MCKEE, Daniel Robert Born in Chapleau to Robert (predeceased) and Lillian McKee. Brother of Rita (husband Terry), Mary Ellen and Bruce both predeceased. Loving husband of Marjorie. Best chum and daddy of Catherine and stepfather of Chris (wife Carol) of Brampton, Doug of Sudbury and Tim predeceased. He will be greatly missed by grandsons Christopher and Zachary. Dan had a short but courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully May 7th, 2003. At his request there will be no public visitation or service cremation. Donations to the Cancer Society would appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.

NOCON, John In loving memory of John Nocon, 82 years of Sudbury who passed away Sunday, May 4th, 2003 at the SRH - St. Joseph's Health Center. He was born in Poland and married Joan (Wakefield) in England 1946. John came to Sudbury in 1952 from England. He had been the custodian at Wembley Public School retiring in 1985 with 34 years service at the Sudbury Board of Education. He was an avid gardener and accomplished woodworking. A determined man he will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his devotion to his loving family. Beloved husband of Joan (Wakefield) Nocon of Sudbury. Loving father of Geraldine (husband John Plecash) of Wawa, Brian (wife Gale) of Ottawa and Lewis (wife Anne) of Richmond Hill. Cherished grandfather of Heather, Christopher, Rachel and Ryan. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Wednesday, May 7th, 2003 at 1 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. RAPKUSKI, Michael James The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Thursday, May 1st, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Son of the late Joseph Rapkuski and of the late Mary Rapkuski (née Kuiach). Beloved husband of Thérèse Aubin of Sudbury. Loving father of Fleurette Aubin of Toronto. Predeceased by his step-daughter, Diane Aubin-Najduk. Dear brother of Catherine Dean of Renfrew. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, John, Evelyn, Mary and Francis. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his step-granddaughter, Debbie-Anne Aubin. Mr. Rapkuski retired from Falconbridge Mines after several years of service. A very quiet and caring man, Michael was a private person who was family oriented. He loved sports and mostly enjoyed hockey, his favorite team being the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mr. Rapkuski was also a member of the Air Force in World War II. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre Dame), Sudbury, Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 4:30 p.m. in the Bishop Roger Despatie Chapel of the Co-Operative Funeral Home, Sudbury. Because of severe allergies, the family requests no flowers. Donations can be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.

SCHRIML, Bertha M. (nee Fleischhacker) In loving memory of Bertha M. Schriml (nee Fleischhacker), 86 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Thursday morning, May 1st, 2003 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. Born in Pilger, Saskatchewan, she married Tony Schriml. Prior to moving to Sudbury, Bertha was a longtime Lively resident, and had been a member of St. Pius X Church and the parish CWL. Always an active person, she was a talented sewer producing beautiful crosstitch and embroidery items. She was an excellent baker and took great pride in her home and family. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother and grandmother taking great joy in watching her grandchildren grow up and achieve their individual successes. Bertha had a unique sense of humour, an inspired faith and a strong personal integrity. Bertha was always quick to help others and the light of her life will be cherished by all who knew her. Beloved wife of Tony Schriml predeceased 1988. Loving mother of Marlene (husband Robert Weston) of Sudbury and Eldine (husband Jack Young) of North Bay. Cherished grandmother of Bobby, Keith (Debbie), Leanne (Scott MacDonald) and Jillian; great grandchild Devan Lee. Dear daughter of George and Mary Fleischhacker predeceased. Dear sister of John (wife Ilia) of Toronto and the late Theresa Bitman, Susan Ecker, George Jr. and Joseph all predeceased. Special sister in law to Muriel predeceased. Will be sadly missed by the Schriml family in Western Canada and many nieces and nephews. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Pius X Church, Lively on Monday, May 5th, 2003 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Survived by sisters-in-law Marie Moore and Del Edwards. Special friend of Florence Dillon and Joyce Emery. STASIUK, Ryan James In loving memory of Ryan James Stasiuk, 24 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Saturday morning, May 3rd, 2003 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. A life resident of Sudbury, Ryan was employed at Palladino Motors. Due to his strong work ethic and keen interest in cars he was being considered for his apprenticeship as a mechanic. In his younger years. Ryan was an accomplished athlete playing competitive hockey and soccer. Ryan loved life and lived it to the fullest having many interests which included camping, fishing, watersports, computers and repairing cars. He had a great sense of humour which he generously shared with others. Ryan will be remembered as a handsome young man who was well liked and respected by all who knew him. The light of his life will be cherished by his loving family and many friends. Beloved son of Gary Tremblay predeceased 1986; and Debbie Stasiuk (husband Bill) of Sudbury. Loving brother of Krissy, Candice and Brandon all at home. Cherished grandson of Mary and Jack Gomme of Sudbury; Pearl Stasiuk of Sudbury. THOMSON, Sister Carol (Sister M. Henrietta) With sorrow The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie and the Thomson/Renaud families announce the death of Sister Carol Thomson (Sister M. Henrietta) as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, April 30, 2003. Born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Carol entered The Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie in 1958. Her early years in the congregation were spent in dietary and laundry services in various cities in Northern Ontario. Later she ministered in Social Work and Pastoral Services in health care institutions in Thunder Bay, North Bay, and Elliot Lake. Carol retired from institutional ministry in 2000 and moved to Sudbury. The past three years she has spent caring for her mother, a resident in the Infirmary of St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay. Carol will be remembered for her infectious laugh that often rang out, her joy for life, her compassionate caring to all whom she met, and her tireless work for the disadvantaged. Carol is survived by her mother, Clara Renaud, brothers; James (Karen) Thomson, Tony (Suzanne) Renaud, sister; Susan (John) Guenette as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father James Thomson and stepfather Ed Renaud. The body of Sister Carol Thomson will be received in the Holy Family Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 02, 2003 (Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m.). The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., in Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Joseph's Motherhouse, North Bay, Saturday, May 03, 2003.
