DEPATIE, Lionel The family announces with sorrow his death, in Sudbury, Sunday, February 12th, 2006 at the age of 82 years. Born March 17th, 1923 in Sellwood, Ontario, he was the son of the late Rosaire and of the late Anna (née Dion) Depatie. Beloved husband of 60 years to Marie Anne Depatie (née Philion) of Sudbury. Loving father of Norman (Linda), Lorraine Leblanc (Bob), Marcel (Judy) all of Sudbury and Daniel (Carmen) of Val Caron. Predeceased by his brothers Lucien, René (Pauline of Sudbury) and Sylvio. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren Sherri, Laura, Robert, Pamela, Angel, Lisa, Anise, Jessica, Alisha and by 10 great-grandchildren. Lionel retired from Falconbridge after 25 years of service. He was a parishioner of St-Dominique Church for over 45 years. Mr. Depatie was also an avid member of the "Club Amical" in Sudbury. DESORMEAUX, Sylvio Henri The family announces with sorrow, his peaceful passing, Monday evening, January 30, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Laurentian Site at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Gonzague and of the late Emilia (nee Lebel) Desormeaux. Beloved husband of Jeannine Desormeaux (nee Myre) of Sudbury. Loving father of Jocelyne "Joyce" Price (Tom) of Whitefish, Lorraine O'Brien (Kevin) and Gilles Desormeaux (Elsa) both of Sudbury, Pierre Desormeaux (Bedu) of South Africa and Marcel Desormeaux (Anna) of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and by his 3 great grandsons and his great- granddaughter. Mr. Desormeaux was born in Hull, Qc. And was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy, serving in the Second World War. He was a member of the War Pensioners of Canada. Sylvio married the former Jeannine (née Myre) in 1946 and later commenced working with Inco Limited, retiring in 1981 as a welder. He was a member of the Inco Quarter Club. At Mr. Desormeaux's request, there will be no visitation. The family will receive friends for a Memorial funeral service to be held at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME Chapel, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. A War Pensioners Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment of Mr. Desormeaux's cremains will be held Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at the Civic cemetery , Sudbury. His strongest attributes were his pride (in his family, his work and himself), his determination, his never-say-quit attitude, and his love for his family. He enjoyed Gaelic music, and cars. He left behind a legacy of love and warm memories to his family. He was a one of a kind father and friend. This warm hearted, caring, honest man will be missed immeasurably by those who love him dearly, but will live in our hearts forever.
