TREMBLAY, Marina Marguerite Marie

At Pembroke on Wednesday, June 7, 2000. Marina Dumouchel age 65 years. Beloved wife of Paul Tremblay. Loving mother of Suzanne (Mrs. Gerry Roche) of Whitby, Lise (Mrs. Sheldon Kean) of Oshawa and Todd Tremblay and his wife Pamela of Chalk River. Cherished grandmother of Cailean, Matthew, Kaitlyn and Sage. Dear sister of Marie (Mrs. Mike Lavergne) of Mackey and Joseph Dumouchel and his wife Andrea of Petawawa. Also fondly remembered are Marina's Pets Webster and Erko. Friends visited with the Tremblay family from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 10th at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Chalk River. A Memorial Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment of Cremated Remains in St. Anthony Parish cemetery , Chalk River. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.

COLEMAN, William J. (Billy)

At Deep River on Wednesday, June 7, 2000. Bill Coleman age 72 years. Loving son of the late David and Mary Ann Coleman. Dear brother of Clarence Coleman of R.R.#1 Deep River. Pre-deceased by 5 sisters; Alice Nadeau, Jane Gallant, Mabel Bourgon, Violet Crawford and 2 brothers Benjamin and John Francis Coleman and 3 infant children. Loving step-brother of Elizabeth Hartwell of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Marlene Vatcher of Oshawa; David Coleman Jr. of North Bay; Kathleen Loranger of Haileybury; Melvina Van Blairicom of Brighton; Bernard Coleman of Alberta; Norman Coleman of Oshawa and Rose Marie Morrison of Trenton. Predeceased by 3 step-sisters Lena DeGroot; Linda and Theresa Coleman and 1 infant sibling. Friends were received at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Saturday at 1:30 P.M. Interment St. Mary's Parish cemetery , Deep River. In Memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of your choice were gratefully appreciated.

LINDSAY, Stuart Alan

Peacefully at the Deep River District Hospital Tuesday, June 6, 2000.
Beloved husband of Karen, predeceased by first wife, Isobel. Loving father of Cathy (Dave) Croft, Ted (Susan) and Gesse Lindsay and stepsons Tim and Jeff (Sharon) Kleinbeck. Grandfather to Dave, Carrie, Rob Croft, Meg, Erin and James Lindsay and Jennifer, Erin and Alyssa Kleinbeck.
Born in Humberstone (now part of Port Colborne) Ontario. He moved to Deep River in 1954 where he worked for Atomic Energy (AECL) until his retirement. Alan will be remembered for his long time involvement with the Deep River Little League, Glider and Lawn Bowling Clubs.
A memorial service will be held, Thursday, June 15 at 11:00 A.M. at the Deep River Community Church. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deep River Lawn Bowling Club.

ATKINSON, Elmer Cecil

At the I.O.O.F. Home, Barrie on Tuesday, September 19, 2000. Elmer Atkinson of Barrie (formerly of RR # 1, Phelpston). In his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Agnes Clements. Dear father of Lois and her husband Norman Freedman of Deep River and Lynda and her husband Murray Temolder of RR # 3, Elmvale. Loved Grandfather of Rachel, Rebecca, Jessica and Sarah Freedman, Bryan, Angela, Heather & Michael Temolder. Brother of the late Clarence, Myra and Lillian. Friends called at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Elmvale from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Service was at St. John's United Church, Elmvale on Thursday, September 21 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Ebenezer cemetery. In Memoriam Donations to the I.O.O.F. RENAUD, Muriel M.

In hospital Pembroke, on Friday, September 22, 2000 in her 81st year. Muriel Margaret Renaud (nee McKinnon) a resident of St. Mary's Home, Deep River; wife of Allen J. Renaud, Petawawa. Dear mother of Jordan Renaud and his finance Wendy Clayton, Deep River. Daughter of the late Lorne and Mildred McKinnon (nee Patterson). Predeceased by her sister Maude Foote and brother Allen McKinnon. By request there will be no visitation or service. Private interment in the Deep River Community cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Home would be appreciated. Arrangements by the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. Cherished grandfather of Lise (Mrs. Marc Paxton) of North Bay, Paul Andre Martel and his wife Laurie of Haileybury, Chantal Martel of Louisiana, Giselle (Mrs. Dan Kutiouskie) of Alberta, Kimberley Ann (Mrs. Ross Mirault) Micheal Mantha and his wife Michelle and Nichole Allen all of Chalk River. Dear brother of Amie Mantha of North Bay, and two sisters Ella Chatelain of Hamilton and Fidelia Regimbal of Pembroke. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters Hortense Delarosebelle and Louisa Lariviere and 6 brothers Georges, Horace, Gaston, Denis, Henri, and Leo Mantha. Before moving to Chalk River, Paul worked for De Luxe Transportation as a Bus Supervisor in North Bay. He also owned and operated a General Store in Chalk River for 22 years until retirement. Peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke on Thursday, September 14, 2000 in her 92nd year. Mary Margaret Sheedy (nee Donnelly) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Clarence Sheedy. Loving mother of Bill and Betty of Nepean, Marion and Ken Smith of Pembroke, Michael and Carol of Kingston, Margaret MacLeod of Cornwall, Kathryn Brum of Round Lake, Helen and Ernie Dufresne of Burlington, Alma and Sandy Haggart of Orleans, Vincent of Simcoe, Elva and Brian Heney of Pembroke. Dear sister of Marguerite Davidson of Kapuskasing. Cherished grandmother and great grandmother. Predeceased by son Lorne, by grandson Bill and brothers Leo, William, Dunlop, Ernie and Cecil, and by sisters Grace, Emily and Helena. Cherished Grandmother of Sheila (Mrs. Joe Renaud) of Valcartier, Quebec, Donald Selby and his wife Susan of Oshawa, Ross Selby and his wife Anne of St. Francis Xavier, Manitoba, Janet (Mrs. Bob Patterson) of Ridgeville, Ontario, Andrew and Thomas Slack both of Powasson, 7 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jeanette Gillespie of Oakville. Predeceased by two sisters Ella Fuller and Margaret Jarman and one brother Jack Oliver. Mark CHRISTIE

Mark CHRISTIE, beloved son of Jane and Douglas Christie, much loved older brother of Laura and Danny, passed away in Calgary on September 12th at the age of 15 years, one week short of his 16th birthday. Mark will be greatly missed by his grandparents, Kaye and Sheldon Gibson and Isabelle and Jim Christie (Deep River); by his uncles, aunts and cousins: Fiona Christie and Asoka Yapa (Oakville), Patricia and Mario and Jessica Belvedere (Oakville), Peter and Heather and Jennifer and Patricia Gibson (Kitchener), Dick and Mariana and Sarah (Chad), Jelena and Alana Gibson (Duncan), Tom and Francine and Kevin and Matthew Gibson (Gatineau) and Jack and Cathy Gibson (Deep River); and by his many friends. Mark was an accomplished athlete in soccer and hockey as well as an outstanding math student. Mark loved life and lived it to the fullest. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be sent directly to The Mark Christie Memorial Fund at Crescent Heights High School, 1091 1st Street NW, Calgary, Alberta T2M 2S2.

Loving mother of Jean-Guy (John Evraire) and his close friend Rosanne Moreau and Francois (Frances) Mrs. Bob Dupuis of Chelmsford. Dear sister of Georgette Sutherland of Deep River. Cherished grandmother of Christopher and his wife Cassandra, Melissa, Jean-Guy and Curtis and great-grandchildren Kassandra, Samantha and Keegan.
