Emptage Doris
(nee Wheeler), wife of the late William Emptage passed away on December 1st, 2004. Doris is immediately survived by Norman, James, Robert, Brenda, David and Ryan. Doris is also lovingly remembered by her four daughters-in-law and twelve grand children. Also bearing this sudden loss is Doris' sister Florence and her brothers Ray, Frank, Lorne and Laurie. A funeral service will be conducted from the Davidson Chapel 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Saturday December 4th at 1:00 PM with Rev. Audrey Brown officiating. Visiting one hour prior to service. Interment , Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. The family will receive friends at the Ratz - Bechtel Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 621 King Street West Kitchener on Sunday December 5th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM for a time of remembrance. Donations toCanadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Fuller Hilda Pearl
Peacefully at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home on Tuesday November 23, 2004. A former merchant and active member of her community, Hilda Pearl Fuller (nee Stainton) of Lion's Head was in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Alfred Fuller, mother of Barry and his wife Sharon of Kincardine, Wendy Gilmour and her husband Bob of Calgary and William of Lion's Head. Grandmother to Jeff Fuller and his wife Judy of Kincardine, Jennifer Hill and her husband Richard of Maitland, Nova Scotia, Jessica Fitzbibbon and her companion Scott Bascom of Nanaimo, Brody and Tyler Fitzbibbon of Calgary, and Sarah Fuller of Mississauga. Great-grandmother to Chelsea and Jaden. Born in Darlington Township, the daughter of Charles Nixon Stainton and Lottie Pearl Cameron, Hilda was predeceased by seven brothers Percival (Percy), Stanley, James, Elmer, Jack, William and Ralph, and one sister, Marion. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head, on Thursday November 25th , from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at Christ Church Anglican, Lion's Head, on Friday November 26th at 2:00 pm with Archdeacon Dr. Jawn Kolohon officiating. Interment Wingham cemetery. Donations in Hilda's memory may be made to Christ Church Anglican, Lion's Head, the Lion's Head Hospital Auxiliary, The Bruce Peninsula Family Centre, Lion's Head or charity of your choice.

Gibbons Harris Harry George
Peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home, Wiarton on Tuesday November 30, 2004. Harry Gibbons of Wiarton in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Marion (Kidd) Gibbons. Step father of Lorraine MacIntosh of Wiarton. Brother of Dorothy (Frank) Low of Sauble Beach. Predeceased by two step sons Ellwood and Bobbie, and one sister Pansy Thomas. Uncle of Doug Thomas and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Harry Gibbons will be held at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Friday December 3rd at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the time of service. Interment Bayview cemetery , Wiarton. Donations to Friends of Gateway would be appreciated by the family.

Hardman Albert Bert Ellis
Peacefully at Gateway Haven on Thursday June 17, 2004. Bert Hardman of Howdenvale in his 102nd year. Last surviving member of his family. Beloved husband of the Late Alice (Weir) Hardman. Dear father of Wes and his wife Mary of Owen Sound, Carl and his wife Marion of Mar and Vivian and her husband Gordon MacDonald of Howdenvale. Special Uncle of Alice and Bob Sear of Howdenvale. Predeceased by one son Wilfred, two grandsons Barry and Joseph, five brothers Roy, Herb, Fred, Russ, Ed and one sister Myrtle Given. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren Brian, LeAnne, Louise, Steven, Ken, Karen, Brad, Kathy, Susan, David, Derek, Sharon, Sherrill and twenty one great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday June 19th at 4:00 PM. with Mr. A.J.V. Leeder officiating. Interment Red Bay cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Friends of Gateway or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Hatt Leslie Byefield Les
Peacefully at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home, Lion's Head on Saturday October 23, 2004. Les Hatt of Pike Bay in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Elsie (Tucker) Hatt (1998). Dear father of Myrna and her husband Barry Dunlop of Wiarton; and Allan and his wife Joanne of Ilderton. Lovingly remembered by his six grandsons Gregory, Grant, Jamie, Craig, Bryan, and Darren, as 'The Great One' . Brother-in-law of Elbern (Leah) Tucker of Mount Forest. Predeceased by two sisters Ida Cameron and Hazel Waugh, two brothers Charles and Roy, and by one brother-in-law Willis Tucker. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted at the chapel on Wednesday October 27th, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Audrey Brown officiating. Interment , Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. Donations to the Pike Bay United Church or Bruce Peninsula Health Services would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home on Sunday June 13th, 2004. Marie (Pelky) Heppenstall of Wiarton in her 108th year. Wife of the late Roy Heppenstall and companion of the late Ed Malone. Loving mother of Ken and his wife Nancy of Oxenden. Special grandmother of Don, Todd, Dianne, Darlene and Bob, four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Predeceased by two sons Robert and Roy Jr., and seven sisters and brothers. The family will receive friends at the George Funeral Home 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Wednesday June 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday June 17th at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Leggatt and A.J.V. Leeder officiating. Interment , Bayview cemetery , Wiarton. Georgian Chapter #186 order of the Eastern Star will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208 Auxillary will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:45 PM . Donations to the Friends of Gateway or the M.R.I. Campaign would be appreciated by the family.

Dear mother of Frances Switzer and her husband David of Calgary, Alberta; John and his friend Elaine Paton of Toronto; Barbara of Nanaimo, British Columbia; David (Ted) of Wiarton; Robert and his wife Julianne of St. Catharines; Brian and his wife Sangeeta of Oakville; Janet Robinson and her partner Tom Wheildon of Owen Sound and Linda of Vancouver, British Columbia. Survived by son-in-law Terry Robinson, one sister Jenny Lynn and one brother Francis (Frankie) Special grandmother of Erin, Jason, Stephany, Tiffany, Zachary, James, Caleb, Amber, Emily, Chloe and Adam and seven great grandchldren. Predeceased by one son William (Bill) and one brother Roland. The family will receive friends at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A funeral service for Margaret Hull will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday October 2 nd at 11:00 AM with Rev. Canon Morley D. Pinkney officiating. Interment Bayview cemetery , Wiarton. Peacefully at the Wiarton Hospital on Wednesday November 24, 2004. Vi (Hiley) Holland of Oliphant in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the Late Stephen Holland and the Late Bill Saranchuk. Dear mother of Rick and his wife Kathe of Brantford and Vicky Holland and her partner Larry Finamore of Guelph. Cherished grandmother of Paul (Dana), Daniel and Christopher. Also survived by two great grandchildren Tori and Cole. Sister of Keith and his wife Shirley of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Predeceased by one grandson Ryan Holland (1985) . The family will receive friends at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Mass of the Christian burial will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Wiarton on Friday November 26th at 11:00am with Father Steve LaCroix officiating. Interment Balsam Grove cemetery , Oliphant. Donations to the Wiarton Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #208 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:45pm.

Louis Mallard and the Late Helmuth Hill. Dear mother of Lois Williamson of Wiarton and Sharon Joseph Chevrier of Owen Sound. Special grandmother of David (Carol) Williamson, Donnie (Joan) Williamson, Randy (Janice) Williamson all of Wiarton, Mary Jo (Glenn) Wheeldon of Ajax, Mike (Shannon) Joseph of Owen Sound, ten great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Special friend of Tony Dimitrieff. Also survived by daughter in law Dorothy Hill and son in law Ted Hatt both of Wiarton. Predeceased by a daughter Elaine Hatt. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted from the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Friday October 15th at 12:00 PM with Rev. David Leggatt officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment of cremated remains at Bayview cemetery , Wiarton. Donations to the Big brothers and big sisters or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at home with her loving husband Wayne on Tuesday November 16, 2004. Linda (Heigenhauser) Morris of RR# 2 Wiarton in her 59th year. Dear mother of Jennifer Morris and her friend Chris Smith of Burlington, and Tammy Morris of Oakville. Special grandmother of D.J. Lynom, Carly, Kassidi and Curtis Smith. Sister of George and his wife Luba Heigenhauser of Toronto. At Linda's Request Cremation has taken place. A private family service will follow.
