Peacefully at the Wiarton Hospital on Wednesday May 26, 2004. Norm Todd of Red Bay in his 71st year. Predeceased by his life partner Paul Kiely. Loving father of Wayne and his wife Karyne of Pickering; and Richard and his wife Christine of Bradford. Special grandfather of Klaire and Rachael. Brother-in-law of Joan Todd of Woodbridge. Predeceased by one brother Robert Todd. At Norm's request, cremation has taken place. Please join the family for a time of rememberance at the Mar Women's Institute Hall on Sunday May 30th, 2004 from 2:00 to 4:30 PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton.

Taylor Hazel
Peacefully at Georgian Heights Nursing Home, Owen Sound on Tuesday April 27th, 2004. Hazel (Bridge) Taylor of Lion's Head in her 80th year. Wife of the late Roy Taylor (1999). Dear mother of Joye and her husband Wayne Currie of Cannington; Gary and his wife Bonnie of Gravenhurst; and Gail and his wife Roslyn of Manitoulin Island. Special grandmother of Darren, Amber, Michael, Matthew, Adam, Daniel, Leslie, and Jamie, and great grandmother of Paige, Jessica, Garrett, Ronan, Meghan, Ethan, Kyle and Ashton. Sister of Irene (Elmer) Krumholtz of Wiarton. Predeceased by one sister Mabel and four brothers Percy, Wesley, Robert and Archie. The family will receive friends at Bethel Missionary Church, 18 Ferndale Road, Lion's Head on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the church on Friday April 30th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Charles Gingerich officiating. Interment Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. Shouldice Margaret Marie
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Thursday July 15, 2004. Margaret Shouldice (Nee Smith) of Lion's Head in her 84th year. Daughter of the Late Joice (Shearer) and Malcolm Smith. Beloved wife of the Late Thomas N. Shouldice (1991). Dear mother of Janice of Alliston and Kent and his wife Susanne of Stoney Creek. Sister of Bernice (Norman) Nixon of Ferndale and Mae (Wm) Martin of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by grandchildren Patricia and Deborah and great grandchildren Joshua, Tara and Shannon. Predeceased by one brother Glen (1994). The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel , 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the Central United Church, Main Street, Lion's Head on Sunday July 18th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Audrey Brown officiating. Interment Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. Donations to the Central United Church, Lion's Head Hospital or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Askie Beatrice Myrtle Bea
passed away suddenly at the Lion's Head Hospital on Friday October 15, 2004. Bea (Beal) Askie of Cape Chin in her 85th year. Loving wife of Dennis Askie. Dear mother of Paul and Pam and grandmother of Matthew, Mandy and Ian. Sister of 'Ciss' Ada Mildred Kemplen. Predeceased by brothers Charles Fredrick (Fred), Lenard John (Len), Rowland Gorden (Rowley) and sister 'Boot' Helena Margaret Knowles. Born in Mereworth, Kent, England she met Dennis, her husband of 58 years, while they both served in the RAF during the war. Inseparable, they immigrated to Canada in 1951, raised their family and worked hard. First living near Dorchester, Ontario and then in retirement at Cape Chin on Georgian Bay. She loved her family, to knit, travel, and tend her gardens. At Bea's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service to honour and celebrate Bea's life will be held at the Christ Church Anglican, Lion's Head on Saturday October 23rd at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jawn Kolohon officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to Saint Margaret's, Cape Chin Memorial Fund, C/O Anglican Parish of Bruce Peninsula, P.O. Box 306, Wiarton, Ontario, N0H 2T0 would be greatfully appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton.

Bartley Carl Milton
Suddenly at his home in Orangeville after an evening at the horse races. Carl Bartley has gone to the winners circle in the sky on Thursday July 15th, 2004. Loving friend of Ann Dafoe. Dear father of Linda Crowther of Orangeville; Victoria and her husband Dave Gillard of Georgetown; Elizabeth Bartley of Orangeville; and Jack Leonard of Bancroft. Special grandfather of 6 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Brother of Rubena Cutting of Port Elgin, Agnes Esch (Harold Cook) of Etobicoke, Irene Wagner of Wiarton, Wilbert (Cathy) Bartley of Owen Sound, Faye (Ray) Moodie of Canfield, Joyce Donald of Edmonton, Alberta and Sheldon (Faye) of Shallow Lake. Brother in law of Shirley Bartley of Dyers Bay. Predeceased by three sisters Audrey, Adela, Neta, and three brothers Percy, Carman, and Ken. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted from the George Funeral Home 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Sunday July 18th at 3:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Mazereeuw officiating. Visiting one hour prior to the service. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Peacefully at the Lion's Head hospital on Tuesday August 24th, 2004. Mamie (Menary) Bray of Lion's Head in her 72nd year. Loving companion of John Woodward. Dear mother of Lynda and her husband Emmet McIver of Lion's Head; Jeff and his wife Bonnie of Sauble Beach; Warren of Lion's Head; and Janice and her husband Stephen Holmes of Tobermory. Special Gram to Michelle, Nathan, Mark, Kirby, Blair and step grandmother to Baden, Shailah, and Tanielle. Predeceased by two grandsons Darcy and Tracy. Sister of Frank (Paulette) Menary of Three Rivers, Quebec, and Margery Tenute of Niagara Falls. Dear aunt of Peter, Jackie and family, and Paula. Devoted friend of Barb and Randy Brown. At Mamie's request, Cremation has taken place. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head on Saturday August 28th, 2004. at 11:00 AM for family and friends. Rev. At the Wiarton Hospital on Tuesday July 27, 2004. Keith Brough of Wiarton in his 74th year. Son of Margaret (Rouse) and the Late Robert Brough. Husband of Lou (Lee) Brough. Father of Mary Wild and her husband Ron of Oakville and Bob and his wife Patty of Kincardine. Grandfather of five grandchldren Robbie, Brian, Steven, Sarah, Alanna and one great grandson Bradley. Brother of Isabell (Bill) Guy of Wiarton; Glen (Betty Lou) of Wiarton; Clinton (Joan) of Cambridge; Scott (Penny) of Mar; Gordon (Barbara) of Owen Sound and Carol (Paul) Hodgins of Penetanguishene. Predeceased by one brother Bruce. At Keith's request cremation has taken place. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton.

Robbins Gordon Gerald
Peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family, at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home, on Tuesday March 9, 2004. Gordon Robbins, of Miller Lake, in his 80th year. Dearly loved husband of Myrtle (Bartley) Robbins. Loving father of Linda Willis, of Stratford, Susan Huston, of Owen Sound, Doug and Janet, of Pike Bay, Dale and Tammy, of Miller Lake, and Ben and Joy, of Wiarton. Grampa Gordon will be lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Predeceased by five brothers and two sisters, Gordon will be sadly missed by his sisters Gertie Holmes, of Chesley and Vera Scott, of Collingwood. Cremation has taken place. Please join Gordon's family to share memories at a memorial visitation to be held at the Bethel Missionary Church, Ferndald Road, Lion's Head on Saturday March 13th from 1 - 4 PM. Dear father of Ron Mole of Michigan, U.S.A.; Linda and her husband Peter Krahl of Perth Road; Mike Campbell and his friend Cindy of Georgetown; Bonnie Campbell and her husband David Lemon of Guelph; and Allan Campbell and his wife Cathy of Rockwood. Special grandfather of Aaron Mole, Amanda Mole, Jason Krahl, Jason Campbell, and Amanda Campbell. A funeral service will be conducted at the George Funeral Home 430 Mary Street Wiarton on Sunday June 20th at 3:00 PM with Rev. David Leggatt officiating. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208 will hold a service at that time. Visitation from 2:00 until time of service. Private interment in Bayview cemetery , Wiarton. Donations to Bruce Peninsula Hospice or the Wiarton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Davison Edward Ernest Ernie
Peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home on Monday July 19th, 2004. Edward 'Ernie' Davison of Wiarton in his 87th year. Loving companion of Doreen Seguin. Dear father of Bob of Flesherton, and John and his wife Donna of North Bay. Special grandfather of Jason and Sean. Loving step-father of Joanne Petrie (Late Gary Petrie) of Wiarton. Predeceased by step-sons Jim Roberts, father of 5, Dave Roberts, father of 6 (Marj Martin) and step-daughter Marilyn Wilkinson (Harold Wilkinson). Sadly missed by many who loved him as Grampa Ernie. Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208 and member of Masonic Enterprise Lodge 516, Beachburg, Ontario. Ernie was a veteran of WW II and a member of an airforce crew decorated for sinking 2 submarines in 22 minutes in the English Channel on D-Day. A memorial service will be conducted at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Wednesday July 21st at 3:00 PM with Rev. David Leggatt officiating. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208 will hold a service at that time. Visitation from 1:00 until time of service. Cremation with interment at Colpoy's Bay cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society, Friends of Gateway or the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.
