SWANSON, Robert "Bobby", suddenly at his home in Port Dover on Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at the age of 79 years. Loving husband of Joyce. Dear brother of Fred of Montreal. Also surviving are several sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Loved step-father of Nancy and Craig. Bob will be sadly missed by his step grandchildren Kelly & Kasey and Trent and Trevor. In keeping with Mr. Swanson's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Service of Memorial and Remembrance will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Port Dover on Friday, October 19, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Rob Doerr officiating. Charitable donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be kindly acknowledged by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, Port Dover 583-1530.

ESSAR, Mathieu - Peacefully at home in Duncan B.C. on Feb. 8th, 2001 at the age of 81, loving husband of Judy Essar, dear father of Lionel, (1951), Sheryl Essar of Errington, B.C., Debbie Essar and (Jake) of Stoney Creek, Ont., Darrell Essar and his wife Deb of Ladysmith B.C. and Blaine Essar and his wife Denise of Brantford, Ont. Dear Grandfather of Shae and his wife Sabrina, Candice, Kory-Rider, Tanya and Diamond. Dear Great-grandfather of Adein and Athena. Matt worked with Morley Bradshaw of Bradshaw Fuels in Waterford, Ont. and Oakland, Ont. from 1973 until his retirement in 1979. During World War II, he served with the Princess Pats of Winnipeg, Manitoba from 1941 to 1945. Theatre included the Canadian, United Kingdom, Continental Europe and Central Mediterranean. Respecting his wishes, cremation has already taken place in Duncan, B.C. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the charity of your choice.

GALBRAITH, George Douglas of Delhi, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday, February 21, 2001, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of the late Betty Evelyn Brown (1999). Dear father of Brenda Hall and her husband Richard of Kitchener, James Galbraith and his wife Sue of Simcoe, Tanya Hoover and her husband Don of Tillsonburg. Dear brother of Mary Murat, Elsie Rice and her husband Jim both of Carson Lake, Jean Austin and her husband Braden of Smith Falls. Dearest and best grandfather of Katie, Becky, Richard, Jay, Bradley, Melissa and Jessie. Also surviving sister-in-laws Barbara Ryerse and her husband Robert & Dorothy Plet and her husband Mickey and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James Galbraith and the former Mary Barney, 1 child (1952), brother Don (1951), brother-in-laws Bob Wilson (1990), Bob Murat (1974). Doug was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #125 Delhi. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. from Trinity Anglican Church Simcoe with Rev. Bryan Robertson officiating. Interment Delhi cemetery. Memorial donations to Camp Trillium/Rainbow Lake or Grand River Oncology Centre would be appreciated by the family (cheques only please). Gedye, Alan Douglas 'Pug" Peacefully at the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville on Monday, February 19, 2001. Alan Gedye age 72 years. Husband of the late Anna McAlpine; stepfather of Albin of Burnaby, B.C.; dear grandfather of Andrea of Calgary, Christine of Winnipeg and 4 great-grandchildren; brother of Bob and Jean Gedye of Hagersville, Ronald Gedye of Simcoe and the late Roy, Ken, Kay Eke, Jack and Joan Soles. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pug was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 164 Hagersville. At Pug's request cremation has taken place with interment of Cremated Remains in the family plot at Oakwood cemetery , Simcoe. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the R.C.L. Br. 164 Building Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements by Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville.

Jaworski, Jadwiga Stanislawa (nee Tarnowska) - peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe On Friday, February 16th, 2001 in her 81st year. Born December 14th, 1920 in Poland, Jadwiga is the beloved wife of the late Marian Jaworski (1971). Proud mother of Joseph Jaworski of Simcoe; Frances Pasek and her husband Stanley of Windham Centre; Edward Jaworski and his wife Catherine of Simcoe, Krystyna Jaworski of Ancaster and Stanislaw Jaworski and his wife Pamela of Simcoe. Mrs. Jaworski will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Christopher, Dana, Stanley, Suzie, Wesley, Jeffrey, David, Gerry, Annette, Marsha and her great grandchildren Derek, Dwayne, Darryl, Shane, Madison and Cole. Mrs. Jaworski is predeceased by her parents the late Andresja Tarnowski and the former Franciszka Bartoszek. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jadwiga with her family at the jason smith funeral chapel, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe on Monday, February 19th, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers to be said at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (corner of Union St. and Queen St., Simcoe) on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Father Brian Klooster Celebrant. JOSEPH, Catherine Pamela (Malo) - Formerly of Simcoe , peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Brantford, Ontario on Wednesday, February 21, 2001 in her 47th year. Loving mother of Karen, Megan and Michael and wife of Robert Joseph of Paris. Cherished daughter of Andrew and May Malo and dear sister of Mary Anne Nightingale and husband Bob of Simcoe; Nancy Hoffman and husband Peter of Kitchener; and Judy Kormos and husband Larry of Port Dover. Dear aunt to nieces and nephews Ryan and Darren Nightingale; Andrew, Julianne and Jenna Hoffman; and Rachel, Johnathan and Natalie Kormos. Daughter-in-law of Bill & Marjorie Joseph. Will be sadly missed by her family, her aunts and uncles Henry and Marie Kaes; George and Edna Malo; Mary Malo; Agnes Bahula and all of her cousins and friends. Catherine attended Bloomsburg Public School and Simcoe Composite School and received her Nurse's Aide diploma from Mohawk College. KENNEDY, Delina (Del) - After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, peacefully passed away at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton on Friday, February 16, 2001. Delina in her 84th year. Loving wife and best friend of Ben for 64 years. Dear mother of Robert and wife Norma Jean of Waterford, Helen and husband Fred Guttmann of Hamilton, Don and wife Cathy of Hamilton and predeceased by James (1951-1971). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Kimberley and husband Joe of Orangeville, Bryan and Kelly of Simcoe, Cori of Simcoe, Starr of Simcoe, Thomas of Toronto, Lisa and husband John of Hamilton, Kenneth and wife Darlene of Hamilton. Great-grandmother of Ashley, Brittany, Keith, Eric, Kara, Nathan and Ryan. Survived by brother Gordon and sister Florence. Dear friend of Ivy Brittain. Delina was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #58. Family received friends at the L. G. Lycett, Alfred William "BUD" formerly of Calgary, Alberta; more recently of Simcoe, Ontario suddenly at the Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday, February 18, 2001 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Patricia Lycett of Simcoe. Proud father of Shannon Lycett and her fiancee Ryder Carpenter of Charlotte, North Carolina. Bud will be fondly remembered by his sisters Helen Nesbitt of Newcastle; Marjorie Ashton of Bowmanville and his brother Everett Lycett of Delhi. Bud and Pat have owned and operated Crusty's Bakery in the Simcoe Mall for many years. Bud is predeceased by his parents, the late Alfred Charles Lycett and the former Kathleen Robertson. Mrs. Eleanor Lois (Bilger) Robinson, a lifelong resident of Middleton Township, (RR3 Delhi) at the age of 75 years. (Active and dedicated member of the Courtland Fellowship Baptist Church and the Ladies Fellowship and Bible Study). Born November 17th, 1925 daughter of the late George Bilger and the late former Susie"Nellie" (Albright) Bilger. Predeceased by her husband Lyle Francis Robinson (January 3rd, 1988). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of: George L. Robinson and his wife Jean of Courtland, Ronald G. Robinson and his wife Evelyn of RR1 Delhi, Marlene and her husband Gerry Mailloux of RR2 Tillsonburg and Mark H. Robinson and his wife Evelyn of RR1 Belment. Proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: Jason, Susan; Christine, Carolyn and Christopher Robinson; Stephen, Bryan and Allan Mailloux. Dear sister of Mrs. Isabelle Garringer of Dunnville, Charlton and his wife Barb Bilger of Port Hope, Ontario, a sister-in-law Mrs. Helen (Louis) Bilger of Tillsonburg. Survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a much loved son David A. Robinson (1968). Also predeceased by : a sister Ruth Bilger, a brother Erle Bilger and his wife Georgette, a brother Louis Bilger, a sister Leone Langohr and her husband (brother-in-law) Foster "Fuzz" Langohr, and a brother-in-law Ron Garringer.
