MUSGROVE, Leonard Thomas – At the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Saturday, July 3, 2010 in his 97th year. Beloved husband of 66 years to Mary Musgrove (nee Cook). Cherished father of Peter Musgrove. Predeceased by his parents William and Jessie (nee Clarke) and sisters Marjory, Alberta, Audrey and Eva. Friends will be received at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Tuesday, July 6th from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens cemetery , Scarborough. Those wishing may make donations to the Northumberland Humane Society. Naugler, Evelyn Mary, aged 97 years, at Extendicare, Cobourg, Ontario, passed from this earth Friday, July 2, 2010 to join her soul mate Owen Lamont, who predeceased her in 1978. Born 16 June 1913 at Western Head, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late William Herbert and Annie Estella (Frelick) Tarr. Evelyn married Owen Lamont Naugler, 15 June 1932 in Liverpool, NS and made a home with her husband for the next 46 years. A woman of strong Christian and family ideals she instilled her love of family and God in all her children. She will be sadly missed by her four daughters and one son; Mary (Lorne) McCormick, Burlington, Joan (Bernard) King, Mississauga; Stanley (Gina) Naugler, Niagara Falls; Shirley (George) Legere, Grafton; Dale, (late Kenneth) Winter of Cobourg, her grandchildren; Linda McCormick (David) Lister; Darlene (Philip) Groves; Brian (Rose) McCormick; Ann (Mark) Rudmik; David (Jane) Naugler and Troy (Louise) McIlravey; Paul (Rosemary) Legere; Peter Legere; Murray Legere; Patricia (Alan) Smille; Deborah (John) Russell; Douglas (Nikki) Winter; her fifteen great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Evelyn is survived by her sister Nell (late William) Carter, Don Mills; sister-in-law Marie (Hatt) Tarr, Liverpool, Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her husband Owen Lamont Naugler, brothers Morris (Jean) Tarr; Arthur (Josephine) Tarr; Lawrence (Marion) Tarr; William (Kay)Tarr; Bruce Tarr; her sisters, Ethel (Reginald) Hartlen; Dorothy (Jordan) Myra; Alice Vera (Harry) Hartlen; Thelma (David) Ross and an infant sister and grandsons Bruce Naugler and Brett McIlravey. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church (Corner of College and King St. E. in Cobourg) on Wednesday, July 7th at 1 pm. Visitation to be held at St. Paul's Chapel of St. Peter's Church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service, from 12 noon until 1 pm. Burial Fairview cemetery , Niagara Falls, Ontario. ROGERS, DAVID JAMES – 60 years old, Cobourg, Ontario, husband and soul mate of Dr. Monica Sheridan, passed away suddenly during the early hours of June 30th, 2010. David is father to Lee, Jonathan, Kyle and Ashley, and step-father to Mathew and Chad LaFrance. David was born on October 23rd, 1949 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, second son of Margaret ‘Madge’ Fow (nee Dunn) and the late John ‘Jack’ Rogers (of Belfast) and brother of the late John Rogers and Etta (nee Eakin of Belfast), uncle to Clifford and Marie Rogers of Toronto. David immigrated to Canada with his family and step-father the late Tom Fow in 1968, and was brother to Peter Fow and Susan Fow (nee Lea), uncle to Daniel and Michael (of Orangeville). David was husband to Lesley Rogers (nee Waters) and father to three beautiful sons, Lee, Jonathan, Kyle and his fiancée Ashley Douglas of Cobourg. He was son-in-law to James and Barbara (nee Brennan) Waters of Darlington, England. David is son-in-law to Richard ‘Dick’ and Phyllis Sheridan (nee Russell) of Orillia, step-father to Matthew and Chad LaFrance (Melissa Scripture), and step-grandfather to Coryn and Pearson LaFrance of Peterborough, Ontario. When he married Monica he joined her large family and is loved by brothers and sister-in-laws Paul Sheridan and Joni Pethick (Timothy and Jessica), Pat and Jenny Sheridan (Carly, Amanda, Sean, Daniel, and Maggie) Mary Lisa Sheridan and Hans Harlos (children Samantha and Richard), Joseph Sheridan and Gino Berti (Penny and Brandon), and the late Timothy Sheridan. David was an incredible, kind, loving, and hardworking man who was generous beyond expectation, intelligent beyond measure, wise beyond his years, and maintained many strong and rewarding relationships throughout his life both professionally and socially. David was founder and CEO of Isowall/Structural Panel Industries (SPI) in Baltimore, Ontario, a dedicated member of a number of different local councils and organizations, including United Way, Chamber of Commerce, and long-standing member of the Cobourg Yacht Club. Please join us at MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St. E. Cobourg) on Monday, July 5th, 2010, as we celebrate an extraordinary legacy. A visitation with family will be held between the hours of noon and 2PM, followed by a ceremony to commemorate David’s life. John Patrick Quinlan
April 16, 1930 - June 29, 2010

Quinlan, John Patrick (Jack) (1930-2010) peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on June 29, 2010. Son of Thomas and Ellen. Beloved husband of Mary Quinlan (nee Deschamps). Loving father of Ted (Sandy) and Tim (Helen). Jack leaves great memories with grandchildren Ryan and Brendan as well as his many nieces and nephews. Beloved brother of the late Maurice, Tom and Bill. Lovingly remembered by sisters Kathleen, Helen and Margaret (Tom Mason) and by his sister in laws Violet, Joan, Donna, Jane and Brother in law of John, also Paul predeceased. Jack was a community man, he touched many lives. He was a hard working man with 38 years service at Air Canada and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He had a kind sense of humour and will be missed by many friends and relatives. Gibson, William (Leland) Peacefully passed away at home after a short illness, surrounded by family and friends on, Saturday June 12, 2010. Leland was born January 1, 1956 in Cobourg Ontario. He was the son of Lowell Karen Gibson and the late William James Gibson of Edmonton, Alberta. Husband for 36 years of Wendy Gibson (nee Thompson). Leland is survived by two children, Michelle (James Annis) and Jason (Kim Landry) of Port Hope, Ontario. Loving Grandfather of Dakota, Ty, Kianna, Emma and Raya and Loving Uncle to many precious nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Sister Caron Jacobson and loving Brother to Shawn, Julie and Raeanne Gibson of Edmonton, Alberta. Also missed by his numerous family members and friends. Leland lived to fish and was an advocate for catch and release and water conservation. He will be missed by his many friends at Sunny Acres Campground of Fenelon Falls. After 25 enjoyable years of being a journeyman roofer, at the age of 46 he found the career he loved most in driving transport and travelling all over North America for MJ Express of Cobourg. POTTER, DONALD GEORGE - Gently released from earthly life surrounded by loved ones on Thursday June10, 2010, in his 68th year, after a valiant battle with cancer. Don's life enriched those of many others with his outstanding wit and captivating personality throughout his endeavors in the fields of security, music and antiquing, in the Maritimes and Ontario. He made countless friends throughout his full life which sociable experiences and memories he treasured and which greatly sustained him during his last years with us. Don will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his current partner Inge Wilkinson and her children; his own family members and all others within the branches of the Potter, Foster, Robertson and DiGiulio families and extended families at Paragon Security, Canadian Musicians and antiquing colleagues and many others who knew and loved him over the years. Sister of Jim Cross (Helen) and the late Richard (Mary) Cross. Sister-in-law of Sheldon Fleming. Aunt of Alison Cross, George Fleming, Heather Brooking (John), Tom Fleming (Cindy), Chris Fleming (Lesley), Andrew Cross (Lida) and Bruce Cross. Predeceased by her parents Earl and Mildred Cross. Graduated in 1952 in Hamilton in nursing and returned to Cobourg where she nursed for many years. She began her art career in her 40s and was active in the local art scene. She was a founding member of the Colborne Art Gallery. She experienced her spirituality through her art and also in her religious community. Friends will be received at MacCOUBREY FUNERAL HOME 30 King St. E. Cobourg (905-372-5132) for visitation on Sunday May 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH on Monday May 17 at 2 p.m. Donations to Trinity United Church, Northumberland Hills Hospital – Palliative Care or the Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family.

POPE, James William “Jim” - Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday May 12th, 2010 in his 55th year. Beloved husband of Diane Theriault. Loving father of Robert Webster (Danielle Sowerby) and James Webster (Andrea Wall). Dear son of John Pope and the late Gwen Pope. Grandfather of Taylor Shanno. Brother of Stephen Pope and Katherine Pope. Lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Lois Theriault and brother-in-law of Linda Theriault, Michelle Tough and Robert and Stacey Theriault. Friends are invited to call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 11 King St., W., Colborne on Sunday May 16th, from 12 noon – 2 pm., followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. Cremation with interment in Castleton cemetery. If desired donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
