Marquis, Thelma Jean (Shelley) (nee Alborough) (June 15, 1936) peacefully passed away on Saturday November 20th 2010 with the family she loved by her side at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Ontario. She was 74 years young. Daughter to late Lilian Elsie and Charles Alborough. A woman of great inner strength, Thelma is survived by Leonard Marquis, her dedicated husband of 48 years, her son Randall Maeda (Laura Francey), daughter Lise Marquis (Edward Lachmansingh), Len’s son Carl Marquis (Katherine Marquis), brothers Kenneth, David and Allan Alborough, and dear sister Donna Beaton. Predeceased by her son Robin Maeda, Robert Maeda, sister Marlene Wheeler and brothers Roy, Glen, Edward Alborough. A life marked by personal sacrifice and dedication to family; entertaining, volunteering, growing and creating beauty around her. Her love lives through us today. Andy will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Andy’s formal education began at Lakefield College and continued at U.C.C. Following graduation from Trinity College at U. of T., Andy studied law at Osgoode Hall.
