Peacefully in Ottawa on July 24, 2003 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Suzanne. Cherished brother of Yvonne, Christiane, Antoinette, Sister Mary Joseph (Madeleine) Albert, Godelieve, Monique and his brother-in-law Jacques. He also leaves behind his adopted children, Marie-Pierre, Xavier, Jean-Francois, Dominique; his grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul was born in Bruges, Belgium after an important period of twenty years in L'Abbaye de Maredsous, he emigrated to Canada in 1964. He was a teacher in Ste-Therese-de-Blainville, in Matagami, in Farnham, in Touraine (St-Alexandre College) and in Ottawa (Lycee Claudel and Ottawa University). As well as being a teacher he was an expert in UNESCO in Africa. passed away peacefully on July 18, 2003, at 12:45 am. at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus, in her 61st year, after a very long and courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her loving parents John and Gwendalyn Hinge and leaves to mourn her sister Sandra Faye Joines (David), niece Faye Sheila Joines and nephews Mark Russell and Trevor John Joines. It is with unimaginable sadness, she leaves her aunts Iris McDonald and Mazie Lamirande and many cousins. She will be deeply missed by long-time friends and work mates Sandy Watts, Suzanne Loewen, Patricia Archer, Wanda Walk (of B.C.) and Ruth Grealis. Gail worked for more than 25 years for the Federal Government, firstly at the NRC, followed by the Department of Fisheries and Indian Affairs. Her strong faith in God, her tremendous courage and personal strength have carried her through difficult times. May she now rest in peace. Went home to be with His Lord in his 73rd year on Sunday, July 20, 2003 after a short week of illness at the William Osler Health Center in Etobicoke, Ontario. Beloved husband of Ruth Morin (originally from Medicine Hat, Alberta) and the late June McAlpine (nee Russell). Jim is survived by his 4 children Nancy Cavey (Bill) of Winnipeg, Bruce McAlpine and Russ McAlpine (Lois) both of Waldheim, Sask. and Tanis Macinsky (Mike) of New Hartford, NY. and his 10 loving grandchildren. Jim is survived by his brother Don McAlpine (Donna) of Fergus, Ontario and his sisters-in-law Sadie and Ann. Predeceased by his brothers Ken and Bob. Jim's warm smile and big handshake will be missed greatly by all including his brother -in-law John Russell (Dorothy) of Calgary and also Ruth's loving family David, Donna, Glen, Leslie, Ted and Candace. Born in Dutton, Ontario and later moving to Toronto Jim met June Marilyn Russell. They married and raised a family of four, first in Agincourt, Ontario and then in Ottawa. After June's passing in 1991 Jim married Ruth and they made their way to Calgary for his retirement. His career was primarily as a salesman; his great love was to serve The Lord. He was an active member at the Metropolitan Bible Church when he lived in Ottawa and First Alliance in Calgary. Jim was involved with Friends Of Israel (FOI) and was currently sitting on the board in Canada. At home on July 15, 2003 after a brief illness and a life well lived. Much loved wife of William D. Mills. Devoted mother of Kathleen (wife of Graham Macmillan), Janet (wife of Hans Jonasson), David (husband of Shelagh O'Brien) and Tom (husband of Colleen Thurrott). Beloved grandmother of 13 grandchildren. Fondly remembered by sister Babs Woodcock, brothers Reginald and Charles Lamon and sister-in-law Ann Heintzman. Helen was born in Orangeville, Ontario in 1921 and raised in Oshawa. She served as a dental nurse in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII. Her married life was spent in Ottawa where she enjoyed many happy summers at the family cottage on Lake Clear.
