Predeceased by his two brothers, Roy and Rhéal. Chantal (nee Paquette) Ledoux

passed away in Ottawa on July 28, 2003 at the age of 43 years. Predeceased by her husband Yves, and father René. She leaves behind her mother Ange-Aimée (nee Chartrand) of Ottawa, her two sons Simon of Montreal and Eric of Ottawa, brothers Jean-Pierre Paquette (Barbara Blanchette) of L'Orignal, Philippe Paquette (Claire Gauthier) of Ottawa, sisters Louise Howes (Donald) of L'Orignal, Marie-Paule Lamarche (Pierre) of Hawkesbury, Micheline Bédard (Michel) of Clarence, and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Predeceased Chantal were her brother Jacques and sister Michcle. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Lucille Kathleen (nee Butler) Muise

Peacefully on July 24th, 2003, in Ottawa. Born in Comox, British Columbia, she was the daughter of George and Raynee (Govier). She will be remembered for her past work with disabled children and other volunteer activities. Her family is especially proud of her perseverance with respect to overcoming various obstacles in life. She is survived by her son, Randy Dahl (Ilana); her sister Ann Coutts (John); her stepsister Debra Ferdon; her uncle and aunt, George and Doris Govier; her uncle and aunt, Oren and Grace Govier and best friend Pierre Leblanc. A special thank you to the staff of the Civic Campus Resus Unit, ICU and the CCU of the Heart Institute for their care and compassion; also her close friends, Michelle April, Angela Situ and all her friends from church. It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Myrtle O'Shaughnessy on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at her home in Ottawa. Myrtle was the most loved wife and best friend of Albert for 57 years. Cherished mother of the late Maureen O'Shaughnessy. Dearly loved grandmother of Christine (Ed Chaplin) and very proud great-grandma to Aidan Chaplin. Daughter of the late Harry and Martha Shellhorne of Madawaska, Ont. Predeceased by her siblings Clifford Shellhorne, Clayton Shellhorne and Sadie Fawcett. Myrtle also filled the roles of special aunt and dear friend. Many will miss her loving spirit, kindness and generosity. Adoring father of Stephan and Joelle. Devoted son of Juliette and the late Sylvio Raymond. Dear brother of Jeanine Genier (Laurent), Pierre (Lise), Lise Fournier (Richard), Daniel (Bev). Special godfather of Melanie, Pascal and Alexandre. Jean-Guy also leaves behind his parents-in-law, his stepfather, brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews with their children and countless friends. After a short illness, Alan passed away with his devoted wife Kathy at his side. He will be mourned by his loving wife and devoted parents Casey & Bess Swedlove, dear twin sister Carol-Sue Shapiro (Jack), niece and nephew Tracy (Steven Samel), and Michael Shapiro (Nikki) and great-niece Neilah. His laughter and jokes will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. Funeral Service was held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue on July 25, 2003. Dear brother-in-law of Josephine Ward (the late Ernest) of Ottawa and Isabella Foy of Sudbury. Dear uncle of Sanda Plewes (Chris) and their children Kim and Jeff; Carol Ward (Frank Greene) and their son Shane; and Barbara. Jim's life was the Army for 35 years serving in Korea and Post-War in Germany, England and Canada. He had a passion for golfing, curling, travelling and was involved with Christ Church Cathedral. He was posted in Nova Scotia for 22 years and 12 years in Ottawa. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Don's compassion and kindness has touched many lives throughout both his service and friendship and will be missed by all who knew him. A woman of grace and dignity, Mom was the beloved wife of the late Harold Young and the loving mother of William Young (Sandra), of Hudson, PQ, and Cameron Young (Anne) of Victoria, B.C. "Baba" was the cherished grandmother of Kerry, Michael (Mikhaela), and Jennifer, and the great-grandmother of Maddison. She is survived by her sister Ruth Hardie and sister-in-law Florence Armstrong. Mom's life was long and rich, and she will be missed. Peacefully, in his 97th year, at the Peter D. Clark Centre, Ottawa on Wednesday, November 26th, 2003. Predeceased in 1987 by his wife of 56 years, the former Christina Lambros; and by his brothers and sisters. He was the beloved father of 3 daughters, Maria (Tasso Karkazis) of Folsom, California, Helen (James O'Grady) of Ottawa and Ariadne (Howard Gribble) of White Rock, B.C. Costica was born in Yassi, Romania on March 17th, 1906, and lived in Constantinople, New York and Montreal before coming to Ottawa in 1950. He was the proprietor of Constantine's Pastry in Ottawa until 1964 when he relocated to California to own a new business, McGavin's Bakery, in Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto, until 1978. An expert pastry maker and confectioner, his artistic creations were greatly admired by many patrons in both locations. In Ottawa, he was a long time member and President of AHEPA, the men's organization of the Greek Orthodox Church. He leaves a legacy of 10 loving grandchildren, Christine Moll, George Karkazis, Patsy Nunes and Stacy Trossen, all of California; James O'Grady of Toronto; Tammi Mantle of Toronto, Michael Oades of Thunder Bay and Christine Oades of Vancouver; Anita and Hayley Gribble of England and 18 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Thursday, December 4, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday December 5, 2003 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Pinecrest cemetery. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff of the Ottawa Civic Hospital I.C.U for their care and compassion.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the departure of Brian Busby, who passed away peacefully on November 29, 2003 at the age of 69. A wonderful husband and best friend of Barbara (nee Baker) of 44 years. A kind and loving father and father-in-law of Joan (Craig Parker) and Brian (Sandra). He was a cherished grandfather, and many special times will be remembered by his four grandchildren, James, Thomas, Katherine and Bryanna. Son of the late Thomas and Kathleen Busby. Loving nephew of Eileen Paquette. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Ottawa, Monday, December 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Maurice Roman Cahtolic Church, 4 Perry Avenue (at Meadowlands Dr.), Ottawa on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Pinecrest cemetery.
