ALLISON, Larry Wayne “Fuzz“ - At the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 16, 2006 in his 70th year. Larry Allison beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Sharon and Allan Silverthorne, Wayne and Brenda Allison, Gidget and Ken Shurr. Proud and loving grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Dear brother to Sharon, Carol, Marilyn, Elaine, Shirlene, and Leonard. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law and husband Leona and Charlie Summerfield. Saldy missed by his nieces, nephews and their families. Private family service has taken place. An Interment Service will be announced in Spring of 2007. Nina Jean (nee Booker) Hoover

HOOVER, Nina Jean (nee Booker) - Gone to be with her Lord and Saviour, at Norcliffe Lifecare Centre, Hagersville, on Thursday, October 12, 2006, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Duncan Hoover (1979). Loving mother of Walter (Carole) Hoover, Ken Hoover, Sharon (Don Adshead and mother-in-law of Jack Bowden. She be lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Lois, granddaughter Penny, great granddaughter Carrie and daughter-in- law Barbara. Special thank you to the staff at Norcliffe Lifecare Centre for their excellent care. Friends were received at the Ballard- Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in the Chapel on Monday, October 16, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. Interment Union cemetery , Sweets Corners. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.

Joanne Marie Fordyce

FORDYCE, Joanne Marie - In loving memory of Joanne Marie Fordyce, 52 years, who passed away Tuesday morning, October 10th, 2006 at her home. Beloved mother of Dale Desjardins (wife Louise) and Robert Lachance (partner Amber Lavoie) both of Sudbury. Cherished daughter of John (predeceased) and Aline Fordyce of Elliot Lake. Loving sister of Carl White (wife Mariette) of Thunder Bay. Special aunt of Keith, Kevin and Cynthia. Sadly missed by her cannine pal Gizmo. Joanne was born in Matheson, she worked as a P.S.W. with Christian Horizons. Her two sons would like to say “to our beloved mother who is now among the angels watching over us, she lost her battle with cancer, but she won in her journey through life“. A service will be held at the cemetery for family and close friends. Cremation. Donations to the Cancer Center, Sudbury or St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, Elliot Lake would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.

Pearl Grace (Smith) Groves

GROVES, Pearl Grace (Smith) - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Pearl Grace Groves (Smith) in her 93rd year, on Saturday, October 14th, 2006, peacefully at St. Joseph's Manor. Loving wife of Leonard Thomas Groves (predeceased). Mother of Joan Groves of Elliot Lake, Dianne and her husband Clark Pinder of Elliot Lake and Gloria Groves of Vancouver B.C. Grandmother of Pattie, Susan, Cathy, Michelle, Michael, Ross, David, Stephen, William, Susanne and Jacqueline. Great grandmother of thirteen great grandchildren and great great grandmother of one great great grandson. A celebration of her life and interment will be held in Orillia, Ontario at a future date.

Cecile (Nee Duchene) Koleszar

KOLESZAR, Cecile (Nee Duchene) - 1933-2006, The family announces with sorrow her peaceful death at the Timmins & District Hospital on Friday, October 13, 2006 after a series of serious illnesses at the age of 72 years. Beloved wife of George Koleszar and mother of Laurier “Larry” Bourgeois (wife Annie), Marc Bourgeois, Bryan Bourgeois (wife Wendy), Collin Bourgeois (wife Anita) and Penny-Kim Cossette (husband Yvon). Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren; Stephanie Dunn (husband Robert Jr.), Christian Bourgeois, Martin Bourgeois, Nadine Bourgeois, Shawn Bourgeois, Matthew Bourgeois, Bryce Bourgeois, Patrick Cossette, Steve Cossette, Amanda Gray, Mitchell Gray (wife Marie) as well as 6 great grandchildren Liam and Mallory Dunn and Dawson, Xexilia, Zekiah and Drayven Gray. Dear sister of (Desneiges Epp (husband John), Emma Laforge, Theresa Gardner (husband Fred), Henry (wife Phyllis), Leo (wife Jeannette) Emile (wife Jane), Philibert (wife Louise), Edgar (wife Priscilla), Edmond (wife Sue) as well as a brother-in-law Ray Poirier and 2 sisters-in-law Ruby Duchaine and Elsie Johnston. Predeceased by her parents Josephat Duchesne & Eleanora Gauvreau, her former husband Edmond Bourgeois, her brothers Eugene, Nelson and Jerry and her sisters Leona and Ruby. Cecile was a proud member FFCS formally of St. Sauveur Parish and the CWL of the former Nativity Parish. She worked as a waitress at various restaurants in Timmins and her outgoing, friendly and caring personality will be remembered by many. She was a loving wife and companion and a caring mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thanks to Dr. Paquette and nurses in Medical 2 for the compassionate care given to her in her last days. Thanks also to Bayshore for the home visits by Tracy Funk and to the Red Cross for homecare, especially homemakers Kathy Weir, Linda Berthiaume and Priscilla St. Jacques. They were a godsend. Special thanks also to her very dear friends; Paulette Coté, Françoise Perras and Rene Bastien who shared their friendship with her daily through her ordeal during the last 5 years. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Anthony's of Padoua Cathedral. Interment at Timmins Memorial cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Timmins & District Hospital Foundation or a Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Loving Dad of Linda and Greg (Johnson), Bill and Johan, David and Suzanne, Ken and Heather. Proud Grandpa of Jessica and Tim (Johnson), Robert and William, Lynsey and Jory. Survived by his sister Florence (Todd). Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Nellie, brothers Howard and Art, and sister Dorothy (Burnett). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews and his many friends. Harold retired after 29 years of dedicated service with the Markham Fire Department. President of Markham and East York Agricultural Society (Markham Fair) in 1985. Friends will be received at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main St. N. SCHUELER, Kjellaug - passed away peacefully at the Huronia District Hospital on Friday, October 13, 2006 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Hans Schueler. Loving mother of Solveig Greppmayr and Barbara Schueler. Dear Oma of Jennifer, Bjorn, Christopher, Stephanie and Anthony. Great Oma of Declan. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Wednesday, October 18th at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. Lorne Allan Budge

BUDGE, Lorne Allan - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing away peacefully of Lorne Allan Budge (age 82) Sunday October 15, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved husband of Jeanne Budge (nee Boulrice) of Spanish, loving father of Kevin (pre-deceased) Julie, Lorna, Deborarah, Allan (Maureen), Curtis (Suzanne), Brett (Lorna-Rae), Kim (Serge) Paquin, Darren (Denise) and Sherri (Mike). Cherished grandfather of twenty and great grandfather of eighteen. Lorne was born, raised, married , raised his family, worked and retired in this his community. He will truly be missed by numerous friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held this Thursday October 19, 2006 at 11:00 p.m. at the Spanish Legion with Reverend Cathy Russell officiating with interment at Mount Calvary cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to either the Elliot Lake Palliative Care or to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services, a Funeral Home that cares.

Wayne Constantineau

CONSTANTINEAU, Wayne - After a courageous battle with cancer, Wayne passed away peacefully Saturday September 30th at Toronto East General Hospital with family at his side. Dear brother of Richard (Rhea) Constantineau of Espanola, Paulette (Joe) Houle of Massey, brother-in-law of Shirley Constantineau of North Bay, and dear uncle of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Colombe, father Arthur, and brother Bob. Wayne had many friends from many walks of life across the world. His most recent engagement was as Training Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity in the Waterloo Head Office. Habitat for Humanity Montreal has created a “Wayne Constantineau Award“ to be given on an annual basis, accompanied by a bursary, to recognize Wayne's great endeavours for the organization in the province of Quebec. Wayne's last months were spent finishing a life-long scholarly project with the help of a team of friends and colleagues. Graveside service will take place on Saturday October 21st at 12:00 p.m. at the Espanola cemetery.

FISCHER, Henry - Our warrior of life, born may 7, 1954 past away peacefully October 17, 2006. He leaves behind his dearly and cherished friend Elna Cernik and her family, who gave him strength to leave this world far a better life with God. Dear brother of Lynn Marcoux (Claude). He leaves a son, four sisters, two brothers (one deceased). At his request, cremation will be held in Thunder Bay with the family and friends he loved.

Sydney Raymond Hunt

HUNT, Sydney Raymond - passed away at Talon Lake on Saturday October 14th 2006 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Donna (Vivian) and loving father to Stacy of Oakville and Terry (Debra) of Corbeil. Cherished Gramps to Jordan and Tieghan Hunt. Survived by his brother Keith and sister Joyce. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Thelma, sister Kathleen and brothers Clarence and Donald. Ray was a professional engineer and worked at the Hamilton Hydro before transferring to the North Bay Hydro in 1973 in the role of operations manager. Ray retired in 1990 and built their dream home on Talon Lake. At Ray's request there will be no visitation. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the North Bay Humane Society in Ray's memory would be appreciated.

William James (Bill) Mcmullen

MCMULLEN, William James (Bill) - At Western University Hospital in London, Ontario on Saturday October 14, 2006 in his 79th year. Survived by daughter Leslie (James) Young and granddaughter Madison. Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in London, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or North Bay Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

Winnifred Jean Reid

REID, Winnifred Jean - Promoted to Glory with her Lord and Saviour after a long and valiant battle with heart disease. Peacefully at the Trillium Manor Orillia on Tuesday, October 17th, 2006 in her 88th year. Jean Reid (nee Logan) of Orillia, wife of the late Harold Reid. Much loved mother of Ralph (Pat) of Cumberland Beach, Barry (Gloria) of Nova Scotia, Jeanette (Terry Hubbell) of Orillia, Harold (Judy) of Sutton. Loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Dear sister of Francis Nardilli of Bradford, Gordon Logan (Doris) of Campbellford, Doris Deveraux of Toronto, and the late George, Jackie, Robert and Jim. Terry and I had the privilege of having Mom at our place for fifteen months before going to nursing home. Many thanks to Community Care, Red Cross, Bayshore Nursing and C.C.A.C. for the wonderful care. Mom then went into Trillium Manor for six months. Mom never complained; always grateful and appreciative. A special thank you to Dr. Harry Hall for his gentle mannerism and undivided attention while attending mom. Funeral services will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E., Orillia on Friday, October 20th at 1 p.m. A reception and time of visitation will follow. Interment St. Andrew's - St. James' cemetery , Orillia. Memorial donations to the “Bus Fund“ at Trillium Manor or the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

BERGSTRA, Findlay Paterson - In loving memory of Findlay Bergstra, 23 years who passed away suddenly, Sunday morning October 15th, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, St. Joseph's Health Centre. Ever remembered by his mother, Susan Glover and his brothers James and Evan, Sudbury, his father Stuart Bergstra and Ann-Marie MacDairmid, Kitchener, and grandparents Wilma and Jim Bergstra, Owen Sound. Beloved nephew of Tish and Bruce Milne of Leith, Dick Both and Mary, Owen Sound, Wilma and Tom Bergstra, Fran Exel and Gary Bergstra of Park Head, and Ray and Marilyn Bergstra of Edmonton, and grandson of the late Ruth and Sterling Glover, Owen Sound. Much loved by cousins in Grey County, Toronto, Ottawa, and Edmonton. Findlay attended Victoria Public School and Division Street United Church, and took his passion for hockey and bagpipes to Toronto, graduating from Western Technical-Commercial School. Findlay was studying journalism at Cambrian College, Sudbury, where he continued to touch the lives of all who met him. Family will receive friends Friday, October 20, from 7 to 9 pm at St. George's Anglican Church, at 1049 4th Avenue East, Owen Sound, Ontario, where a service will be held Saturday at 10:30 am. Interment in the Leith cemetery to follow. Donations to the SickKids Foundation, 525 University Avenue, 14th Floor, Toronto, Ontario. (And may be made by calling BRECKENRIDGE- ASHCROFT FUNERAL HOME 519-376- 2326).
