Jeremy John Forth

FORTH, Jeremy John - Peacefully at home in Wooler, Ontario, on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at the age of 30, with his loving wife and father by his side. Survived by his loving wife Carolyn and their three children, Taylor, Alyssa and Treyvin, his parents Bill and Lynn Forth of Brighton Florist, his brother Jason Forth, his sister Sonya Jensen, his brother-in-law Graham Jensen, his grandmother Evelyn Forth, his father-in-law Bill Smith, his mother-in-law Mary Russell, brother and sisters-in-law Patti and Gary Burton, Christine and Craig, Karen and Jason Smith, David and Susan Russell and James Russell. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles and many loving friends, Jeremy will be joining family already past, grandparents late Mary and John Allen, John Forth and aunt Margaret Salituro. The family will receive friends at the WALAS FUNERAL HOME, 130 Main Street, Brighton on Tuesday from 7-9p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7- 9p.m. Service in the funeral home on Thursday, October 19th at 1 p.m. Cremation. SIMPSON, Eric Nyram - Peacefully at home on Thursday, October 12, 2006 age 78. Loving husband of June (Brant) Simpson. Dear father of Wayne Simpson and his wife Cathy and their children Adam and Hayley of Richmond Hill. Dear father of Steve Simpson of Cramahe and his children Heather, Derek, James, and Stevie Anne and three lovely great grandchildren. Dear father of Fam and her husband Bob Mittelstaedt and their children Morgan, Mitchell and Emily of Aurora. A wonderful and caring family man that will be greatly missed by many. June extends a heartfelt thank you to family, friends, Dr. A. Bowler and staff, The Cancer Centre at KCH, the Campbellford Access Centre, The Homecare Staff of Cobourg, The St. Elizabeth Staff, The Staff at Medigas Hospice of Brighton and the Pharmacy Staff at Zellers in Trenton. Josephine Rose (nee Wilson)

Rose, (nee Wilson) Josephine, passed away at Port Colborne General Hospital on Tuesday, October 17th 2006 in her 89th year. Cherished wife of Don for 66 years. Dearly loved mother of Sandra Gruhl Votary and her husband Randy of Foxboro Ontario, Donna Simmons and her husband David, of Sugar Land, Texas and Alvin Rose and his wife Brenda of North Bay, Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Garett Gruhl and step grandmother of Alexandra Bondett. Predeceased by her sister Leona Arnold and brothers Elwood and Carl Wilson and her son-in-law Gary Gruhl. Josephine was a resident of Welland from birth until 2002. She was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and the church's Evangelical Lutheran Women's group, a volunteer at Welland General Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She gave her time and compassion to many charitable activities. She was happiest at home, caring for her family, working in her garden, reading, sewing and quilting. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, October 20th at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. The Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 57 Griffith Street, Welland on Saturday, October 21st 2006 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jukka Saarinen officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family. BASSI, Enio Joseph

passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Welland County General Hospital (Woolcott Wing) on Thursday, February 2, 2006. Beloved husband of Irene (Hajmasy) for 64 years. He will be forever missed and loved by daughter Beverley Beauparlant (John) and son Ken Bassi (Kathy). Also sadly missed by grandchildren Mark (Chantal), Jennifer (Randy), Ryan (Marla), great grandchildren Tyler and Lauren Beauparlant. He was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Virginia and brother Bruno (Louise).
Enio served time with the Royal Canadian Navy and was employed for 31 years at Plymouth Cordage until closing, and 10 years at CanForge until his retirement.
He was an avid local sports fan and a huge supporter of the Port Colborne Jr. B. Sailors.
Friends may call at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland, on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., where a Vigil will be held at 2:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Community of St. Kevin on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal in Holy Cross cemetery. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Iris will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening and Christmas. Muriel Catherine McArthur - Wing Commander (retired)

MCARTHUR, Muriel Catherine - Wing Commander (retired) - passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 14, 2006 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario. Born in Oro Station on August 31, 1913 to Fanny Kirkpatrick and Alex McArthur. Sister to the late Myra Isabel McArthur and Florence Cavell Campbell (G. Robert Campbell). Beloved aunt to Myrna Juneau, Sandra St. Onge (Murray), Gary Campbell (Jennifer), Wayne Campbell (Norine Cooper). Cherished great aunt to Murray Juneau, Dean Juneau (Nicky), Christopher Juneau (Courtney), Matthew Campbell (Angie Green), Julie St. Onge, Mark St. Onge. Lovingly remembered by nine great -great nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by her many, many dear friends across Canada, who knew her as Mac. Muriel's nursing career began in 1937, when she entered the School of Nursing at The Toronto General Hospital, where she was employed until joining the the RCAF in 1941. Her Air Force Service career took her to Europe twice- to England during the Second World War and to Metz, France where she was the matron of the RCAF's NATO Air Division from September 1954 to September 1957. She was matron of RCAF hospitals at Goose Bay, Nfld, and Rockcliffe, Ontario from 1957 to 1959. In 1958, she became an honourary nursing sister to the queen and was re- appointed for a second term in 1959 where she was presented to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at Government House. In 1961, she was promoted from Squadron Leader to Wing Commander of the Canadian Armed Forces. Muriel was the first woman to attain this rank in Canada. In 1963 she was invested to the Order of the St. John Ambulance by Governor General Vanier at Rideau Hall. This was followed by work on the Surgeon General's staff and the appointment as matron of the Canadian Forces Medical Services. She held this post until her retirement from the Air Force in 1965. Shortly afterwards she moved to Edmonton where she nursed at the University of Alberta until her retirement. In 2002, she was awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award. When she was 86, she decided to move back to Ontario to be with her family. This was a huge move but most beneficial for everyone. The family immediately embraced Muriel from the eldest niece to the youngest great nephew. It was a lovely time together, indeed. A memorial service will be held at Grove Park Home auditorium, 234 Cook Street, Barrie on Saturday October 21 at 2:00 pm. WEBB, Mona - Peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday, October 18th, 2006. Mona Webb of Barrie, in her 84th year. Dear sister of Gladys Mimms of Midhurst. Will always be missed by nephews Robert Mimms, Jim Mimms, Gordon Mimms (Rilla), niece Ruth Mimms and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Mona is predeceased by brother Clifton Webb. Loving mother of Kenneth (Donna Lynn), Gregory (Maureen MacVicar), and Cathy (Graham White). Beloved Nana of Laura and John Kinlin; Erin and Dan Currie, Meaghan and Ceilidh Kinlin; Katie, Heather and Patrick White. Loved sister-in-law of Margaret McMahon, Brockville, Ontario. Loving friend of her long time caregiver Sonja Mullins. Beloved wife of the late J. Frank Kinlin (Ministry of Education). Predeceased by her children Monica Therese and John, her brothers and sisters: Patricia (Ernest) LeSage, Joseph Murphy, Patrick (Rita) Murphy, Monica (Alphonse) LaJoie, Leo (Josephine) Murphy and Larry (Marie) Murphy; her brothers and sisters-in-law: James (Lena/Alice) Kinlin, Msgr. Peter Kinlin, Mary (Austin) Dillon, William (Margaret) Kinlin, Leon McMahon, and Joseph Kinlin. Honoured and loved by her many nieces and nephews, many of whom visited her in her last days. Blessed with many kind friends and caring neighbours. Proud graduate of Tweed High School and Peterborough Normal School, teacher in the Tweed area, and at St. Margaret's School, Toronto. Long time resident of North Toronto and parishioner at St. Margaret's Church for more than 45 years. Sister of Doris and her husband Elmer Rylett of London and Roberta Chandler of Chatham.
