PRIMEAU, Doreen (Dasti) - In loving memory of Doreen (Dasti) Primeau, 76 years, who passed away Tuesday, October 17th, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Center. Beloved wife of Maurice Primeau. Loving mother of Mona. Cherished Nanny of Philip and Kristen. Dear daughter of John and Ernestine Dasti both predeceased. Dear sister of Ida (husband Dr. Rheal Michaud), Marilyn (husband Richard Paquette), predeceased by Dominic. Born in Foleyet, she was a longtime resident of Capreol. Doreen was a dedicated member of the C.W.L. at Our Lady of Peace Parish. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol, Saturday, October 21st, 2006 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Cancer Center would be appreciated. (Friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday).

Mary “Mae“ (nee Short) Salzer

SALZER, Mary “Mae“ (nee Short) - passed away suddenly on October 17, 2006 at the age of 79 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Tony (1987). Loving mother of Joanne and husband John Mancini, Bill and wife Denise Salzer, Linda and husband Tom Chevalier, Don Salzer, Tracey Salzer and fiance Alan Brown. Cherished “Grandma Mae“ of Jeff, Jay and Jennifer Mancini, Debbie, Gary and Karen Salzer, Todd and wife Sarah Chevalier and Dean Chevalier. Predeceased by grandsons Brian and Robert Salzer. Dear sister of Bill Short and wife Colette, John Short and wife Joan. Dear sister-in-law of John and Joe Salzer, Taffie Salzer-Glass and Pat Bennett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mae enjoyed her retirement years playing cards, darts and bowling. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor, Ontario (519-253-7234) on Thursday, October 19, 2006 from 2 to 5 and 6:45 to 9 p.m. Prayers Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Thomas the Apostle Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest cemetery. Son of the late Oswald Morand and Ella Morand. Son-in-Law to Marie Deehan and the late Earl Gascoe. Brother-in-Law to Maurice Gascoe. Bob was a employee of General Motors Transmission, a former president of the Riverside Minor Hockey Association where he coached for many years, and an active member of the United Way. Resting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service Monday April 24, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. Beloved wife of Renée Courville (born St- Pierre). Dear father to Robert (Tina) of Montréal, Québec. Loving son of the late René Courville and Thérèse Gamache. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Claudette, Joanne (Bob), Ginette (Alain) and Carole (Arthur) all from Timmins. Mr Courville is predeceased by his sister Micheline Courville and will also be sadly missed by his friends André Jadot (Hélène) and Roger DuMoulin (Thérèse). Mr Courville was known for his love of antique automobiles and loved to go ‘'Four – Wheeling". A Private Service for family only will be held at the Transfiguration Church in Cochrane, Ontario. Rev. Eve (Née Grant) Lucas

LUCAS, EVE (Née Grant) - May 20, 1923-October 16, 2006 - A time to be born and a time to die. To every season there is a reason and a time for every purpose under Heaven. On October 16th with her daughters by her side Eve passed away peacefully at Timmins and District Hospital. She is survived by her daughters Mickey (Doug) Thompson of Edmonton and Lorraine (Larry) Wiwchar of Cobalt; her grandchildren David (Pam) Wiwchar, Andrea (Lloyd) Thompson-Dick, Tandice Wiwchar, Aaron (Briana) Thompson, Daryl (Susan) Thompson; and her great- grandchildren Katie (11), Tommy (8), Beth (5), Amber (3) Wiwchar and Wynne (8), James (6), Eamon (15 mos), and William (2 weeks) Thompson. Eve is also survived by her brother Ralph Grant of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband William Charles Lucas 26 December 1973. Eve was a resident of Timmins since 1961 and has lived at the Georgian Residence of Timmins for the past 2 years. A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, Eve's kind spirit was felt by all those who knew and loved her. Her song will be missed, but now she sings for a greater audience. The family gratefully acknowledges the physicians and nurses in Medical Two for their professional and attentive care. A private family funeral service has taken place at the MIRON WILSON FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donation to the Canadian Lung Association or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

ASZBACH, Mr. Bradly Edward - Suddenly in Calgary, Alberta on October 9th 2006 Brad Aszbach in his 44th year. Beloved son of John and Vivian (Biggs) Aszbach and dear brother of Cheryl Zyma and her daughter Danielle all of Welland. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill, on Friday, October 20th at 10:00 AM. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Niagara Victim Crisis Support Services. COSBY, Donald - Peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday October 17, 2006 at the Woolcott Wing of the Niagara Health System, Welland Site. In his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Anna (nee: Gobbi) for more than 51 years. Loving Father of Karen (Dwaine) Lombarczki, and Lisa Cosby all of Welland. Predeceased by his parents Murray and Vera Cosby, and Brother Allan Cosby. Survived by brothers Bruce Cosby of St. Catharines, Walter Cosby of British Columbia and Elgin Cosby of Wellandport, sisters Muriel Empey of Mississauga, Shirley (Lester) Culp of Ridgeway, Isabel Millward of St. Catharines, Bonnie (James) Roynon of Ridgeway, Sisters in Law Lousia Cicuto of Toronto and Maxine (John) Pastirik of Welland. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Don worked for the CN Railway for 45 years, retiring in 1985 and was a veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve and was ranked as a Signal Man. DAVIDSON WALKER FUNERAL HOME; 152 Hellems Ave., Welland; have been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Cosby. Friends may call on Thursday October 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Private Family service will be held at a later date. Cherished grandfather of Chearie Bettinelli of Barrie, Shawn Sweeney and his wife Susan of Georgetown, and Chantelle Lee of Alcona. Proud great-grandpa of Dallas, Hunter, and Cailyn. Dear brother of Muriel Penton, Verdun Fisk and the late Edith Nicholl, and Charles, Kenneth, Gerald, Bruce and Maxwell Fisk. Predeceased by brothers Doug, George, Barney, and Roy. Will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Shirley McCabe

McCABE, Shirley - passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her family on October 17th, 2006 at Leisureworld Long - Term Care Facility in her 82nd year. Daughter of the late John and Marguerite McCabe. Loving sister to her late brothers Terry and Jack McCabe of Belleville, and survived by her beloved sisters (“the girls“), Joan Freedman (the late Bill) of Toronto, Beverley Seemungal (Frank) of Belleville, Barbara Colantonio of Collingwood and Patricia Byers (the late Ross) of Richmond Hill. Will be sadly missed by her 19 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews. Shirley had a long and rewarding career with Ingram and Bell in Toronto and was an active member of the Central Ontario Drama League. Family and friends are invited to visit at the YORK VISITATION CHAPEL AND RECEPTION CENTRE ( 160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto, 416-221-3404 ) on Saturday October 21st, 2006 from 1 pm to 2 pm. Bob will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and many friends far and wide. Predeceased by parents Murray and Cora (Hill) Smith, sister Delores and brother Billy. Bob retired from and was an honorary member of the Iron Workers Local 401 Philadelphia, PA. Resting at his home, 699 Mohawk Road, after 2 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday then to STYRES FUNERAL HOME, Ohsweken for visitation after 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service and Burial will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Six Nations on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. Evening Prayers 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Loving mother and grandmother of David of Hamilton and his son Benjamin; Gary of Brampton and his sons Jeffrey and Michael; Nancy and her husband Leon of Mississauga and their sons Kevin, Brian and Stephen; Brian of Keswick; Kevin of Brantford; and Kathleen and her husband Tim of Rockwood. Much loved sister of Lorraine Clifford of Brantford, Jim Freeman of Mississauga and Madeleine Purdy of Wasaga Beach and sister-in-law of Doug Wills and his wife Fran of Turkey Point, Betty Richards of Gibson's Landing of B.C. and Bob Wills of Brantford. She will also be sadly missed by 19 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Lamb, and Mary Thomlison, brothers-in-law Daniel Saunders, Shanty Clifford, Earl Lamb and Don Purdy, her sister-in-law Margaret Freeman and two nephews Bob Saunders and Lorne Purdy. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave., on Sunday from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil's Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace St. on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Katha in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
