LUCAS, EVE (Née Grant) - May 20, 1923-October 16, 2006 - A time to be born and a time to die. To every season there is a reason and a time for every purpose under Heaven. On October 16th with her daughters by her side Eve passed away peacefully at Timmins and District Hospital. She is survived by her daughters Mickey (Doug) Thompson of Edmonton and Lorraine (Larry) Wiwchar of Cobalt; her grandchildren David (Pam) Wiwchar, Andrea (Lloyd) Thompson-Dick, Tandice Wiwchar, Aaron (Briana) Thompson, Daryl (Susan) Thompson; and her great- grandchildren Katie (11), Tommy (8), Beth (5), Amber (3) Wiwchar and Wynne (8), James (6), Eamon (15 mos), and William (2 weeks) Thompson. Eve is also survived by her brother Ralph Grant of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband William Charles Lucas 26 December 1973. Eve was a resident of Timmins since 1961 and has lived at the Georgian Residence of Timmins for the past 2 years. A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, Eve's kind spirit was felt by all those who knew and loved her. Her song will be missed, but now she sings for a greater audience. The family gratefully acknowledges the physicians and nurses in Medical Two for their professional and attentive care. Will be sadly missed by her 19 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews. Shirley had a long and rewarding career with Ingram and Bell in Toronto and was an active member of the Central Ontario Drama League.
