BEATH, Loretta Jean - passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at her home on Monday, October 16, 2006 at age 60. Loretta, beloved wife of Doug for 37 years. Devoted mother and best friend of Hilary Kaplinski and her husband John, and Alex and his fiancée Johanna. Survived by dear sisters Helen Gilliland, Grace Marsh and Kathleen Morgan, all of New Zealand. Loretta was an avid reader, writer, gardener, globetrotter and teacher. A Memorial Service will be held at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 3:00 pm. The Reverend Donovan Brown will officiate. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children (Oncology Department).

Dear grandmother of Jackie Irwin (Ed), Jane Taylor, Michael Hepburn, Marianne Mawson, Sarah Hewitt (Andrew), David Mawson (Claire) and Iain Mawson (Liane) and great-grandmother of Abbey, Liam, Thomas, Joel, Phoebe, Angus and Isla. Memorial Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Pine Street North, Port Hope, Saturday 11am. If desired, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to the Port Hope & District Hospital Foundation.

Paul Lean beloved husband of Joan Ferguson. Son of the late Walton and Olive Lean. Loving father of Patti and her husband Allan May and Rick and his wife Lauralyn. Loving grandfather of Olivia and Alicia Lean and Jason and Diana May. Son- in-law of Golda Ferguson. Brother of Perry, Edgar and his wife Eleanor, Brenda and her husband Ed Hickey. BOYD, Aileen (Prout) - Suddenly while sleeping at her residence Main St. N. Forest Aileen (Prout) Boyd loving wife of the late Robert (Butch) Boyd (2000). Loving mother of Rusty - Sarnia, Gary - Parkhill, Jim - Forest, and Lisa (Aron) Bell - Camlachie. Predeceased by her sister Margaret Anderson aged 70 years. Resting at RONN E. DODGE FUNERAL HOME, McFarlane Chapel 9 James St. S. Forest. Public visitation Friday October 20 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A private family service with Rev. Cathy Larmond on Saturday morning, October 21, 2006. Interment Beechwood cemetery. Donations to Diabetes Association appreciated by the family (cheques only received at the funeral home). A memorial tree will be planted in memory of Aileen by the Dodge family.

Daniel (Don) Isaac Finn

FINN, Daniel (Don) Isaac - passed away peacefully with three generations of his family by his side on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Afton Park Place, at the age of 83. Predeceased by his loving wife and “great lady“ of 52 years, Mary in 1995. Much beloved and honoured by his one and only son, Bryan and his wife Pat, of Sarnia. Doting and forever proud grandfather of his “two favourite girls“ Dawn (Brad) of Kanata and Cara (John) of Strathroy. Especially cherished great-grandfather of his new baby girl Jaiden. A proud veteran of WWII, Daniel served in many capacities and held various positions throughout Southern Ontario before retiring from a career in Instrumentation with Dome Petroleum (B.P.) in Sarnia in 1978. An active Union representative and minor hockey association coach, Daniel also served as a volunteer for St. Benedict's Parish for many decades and was well known for his eternal sense of humour and his love for children and animals alike. Predeceased by his beloved grandmother “Mum“, Alma Finn and brother and sister-in-law George and Irene Herron. Survived by his sister-in-law Sr. Anne Herringer, nieces Frances Bisnette and Georgina Marks and family. Lovingly remembered by extended family, the O'Donnell's and Beckwith's of Cambridge and Oakville. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, (519-344-3131) on Thursday, October 19, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Rick Janisse at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Ave., Sarnia on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy cemetery. Rita Deloras (Wilson) Keefe

KEEFE, Rita Deloras (Wilson) - of Sarnia, died peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 90 at Bluewater Health Mitton St. Site on Tuesday, October 17th, 2006. Rita was the beloved wife of the late John Richard (1995). She was the loved mother of John (Jack) and his wife Toni of Sarnia, and loved mother of the late Terry (2000), and mother- in-law of Joanne Walker-Keefe of Cornwall. Dear grandmother to Steven (& Kim) of Whitecourt, Alberta, David (& Carrie) of Vancouver, B.C., Matthew of Windsor, Erin (Luis DaSilva) of Sarnia, and Carley of Cornwall, and proud great-grandmother of Tyler and Dawson Keefe, Isabella DaSilva and Ryleigh Keefe-DeBie. At Rita's request there will be a private memorial service at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, followed by cremation. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at Lakeview cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charity of your choice.

Josephine (Post) Densmore

DENSMORE, Josephine (Post) - This most gracious lady died peacefully at Niagara Arms on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in her 91st year. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Maurice, (1996) her parents Isabelle Post Hardinge (1988) and Warren Post (1917), her brother Robert (1951), her brother Earl Post (1973), sister-in-law Margaret Post and her sister Helen Buchanan on Oct 4, 2006. Josephine is survived by her devoted sister Joan (John) Hartley, and her brother-in-law Clifford Densmore who just celebrated his 100th birthday. Lovingly remembered by many cherished nieces and nephews. Josephine was a wonderful wife, sister, aunt and friend who lived a happy life married to Maurice Densmore, enjoying many years at their cottage in Magnetawan and winters in Florida. She was a supporter of Memorial United Church and loved to play cards, garden and bake. Josephine was kind, generous and caring. We shall miss her dearly. Cremation has taken place. Her memorial service will be at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond St. S. Thorold, on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial United Church, 105 Maple Street, St. Catharines and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Donald F. Hillier

HILLIER, Donald F. - Peacefully at Extendicare on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in his 73rd year. Survived by his children, daughter, Nadine (Kevin) Judd of Bancroft, ON, son, Richard of St. Catharines, sisters, Eleanor Patton and Sharon (Denis) Mezzavilla. Grandchildren, Amy and Erica Judd, Abra and Aurora Hillier, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Steven (1977), his parents, Alfred and Edna Hillier and brother Wayne. Don was a retiree of General Motors (1984). Visitation will take place Thursday, October 19th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm with service to be held Friday, October 20th at 11:00 am in the Chapel of PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (39 Court Street, St. Catharines. 905-685-6584.) Cremation to follow with inurnment to take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens at a later date. Special thanks to the caring staff at Extendicare and Dr. J. Luce. If so desired, donations can be made to the St. Catharines General Hospital future building fund, or Schizophrenia Society.

Ralph John Amirault

AMIRAULT, Ralph John - In loving memory of Ralph John Amirault, 67 years, who passed away Tuesday, October 17th, 2006 at Sudbury. Born November 2, 1938 in Doucetteville, N.S., son of the late Emile and Annie Amirault. He is survived by his wife Reta (Dugas) Amirault; children John (Nicole) and Elizabeth (Paul); step children Robert Dugas (Pam), Richard Dugas and Brenda Byrnes (Mark); grandchildren Shane and Joshua Amirault; step grandchildren Ian and Katherine Dugas; sister Clara Wagner (Fred); nieces Lori Wagner, Karen Wagner and Cindy Dufour; nephew Mark Wagner. He was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth “Betty“ (King) Amirault and stepson Brian Dugas. Ralph was an active member of the Chelmsford Lion's Club for several years, as well as a respected business owner in the local community. Memorial Visitation in the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Saturday, October 21st, 2006 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by a celebration of Ralph's life. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Beloved husband for 61 years of Cécile (Loiselle) Demers of Lively. Loving father of Pierre (wife Judith) of Paris, Ontario, Michel (wife Lynn) of Lively, Carole (husband Richard Geroux) of Sault Ste. Marie and Anne (husband Emilio Cecchetto) of Falconbridge. Cherished grandfather of Derek, Randal (fiancee Kelly), Tanya (husband Mike), Aimée (husband Rob), Christian, Marett (husband Forest), David, Aaron, Adam (wife Melanie) and Matthew and 1 great grandchild Sylvie. Dear son of the late Damas and Rose-Anne (née Lemery) Demers both predeceased. Dear brother of Gerard (wife Aurore) of Windsor, Germain (wife Claire) of Gatineau, (1st wife Fleurette predeceased). Remi (wife Suzanne) of Gatineau, Agathe (husband Maurice Raby) of Thurso, Marie- Marthe Boileau (husband Noel predeceased) of Thurso, Rachele (husband Raymond Bertrand) of Montreal, Rejeanne predeceased and Lionel predeceased (wife Jeanne of Ottawa). Born in Notre Dame du Laus, Quebec, he married Cécile in Sudbury in 1946. A miner with Inco, he retired in 1982 with 40 years of service. Alderic served with the Army Infantry during WWII, was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, 3909 Lively, and a member of the Inco 1/4 Century Club. An avid curler, he also enjoyed being a School-guard and a tour guide with Science North. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Pius X Church, Lively Friday, October 20th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. LECLAIR, Beatrice Marie - Of Espanola passed away at her residence on Wednesday October 18, 2006 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Delphis Leclair and the late Ernest Arbour. Dear daughter of the late Octave and Rosa (Mathias) Gauthier and stepdaughter to Anna Gauthier of Sturgeon Falls. Loving mother of George Leclair (wife Sue) of St. Catharines, Lucienne Forbeck (fiancé Ron) of Thorold, Mainville Leclair (predeceased fiancée Marilyn) of Texada Island B.C., John- Charles Leclair, Denis Leclair (wife Carole), Carole Trottier (husband Robert) all of Espanola, Paulette Skinner of Sault Ste. Marie, Suzanne Mayer (fiancé Dennis) of Sudbury, Ronald Leclair (friend Glenda) of Elliot Lake and Lorraine Levesque (husband Gilles) of St. Charles and stepmother to Ron Arbour (wife Laurie), Don Arbour (wife Liz) and Sandra Swain (predeceased husband Lorne) all of Espanola. Will be sadly missed by 29 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 5 great great granchildren.Dear sister of Albert Gauthier (friend Rhea) of St. Charles, Marcel Gauthier (wife Esthelle) of Val Caron, Andre Gauthier (wife Adrianna) of Westree, Emilien Gauthier (Wife Antoinette) of Elliot Lake, Bernadette Pomerleau (husband Wilfred) and Laurette Guy (predeceased husband Leon) both of Coniston, Marie- Rose of Markstay, Emily Dakin and George Gauthier both of West Bay and predeceased by Lionel Gauthier (surviving spouse Sue) of Noelville. Beatrice was a life member of the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion Br. 39 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Federation des femmes - Canadiennes Francaise. Resting at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME Espanola on Friday October 20, 2006 from 2 - 4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday October 21, 2006 at 10 AM at St. Lawrence R.C. Church Webbwood with Father Terry Fournier officiating. Interment Espanola cemetery. LEFEBVRE, Maurice - In loving memory of Maurice Lefebvre, 60 years, who passed away at St. Joseph's Health Centre on Wednesday, October 18th, 2006. Maurice was born in Noelville on April 12th, 1946 and later moved to the Sudbury area. He had worked at Sears as a salesclerk for approximately 20 years. Some of his favourite pastimes were fishing, camping and listening to music. He will be missed by all who knew him. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Smith) of Sudbury. Loving father of Mark (wife Geraldine) of Sudbury and Stacey Nicolson (husband Phil) of New Zealand. Cherished grandfather of Hayden, Maddison, Landon, Brydon and Cole. Dear son of Margaret Lefebvre of Sudbury. Loving brother of André (wife Louise) of Coniston, Marcel (wife Carol) of Hanmer, Thérèse Chauvin, Lorraine Brunette and Julie Donaldson, all of Sudbury. McAVANY, Harold Leonard “Mac“ - In loving memory of Harold Leonard “Mac“ McAvany 96 years who passed away Tuesday, October 17th, 2006 at the Espanola Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Bertha (Legault) McAvany predeceased. Loving father of June (husband Gary Elliott) of Espanola, Eileen (husband Ray O'Neil) of Ottawa, predeceased by Margaret, Gary and Lee. Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Chaplain Jack and George both predeceased. Mac was born in Saskatchewan, he served as a tail gunner with the Air Force in WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 76, Sudbury. He was a miner at t INCO for over 25 years. Mac was very active in the church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Funeral Mass in Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Ave, Friday, October 20th, 2006 at 1pm. Interment in the Civic cemetery. Memorial service 7:45pm Thursday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76, Sudbury. Donations to Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Fund or Espanola Hospital would be appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held at The Chapel of The Rideau Regional Centre in Smith Falls on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Her final resting place will be at the Park Lawn cemetery in Sudbury on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. We know Katie is walking, running and laughing with the Angels.
