Garczarek, Peter

Peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 4th, 2001 at the age of 59, Peter (German Pete) Garczarek of the 8th of Bruce, Bruce Township. Husband and best friend of the former Shirley Walter. He is also survived by his sister Margrit Bocheinski and her son Boris, his brother Lothar, all of Germany, mother-in-law Florence, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken and Sharon, Don and Janet, Harvey and Karen, Kathy and Doug Kocher, Brenda and Steve Strader, Marilyn and Blair Engel, Diane and Jim Diebel and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Adolph and Elli, his father-in-law Clayton, and his brothers-in-law David Walter and Klaus Bocheinski.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Port Elgin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Robert Hudson officiating.

Interment Walkerton cemetery.

Scott, Beatrice

Suddenly at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Thursday, March 01, 2001, in her 94th year, Beatrice Scott of Port Elgin. Dear sister of Jean M. Scott of Port Elgin. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Alan Scott and his wife Dianne of Toronto, Marilyn Scott of Port Elgin, Margaret and her husband Garth Hunt of Campbellville and John Scott and his wife Josie of Pakenham, Ontario. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Fraser.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral service will be conducted in Tolmie Presbyterian Church on Monday, at 11.00 a.m. with Rev. Julia Morden officiating.

Suddenly in Lindsay, Ontario, on Monday, February 26th, 2001 in his 39th year, Johnny Macnab of Lindsay and formerly of Port Elgin. Dear son of Beryl Macnab of Port Elgin. Loving brother of Betty and her husband Bob Gilmour of Southampton, Margie and her husband Al Siddall of Owen Sound, David and Laura of Allenford, Carol and her husband Howard Matz, and Dale and her husband Dave Finnie, all of Port Elgin. He will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Richard (Dick) Macnab.

Barber, Glen Alexander

At the Grey-Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Saturday, February 24th, 2001, in his 73rd year, Glen Barber of Port Elgin. Husband of the former Eleanor Scott, father of Joanne Williams, and Carla and her husband Michael Rourke all of Port Elgin, Grandpa of Theresa and Nicholas Williams, and Lindsay and Micayla Rourke. Brother of Raymond Barber and his wife Beatrice of Agincourt, and Shirley Marnoch of Southampton. Brother-in-law of Mary Chan of Agincourt. Glen is predeceased by his brothers Lawrence and Kenneth Barber, by his sister Vivian Hill, and by his son-in-law Paul Williams. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews

Funeral service will be conducted in the Port Elgin United Church, 848 Bruce Street, Port Elgin on Thursday at 11am, which the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating. Visitation will be held in the church from 10am until service time. A reception will be held immediately following in the Family Activity Centre of the church

Interment Sanctuary Park cemetery , Port Elgin

At his residence in Port Elgin on Friday, February 23rd, 2001 in his 82nd year, Bill Campbell. Husband of the former Jean Fenton, father of David, Joanne and Nancy, and grandfather of Ryan, Meghan, and Elspeth Campbell, and Gordon Ballantyne, and Iain Mundy. Survived also by his brother Bob Campbell of Toronto, and Jean Vennard of Port Elgin.

Dear father of Jack and his wife Stephanie, Michael and his wife Jackie, and Susan and her husband Chris Wentworth, all of Port Elgin. Grandfather of Emily and William Kelly, Jordan and Braden Kelly, and Kaitlyn and Joseph Wentworth. Brother of Charles Kelly and Patricia Moretti, both of Chicago. He is predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth.

Suddenly on Monday, February 19th, 2001, at the age of 80, Joan Hatton of Port Elgin, formerly of Durham and Toronto. Wife of the late Herbert Hatton. Dear mother of Bert and his wife Marilyn of Port Elgin. Grandmother of Derek and his wife Kim of Lucan and Kerry Hatton of Vancouver. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Kara and Shauna. She is predeceased by her brother William and by her good friend Gord MacDonald. She will be missed by Gord’s family, Rick MacDonald and Gary MacDonald and their families

Suddenly in London, on Saturday, February 17th, 2001, in her 59th year, the former Joan Mayville, beloved wife of Jim Allen of Port Elgin, loving mother of Debbie Archer, Patty Underwood and Kevin Gruberbauer, and Michael Allen, all of Port Elgin. Special Nanny to David, Joshua and Sarah Archer, Jenna, Kyle and Deanna Underwood. Sister of Barb Levack and her husband Paul of Amherstburg, Jim Mayville and his wife Marilyn of Kingsville, and Bob Mayville and his wife Barb of Amherstburg. Predeceased by one son Mark Anthony in 1965. She will be especially missed by her dog Frisky.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton on Monday, February 19th, 2001, at the age of 69 years, Sonny Pilon of Southampton. Husband of the former Shirley Burke. He will be sadly missed by his children Rick and his wife Fay Roote of Southampton, Linda and her husband Marvin Doran of Ottawa, Patti Sue and her husband Jim Shrider of Port Elgin, Kathy and her husband Doug Mahon of Southampton, and Mike and his wife Janet of Rondeau. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother of David and his wife Shirley of Port Lambton and Robert and his wife Pat of Listowel.

Bushnell, Carol

Suddenly at Grey-Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Saturday, February 4th, 2001. She is survived by her loving husband Peter Bushnell of Port Elgin and her children Stephen Redgwell and his wife Tammy of New Lowell, Helen (Redgwell) and her husband Mark Hall of Kitchener, Adrian Bushnell and his wife Tracy, and Julian Bushnell, all of England.

Carol was a loving grandmother to Carol, Terry and Brian Redgwell of New Lowell, Andrea, Suzanne and Ted Hall of Kitchener, and Lee and Anthony Bushnell of England. She is survived by her brothers Harry, Glyn, and Michael, and a sister Barbara, all of England.

Friends are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance for Carol at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Thursday, February 8th, at 11am, with the Rev. Margaret Greenhow officiating.
