In Owen Sound, on Friday, September 21st, 2001 in his 81st year, Frederick Arnold Stow of Southampton. Beloved husband and best friend of the former Dorothy Joyce Reinhart.
Veteran of WW II (Grey and Simcoe Foresters) and a graduate of Sandhurst Military College, England. Also survived by a dearly loved family, son Rick and his wife Cynthia of New Liskeard; daughter Nancy Stow of Toronto; grandchildren, Tiffany Stow and her partner Michael Gore of New Liskeard, Twyla Stow of Ottawa, Stefan Pohl of Toronto; two great-grandsons, Winter and Noble Stow-Gore. Also survived by brother Edwin and his wife Jean of Nepean, and many cherished friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his parents Edwin A.G. and Mabel (Ducker) Stow, and by his sister May Johnson.
At the request of the deceased, and in thankfulness for life, the body has been sent to a Medical Research Centre. Fred was an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Canada for 33 years. A Memorial and Thanksgiving for Life Service will be celebrated in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Southampton, on Saturday, October 27th, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Wild officiating. Suddenly at London Health Services Centre, South Street Campus, London, on Thursday, October 18th 2001, at the age of 58, Cam Fraser of Underwood. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, the former Paula Ann DeMers, his children, David McGregor and his wife Merriam of Kingston, Craig Alexander and his wife Marie, Laura Elizabeth and her spouse Craig Hunt all of London. His grandchildren Adam McGregor Fraser, Samuel Isaac Fraser, Joshua James Fraser, Karla Paula Alvarado, Erick Alexander Alvarado, Jayden Cameron Hunt and Sylina Paula Fraser. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Thomas Robinson of Brandon, Robert DeMers and his wife Susan, Gary DeMers and his wife Patricia all of Toronto, Albert DeMers and his wife Chris of Illinois, Donald and his wife Trudy of Windsor, Roland and his wife Sharon of Strathroy and Larry and his wife Gail of Woodstock, sisters-in-law June Sinclair and Elaine Hussey both of Windsor, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cam was born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 23, 1943 to Thomas McGregor and Jane Fraser. He is predeceased by his first wife the former Lynda Finch Fraser, brother James Fraser, sister Reta Campbell Robinson, and sister-in-law Joan Fraser. He immigrated to Canada in 1947. Cam recently retired from Ontario Hydro. His corneas were donated so that the gift of sight could be enjoyed again through his eyes. He loved the outdoors, camping, shooting sports and most of all his family and friends. We will all keep his memory alive and will always miss him.
