Beloved son of Gary Cole and Elaine (Rounpoint) Cole and birth son of Sharon (Jacobs) Nolan and Edward Herne. Dear brother of Troy and Calvin Square (Bobbie) of Akwesasne, Morgan Jacobs of Oka, Marley Jacobs (Niiohontesha) and Chatnie Herne both of Akwesasne. Predeceased by one sister, Marcia Herne. Dear grandson of Ella (Oakes) Cole and the late Tony Cole, the late Yvette (Seymour) Roundpoint and the late Ronald Roundpoint. Resting at his residence, 177 Island Road, Akwesasne from 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral Wednesday, October 25, 2006 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Regis Church, St. Regis at 2 p.m. followed by cremation. GAYLOR, Dorothy “Dot“ - Born November 6th, 1917. Beloved wife and best friend of Arthur “Banty“ Gaylor for 66 years, deceased June 20th, 2006. Predeceased by her parents Kathleen and Irvin Berg, her youngest sister Shirley Morningstar, brothers-in-law Fletcher Smith, Ross Morningstar and niece Sheryl Morningstar Murphy. Survived by her sister Marjorie Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was a past member of Lookout Golf and Country Club and a volunteer in many organizations. She was loved by all who knew her. Our heartfelt thanks to the caring Staff at Extendicare. The family will receive friends at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 23rd at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Paul Edward Joseph Fitzgerald

FITZGERALD, Paul Edward Joseph - passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2006 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre Palliative Care, in his 61st year, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy Gilbert) Fitzgerald and three children Andre, Myra, Amy (husband Greg) and darling grandson Isaac. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary Fitzgerald. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law, Helen Gilbert, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9. Parish prayers on Sunday at 1:45 p.m. A mass of the resurrection will be held at ST. ANNE'S CHURCH on Monday, October 23rd at 1 p.m. At the request of Paul a private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Beverley Jeanne (nee Pringle) Gray

GRAY, Beverley Jeanne (nee Pringle) - On Monday October 16, 2006, our selfless and much loved matriarch died from cancer at the Ottawa General Hospital, in her 79th year. Many will remember how Beverley's remarkable personality complimented that of her husband, George A. Gray, who predeceased her in 1999. Adored best friend of her daughter Cynthia Jayne and her husband Allan Sloan. Our mother's loss is acutely felt by her devoted son Douglas Andrew and his wife Katherine. Much loved aunt to her third child Mike Matthews and his wife Linda. Extraordinary grandmother to Tory and Michael Sloan and Claire and Emily Gray. Beverley's elegant style, grace and very dry wit will also be missed by her many relatives and friends. Beverley's memory will be honoured at a private family service. Friends are invited to “Share a Sipper“ on Sunday October 22nd, 2006 at the Peterborough Golf and County Club on Armour Rd. from 1-4 PM. STACKNICK, Richard Peter (Rick) - Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital, on Thursday, October 19, 2006, with his family at his side, Rick Stacknick, in his 55th year, beloved husband and best friend of Victoria (Tinkess), cherished father of Peter Ronald Stacknick, and dear brother of Connie (Allen) Poirier and Lorraine (John) Krupper. Predeceased by parents Pearl and Peter Stacknick. Dear son-in-law of Ronald and Patricia Tinkess, and brother-in-law of Terry Tinkness, Glenda (Ray) Guindon and Julie (Warren) VanLuven. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Robert J. BANGMA, Pietronella (Nellie) - Entered into the Kingdom of Heaven, at the Trillium Ridge Retirement Centre, Kingston, on Friday, October 6th, 2006. Pietronella (Schraa) Bangma at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Peke Bangma. Loving mother of Ken (Gloria), Grietje (John Feenstra), Wiesje (Arnold Stadig), Geesje (Rick Vander Woude), Henry (Lesley), Henny (Harold Feenstra), Fred (Dianna), Bill (Elaine), Pete (Kris), Jeff (Ellen), Rod (Sharrol), and Pamela Lewis. Fondly remembered by 32 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter Geesje, two brothers Fedde and Jan Schraa. A private funeral service was held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville (613-342- 2828) followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. Norma Edith (Bloom) Actress Edwards

EDWARDS, Norma Edith (Bloom): Actress - Suddenly on October 16, 2006 at Kingston General Hospital at the age of 79 years, after 10 weeks of gradual recovery from extensive spinal surgery at Toronto Western Hospital. Norma was married for 57 years to Dr. Martin H. Edwards, and greatly loved and admired by him. She was the dear and beloved mother of David and Barbara (Jeffrey) and grandmother of John and Linda Canton. Norma was a talented amateur and then professional actress on stage, in film and on television. She played major stage roles at the University of British Columbia, Stanford University, as well as with the Domino Theatre and the Kinsmen shows in Kingston. In 1977, Norma began a professional acting career with her one- woman show ‘The Women of Margaret Laurence' which played across Canada, in Australia, Scandinavia, the U.K. and the USA. After cancer forced her retirement from acting at the age of 74 she spent her remaining years giving joy to, and receiving joy, from her family and friends. A celebration of her life will take place at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME (1900 JOHN COUNTER BLVD, KINGSTON) on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Domino Theatre. Dear sister of the late Jim, Fred, Jack, Frank, Ken, Pheme, Emma and Blanche. Also sadly missed by sisters- in-law Eunice and Audrey Williams, many nieces, nephews and her special bingo buddies.
