and Don Dewitt of Manitoba, Jeff and Jane VanLeeuwen of
Manitoba, Ken and Lyn VanLeeuwen of Guelph, John and
Barb VanLeeuwen of Alberta and Emily and Albert
Breukelman of Vineland. Dearly loved Oma of 31
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Loving sister of
Theresa Reitsma, Linda and Pete Oosterhoff, John and
Joanne DeBoer, Gertie Vanderheiden, Konnie and Ann
DeBoer, Diane DeBoer, Les Van Egmond, Gerry and Nellie
DeBoer, Betty and Simon Breukelman, and Alice and Peter
Lof. Predeceased by her mother Loltje DeBoer (1973),
father Jitze DeBoer (1978), sister Trijnte DeBoer (1926),
brother Melle DeBoer (1983), brothers-in-law Thomas
Reitsma (1996) and Nick Vanderheiden (2004), and sister
Ann Van Egmond (2005). The funeral service will be held
today (Wednesday, December 21, 2005) at 10 am at the
Canadian Reformed Church of Smithville, 330 Station

home Jan (John) De Groot of Smithville on Thursday, May
5, 2005 at the War Memorial Hospital in Dunnville. Beloved
husband of Susan De Groot (nee Roorda). Loving father of
Evelyn and Jeff Duck and of Harry De Groot. Cherished
Opa of Melissa, Amanda, Sarah, Caitlyn, and Mikayla.
John will also be missed by his sisters and brothers-in-law
Corrie and Tony Dykzhoorn and Alice and Aurthor vander
Beek. Predeceased by his parents Arie (1987) and

Lord and Saviour on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at West Lincoln
Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, Harm de Jonge of Smithville,
in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Margje (Mary)
de Jonge (nee Kruid). Loving father of Henry and Rika de
Jonge, Elsina and Dick Moes, Case and Trudy de Jonge,

Caistor Centre on Friday, September 30, 2005, John (Jack)
Francis Fawcett in his 54th year. Beloved husband of
Pauline Fawcett (nee Turek). Devoted father of Adam
(Beth), Brendan (Danielle) and Sara (Aaron). Special new
grandpa to Matthew. Loving brother of Bill (Cathy), Cindy
(Rick) and brother-in-law of Ed (Adele) and Ernie (Freda).
Jack will also be sadly missed by his many nieces and
nephews, by his special companion "Domi", and by his

also be missed by her nephew Charlie Olden and niece
Dorothy Waller, both of Burlington, and sister Rhea of The

GREEN, FRANK: Peacefully, at Henderson General
Hospital in Hamilton on Sunday, January 2, 2005, Frank
Albert Green of Smithville, in his 70th year. Beloved
husband and best friend of his wife of 47 years, Dianne (nee
Lockie). Dearly loved father of Debbie and Brent Simpson of
Smithville and of Steven and Diane Green of Beamsville.
Cherished grandfather of Jeremy and Krista Simpson and
Simon and Megan Green. Dear brother of Edna Smith (and
the late Leslie) of Caistor, Ada and Don Urquhart and
Frances Kinney of Smithville, and brother-in-law of Jean
(and the late Gerry) Bracey, Jim and Gail Lockie (and the
late Shirley Lockie), Gloria (and the late Bob) Lockie, Trish
(and the late John) Lockie. Predeceased by his father
Frank and his mother Ethel. Frank will also be missed by
many nieces and nephews and by his many friends. The
Masonic Service was held by Coronation Lodge No. 502 and
the West Lincoln Fire Department Memorial Tribute was held
at the funeral home on Tuesday evening. Rev. Dale
Massender led the Funeral Service on Wednesday, January
5, 2005 at 11 am at the Smithville United Church. Eunice
Lung was the organist. The eulogy was delivered by Frank's
lifetime friend, Bill Shrum, and his son-in-law Brent Simpson.
Interment at the church's adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers
were Ron Hunter, Jim Sheldrake, Mike Hornak, Tom Wills,
Cecil Leppert and Alan Joyner. Flower bearers were Jeremy
Simpson, Krista Simpson and Simon Green. Memorial
contributions to the Smithville United Church or the
Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated
