Gavin Fletcher

FLETCHER, Gavin J (Jan. 3, 1967- Dec. 11,2006) passed away suddenly at the age of 39 on Dec. 11th. Gavin is survived by his loving wife Natalie (nee Dallago) of 18 years. He leaves his two daughters, whom he adored, Claudia (6 yrs old) and Sophia ( 5 months old) with tears and smiles. Cherished son of Mavis Fletcher of Alexendria, ON and Bill Fletcher of Kingston, ON and brother of Julie (Luis) of Austin Texas. A loved son-in law of Henny and Giulio Dallago of Whistler BC. Gavin was also a brother-in law to Isabel (Jean) and Julius (Angela)and uncle of Anneke, Remy, Yanick. The Family would like to recognize the comfort and support provided by all of Gavin's friends and family, various groups he belonged to and his co-workers at the Times - Colonist newspaper. A celebration of life will take place at Brechin United church, 1998 Estevan on Sunday Dec 17th, 2006 at 1:30 pm sharp with a reception to follow at the Nanaimo Golf Club, 2800 Highland Blvd. from 2:30- 3:30 pm. FRASER, John Andrew - Mr. John Fraser of Cornwall at the Cornwall Community Hospital - McConnell Site on Thursday December 14, 2006 age 64 years. (Retired Employee of Domtar Accounting Department). Beloved husband of Sheila Flanigan. Loved father of Holly Ann Fraser (Jeremy), Ottawa; James Andrew Fraser, Cornwall; and Josh Alexander Fraser (Stacey) of Belleville. Dear brother of Steven Fraser (Marilyn), Guelph; Barbara Fraser, Cornwall; Hazel Fraser, Ottawa; Nancy Robinson (Gary) and Linda Fraser both of Westport. He will be missed by his friend Zack. Predeceased by his parents Leo Angus Fraser and Kathleen McDonald and by one brother Wesley Fraser. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall from 2 PM Friday December 15th. Funeral services will be celebrated in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday December 16, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Committal at a later date in St. Lawrence Valley cemetery , Long Sault. Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 7-10 PM and Saturday 12 Noon until the time of funeral. If so desired contributions to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Janet MacDonell Pavilion Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.

LONGTIN, Marie-Jeanne - Marie-Jeanne Longtin passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital - McConnell Avenue on Wednesday, December 13, 2006. Age 82 years. Formerly of 326 Guy Street, Cornwall, Ontario. Dear mother of Jo-Ann Towers (Joe) of Windsor, Ontario. Loving grandmother of one granddaughter, Mikayla. Dear sister of René Longtin (Estelle) of Gananoque, Ontario, Rudolph (Rudy) Longtin, Mrs. Irène Labelle, Fernande (Mrs. Eugène Clouthier) and Gilberte (Mrs. Jean Richer) all of Cornwall. Dear daughter of the late Joseph Longtin and the late Imelda Gervais. Predeceased by two brothers, Fernand and Laurent Longtin and two sisters, Mrs. Annette Desrosiers and Mrs. Rita Séguin. Resting at the BOULERICE FUNERAL HOME LTD. (613-932-5455), 218 Montreal Road, Cornwall, Ontario on Friday, December 15 from 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2006 for Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Co-cathedral at 10 a.m., followed by cremation in South Branch crematorium, Cornwall, Ontario. The family will be in attendance on Friday, December 15 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 16 from 8:30-9:45 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family. DOLAN, Tom - Veteran of WWII and served in Korean War. Peacefully on December 14, 2006 at Kingston General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Shirley. Loving father of Michael and Tom. Dear brother of Leslie (Denise) Dolan and Frances Madore and brother-in-law of Richard (Jill) Graham. Fondly remembered by nephew Dan and Gloria Dolan and their children Brittany and Kimberly. Tom will be greatly missed by many friends and neighbours. In accordance with Tom's wishes cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, December 19 at 10:30 a.m. in the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes (435 Davis Drive). Friends may call half hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

PETRIE, Audrey Jean (George). Peacefully at the Millennium Trail Manor in Niagara Falls on December 13, 2006 in her 83rd. year. Beloved wife of the late Paul F. Petrie (1979). Loving mother of Paul and his wife Elizabeth (Beth), Larry and his wife Marie all of Niagara Falls and Varuna (Pennie) Dargan of Hawaii. Dearest grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Sister of Patricia Gobel and her husband Joe of Fort Erie. Sister-in- law of Mrs. Henry George (Mary) and Mrs. Charles George (Lois) of Port Colborne. Predeceased by her brothers Charles and Henry and her sister Mae Liddon and her husband George. Audrey was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 51 Ladies Auxiliary, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the I.O.D.E., the GNGH Auxiliary and GNGH Health Unit. At the personal request of Audrey her cremation has taken place. There will be a Service of Remembrance to be held at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, Victoria Ave., on Saturday December 16, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, in memoriam contributions to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.

Mère bien-aimée de Rosaire Michauville (Thérèse) de Montpellier, QC, Francine Michauville, et René Michauville (feue-Danielle) de St- André-Avellin, QC, Yvan Michauville (Louise) de North Bay, Rose Michauville (Marcel) de Lantier, QC et Patrick Bilodeau de North Bay. Elle sera tendrement gravée dans la mémoire de ses 12 petits-enfants ainsi que trois arrières petits-enfants. Sonia était la fille bien-aimée d' Evangeline et de feu Pierre Bilodeau. Elle laisse également dans le deuil quatre soeurs, Ida Michauville, Rose Laporte, Louisa Giroux, Rita Bellaire et trois frères, Henri (Rose), Robert (Glenda) et Norman Bilodeau. Précédée par trois soeurs, Lina, Marie, Suzanne et deux frères, Louis et Jules. La famille acceuillera parents et amis à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE McGUINTY, vendredi de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu à la paroisse St-Thomas d'Aquin à Astorville, samedi à 10h30. L'incinération suivra au crématoire Forest Lawn. Les condoléances peuvent s'exprimer par des dons au Centre régionale de cancérologie du nord-est ontario.

Alma Mae “Alli“ Dodgson

DODGSON, Alma Mae “Alli“ - At Leisureworld , North Bay on Tuesday, December 12, 2006. Alma Mae ( nee Avery) was the beloved wife of the late Joseph “Gib“ Dodgson, who predeceased her May 31st 2002. Alli was born February 25, 1914 at North Bay. Dear mother of John Richard “Jack“ and his wife Carol and Douglas Murray and his wife Franca . Loving grandmother of Jeffrey Richard, James Robert (wife Vicki), Matthew Paul, Bryan Jonathan, Daniel Michael and Marisa Nicole. Great grandmother of Jessica Marie, Jonathan Cameron, Andrew James and Jasmine Alisha. Alli was predeceased by her parents the late John and Mary Avery, her infant daughter Maxine Anne, her sister Esther Knapp, her brothers Lawrence, Cecil, Charles, William, Gordon, John and James. She is survived by her sister Grace Hardwick and her sister in law Evelyn Avery. At Alli's request there will not be visitation. A memorial service will be held at St. Brice's Anglican Church on Saturday, December 16th, at 11:00 am. Interment of ashes will take place in Terrace Lawn cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall).

CAMERON, Allan Stanley - At his residence on Tuesday, December 12, 2006. Allan Stanley Cameron, in his 81st year, husband of the late Helen Cameron (nee Tanner) and Germaine Cameron (nee Beland). Stepfather of Brenda Heard of Oshawa, Bernice Westerink of Orono and Brian VanNoord of Sudbury. Also survived by 8 step grandchildren and 2 great step grandchildren. Nephew of Marrian Mann, Lena Mann and Bernice and Bruce Brown. Also survived by many cousins. Following cremation, a Service in memory of Allan will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Grafton on Monday, December 18 at 2 p.m. Friends may visit at the Church from 1 p.m. till time of service. Interment Baltimore United Church cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Allan can be made to St. Andrew's United Church, Grafton. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Cravens) Duff. Beloved wife of the late Albert George Harris (1980). Dear Mother of Margaret Sullivan of Elmsdale, N.S. and Lois Bachynski of Chatham. Also surviving are 6 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great-great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Janet Duff, Agnes Wycherly, Margaret (Peggy) Barry, Nana MacDonald, Robert (Bert) Duff and John Duff. Mrs. Harris was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church and the A.C.W. She was a member of the Padagean Club and a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Dartmouth, NS. She was Commissioner of the Girl Guides in Nova Scotia and a former member of the Maple City Centre for Older Adults. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 81 Selkirk, Chatham with Rev. John Hodgins officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque to St. Andrew's Residence appreciated.
