GIBSON, Eva Gertrude (nee Saunders)- was born March 1, 1923 in Charlton, Ontario. She was the daughter of Francis & Charles Saunders. She passed away peacefully at the home of her eldest daughter Cheryl's in Nakusp B.C. on the early morning of January 13, 2007. Eva grew up in Charlton, Ontario, married her husband Johnny July 3, 1941. They moved to King Kirkland where she lived until she moved to Nakusp B.C. Jan. 2006. Eva was predeceased by her husband John on July 11, 2002 and by sons Morley and Dwight, grandson Travis Weisflock, son-in-law Ira Geddes, sisters Verna Bain, Edith Gibson, Violet Scott and brother Howard Saunders. Eva will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughters Cheryl (Harvey) Truax of Nakusp, B.C., Vanessa Geddes of King Kirkland, Merina (Don) Weisflock of Kirkland Lake, and son Jimmy (Sirpa) Gibson of Kirkland Lake. Grandchildren Vickey (Scott) Mcleod, of Alberta, Cheryl (Kevin) Black, Tweyla (Jason) Simpson, Harvey (Jen) Truax of B.C. Grant (Bobbi Jo) Geddes of King Kirkland, Kyle (Laura) Geddes of King Kirkland, Jamie, Graham and Johnny Gibson of Kirkland Lake, and 14 great grandchildren. Eva also leaves behind sisters Evelyn Lyons, June Hanson, brothers Jim Saunders and Glen Saunders and many nieces and nephews. Eva was a member of the Encore Club in Kirkland Lake since 1984. She enjoyed playing bridge and crib and also did many hours of volunteering. She was bookkeeper for 14 years for the Road Commission in King Kirkland. When the King Kirkland School was in operation, she was janitor for a few years. The family of Eva Gibson will hold a Memorial Celebration of her life at a later date, to be announced.

MOONEY, Brian Dominic - Suddenly at home in Toronto on December 31, 2006 in his 55th year. Survived by his mother Joan Mooney (Dom 1993) of Lindsay, his four sons, and brothers Terrence (Cathy) of British Columbia and Robert of Lindsay, sister Brenda Jeanne Knowles (Chris) of Ottawa and girlfriend Jean of Toronto. Cremation has already taken place. Memorial service was held on Monday, January 8, 2007 in Toronto.

Much loved Mother of Joan Ionson (Roy) of Chesley, Judi Moffat (Bill) of Burlington and John Worthington of Tobermory. Loving Grandma of Bruce Ionson (Kelly), Lee Ionson (Kate), Judi Martindale, Roberta Cuthbertson (Mike), Nancy Moffat (Chessie) and Susan Levy (Dave). Betty was a very special 'Gigi' to great grandchildren Sarah, Katrina, Heather, Madison and Victoria. She will be sadly missed by her brother Albert Tier (Marjorie) of St. Thomas and her sister Madeline Backius of Largo, Florida. Betty was predeceased by her parents Frank and Daisy Tier and grandson-in-law Paul Martindale. Betty was born in St. Thomas, Ontario and lived a very full life which included a vast number of friends. It was a privilege to know her. After many wonderful years spent raising a family in Hamilton, Betty and John spent their retirement years in Florida and Barrow Bay. She was a fine Christian lady who was vivacious, energetic and a tremendous volunteer all of her life. In accordance with Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Betty's life will be held at Christ Church Anglican, Lions Head on Saturday, January 20th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jawn Kolohon officiating. MUSSAT, Mark Samuel - Surrounded by his angels who carried him into the arms of his father Norm. Mark left this earth unexpectedly on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at the young age of 37. Beloved husband of Tammy, devoted Daddy of Nicholas. Mark is survived by his loving Mom, Lesia, and stepfather Robert French. Dear brother of Michael (Kim), Terry (Becky), and their children, Justin, Jason, Colton, Caleb, Matthew, and Christopher. Survived by his Dido, Mike Sr., stepbrother Geoffrey (Helen), John (Wendy), Jason and Jamie French. Son-in-law of Margaret and Jim Gurman, brother-in-law of Charlene and Jennifer. Mark is predeceased by his loving father Norm (1990). Mark will be lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. In his short life, with great humour, Mark spread love, kindness and strength to all who knew him. He not only had a passion for life but a passion for lawnmowers. In anticipation of his upcoming surgery Mark had a memorable, heartfelt Christmas at home that will be remembered forever by his family. Mark was employed with the City of St. Catharines.
