Rosina Costa

COSTA, Rosina - passed away peacefully, with her daughter at her side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday February 22, 2007 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of 60 years to Domenico Costa. Dearly loved mother of Nazareno, Joseph (Carol), Sara, Frank and the late Sam Costa. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her eleven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Dear sister of Sam (Fina) and Quinto (Nazarena) Candeloro , Giuseppina (Domenico) Marzano and sister- in-law of Pina Candeloro. Predeceased by her brother Luigi Candeloro. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview cemetery. The Vigil for Mrs. Costa will be celebrated Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. MINOV, Nicholas (Nick) BSc.,MSc. LLB - Peacefully after a courageous battle with Cancer at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, February 20, 2007, surrounded by the love of all his girls and his nephew. Beloved and devoted husband of Anita Minov (nee. Usaty). Loved Papa of Mary Anne (Also called Manya) and Natalie Minov. Dear brother of Olga Wilson (Bill). Dearly loved son in law of Mary and the late Leo Usaty. Loved brother in law and friend of Leah Black (Dennis), and Papa Nick to his niece Alanna. Dear uncle of Carolyn Gignac (Brian) and their son Geoffrey, Rod Wilson (Trish) and their daughter Riley Claire. Dearly loved cousin of Nick Murza (Kathryn), and Zoya Prokopovich and other relatives in Byelorussia. Dearly loved by Kumi, Frank Lovasi and John Armenia and their families; dear friend of Bill Czaban. Nick was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls where he practiced law for over 30 years, pursuing all aspects of his career until the time of his death. He served his community as an active volunteer on the Board of Governors of the Greater Niagara General Hospital, as president of the Boys and Girls Club, and on the board of Niagara Concerts. An accomplished musician Nick played Trombone with the Niagara Falls Concert Band, Violin with Mercredi Musique Chamber Orchestra and was the Carilloneur of Christ Church. He was a member of the NAWCC, The St. Catharines Flying Club and the St. Catharines Amateur Radio Club VE3MFQ. As a world traveler Nick visited the four corners of the Globe including trips above the Arctic Circle to the lands that he loved. As a graduate of University of Western Ontario, his curiosity was ongoing and his quest for knowledge was infinite. Resting at the FUNERAL CHAPEL OF HETHERINGTON AND DEANS, 5176 Victoria Ave where the family will receive friends Thursday 7-9 Friday 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held at Christ Church, 4750 Zimmerman Ave. on Saturday February 24, 2007, at 11:30 AM. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy contributions to Juravinski Cancer Centre (att'n Dr. Sebastien Hotte); GNGH Unit D or ICU; St. Josephs Hospital Hamilton - Urology Unit or Christ Church would be appreciated by the family.

Daughter of the late Calixte and of the late Marie (née Beaulieu) Viau. Wife of the late Roland Brunet, predeceased in 1985. Loving mother of Ernest Brunet (Sharon) of Guelph, Hector Brunet (Valeda) of Gatineau, QC, Marie Brown (Thomas) of Little Harbour, Newfoundland, Estelle Gauthier (Patrick) of Burlington and Dennis Brunet (Sue) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her son Euclide. Dear sister of Alcide Viau (late Denise) of Noëlville. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Telesphore (Leonie of Noëlville), Elise Dionne (late Ludger), Amanda Seguin (late Eugene), Rosanna Langlois (late Ted) and Jeanne Mongeon (late Leo). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 16 grandchildren, her 18 great-grandchildren, her 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Jeffrey, Christie, Kerri, Kevin, Ashley, Curtis, Ryan, Julia, Stephen, Rebecca, Amanda, Brian, Jarod, Carly and great grandchild Jari. Dear son of Joseph and Eva Frank both predeceased. Dear brother of Heddy (husband Fred Gadsby) of Saskatoon, Julius of B.C., Paul of Whitby, Elmer of Sudbury, predeceased by Michael, Katie and Andy. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Born in Prudhomme, Saskatchewan, he married Delcie in Sudbury, in 1951. Ferdie worked as a dispatcher with Petro Canada for many years, retiring in 1986. He was proud to be named a Lifetime Member at the Sudbury Curling Club. Ferdie enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing and especially spending time at his cottage, the “Mindemoya Hilton“, with his children and his grandchildren. Cherished grandfather of Crystal, Danny, Richard, David Jr., Stanley, Dale, Clifford, Sierra, Raina, and great grandchildren Matthew, Mackenzie and Brooklyn. Dear son of Paul and Catherine “Kitty“ (Bonhomme) Labatte predeceased. Dear brother of Reginald “Bee“ and Jackie Labatte both predeceased. Dear uncle of Paul of Bowlands Bay. Bill lived in Penetanguishene in his youth working with his family in the Midland area as a commercial fisherman on Georgian Bay. He settled in Bowland's Bay in 1936. A proud Canadian he served overseas during WWII with the Canadian Army. He was a forester with the Ministry of Natural Resources retiring in 1982 with 35 years service. He was a member of the Ontario 1/4 Century Club. A Roman Catholic he belonged to St. Bernadine of Sienna Church. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting and fishing. The focus of his life was his loving family. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Monday, February 19th, 2007 at 7 pm. Rev. John George Brownhill

BROWNHILL, Rev. John George - August 17, 1946 - February 15, 2007 Cherished husband and best friend of Marcia. Proud father of Stephen, fiancé Tasha Monahan and of Philip. Loving brother of Christopher. Will be missed by many other relatives. Rev. Brownhill was ordained into the Anglican ministry in 1979 and served in the dioceses of Toronto, Moosonee, and Huron. During this time, he touched the lives of his parishioners and was very active in the communities where he lived. He was a true witness to the love of our Lord. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Malcolm. Son of the late Herman and of the late Sarah (née Gamelin) Quesnelle. Loving father of Veronica “Roni” Quesnelle of Sudbury. Aurel was a retired letter carrier for Canada Post with 42 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and a movie buff. His sense of humour will always be remembered. Cecil Ignatius Boutilier

BOUTILIER, Cecil Ignatius - February 1, 1925 - February 18, 2007. It is with great sadness that the family of Cecil Ignatius Boutilier announces his peaceful passing at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, February 18, 2007. Devoted husband of Rita (nee Snyder), loving father of Robert Boutilier of Vancouver, Marie Boutilier-Dean (Tony Dean) of Toronto, Teresa Boraski (Sam) of Brantford, and Kim Boutilier (David LePage) also of Vancouver. Grandpa Cecil will be greatly missed by his 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Cecil was a long term employee of Cockshutts/ White Farm and later, Plainsview Trailers. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid golfer. Special thanks to the compassionate nursing staff on 6B at the Brantford General Hospital. Cox, who predeceased her on November 26, 2006. Dear mother of Dr. Brian G. Cox and his wife Judith, of Augusta, Georgia, and Charles D. Cox and his close friend Glenda Ricketts, of Kingston. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Kelley Ann Gass (Dennis), of Atlanta, Georgia, Janice of Texas, and Amanda and Shannon, of Ottawa, and also by her great grandsons, Timothy and Daniel of Texas. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Myrtle Morrow and brothers, George and Orval Morrow. Ella will be always fondly remembered by her family and numerous friends, including her church family at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Surviving family members are daughter Doris and husband Clarence, sons David, John and wife Shirley and Dwight, 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express much appreciation to the staff at Oakwood for the kind and loving care that was extended to our mother for the eight years that it was her home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6457 Montrose Rd., Niagara Falls, Ontario.
