PARKINS, Kathryn May - Kathy passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2007 after a brief illness. She was loved by her sister Dorothy Eddy, sister-in-law Betty Adams, niece Kimberley Eddy, nephew Brent Adams and his wife Liane and nephew Kevin Eddy and his wife Pam. Kathy was a great aunt to Lauren Eddy. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and May Adams and her brother Ted Adams. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, 92 Main St. from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Paul was predeceased by his first wife Roza, June 21, 1982. He was an active member of his industry and served several years as a Director of the Ontario Poultry and Marketing Board. A founding member of the St. Davids Lions Club, a dedicated member of Niagara #2 Masonic Lodge, a member of the Elgin Lodge of Perfection. SMITH, Harold Martin (Bud) F/Lt. (Ret'd) RCAF - Bud has left us in his 85th year on January 2, 2007 to join his loving wife Marion who said farewell 15 years ago. The son of the late John Martin Smith and Mary Bossert, Bud will be sadly missed by his daughter Pat, his sons and daughters-in-law Boyd and Sandy, Jan and Julie, his grandchildren Kim, Kelly, Cory, Jean, Jennifer, Deidra, Sean and Meghan, his great grandchildren Deanna, William, Aleena and Miranda and his brother Robert. Predeceased by siblings Evelyn, Gladys and Marvin. An officer and a gentleman, he was loved by his family and friends and respected by all who knew him. On active service during W.W. II, Bud flew Lancaster bombers as part of the 428 Ghost Squadron and 405 Pathfinder Squadron for which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, he worked as a butcher at his father's store in Ridgeway before returning to a flying career with the RCAF, and then with the Department of Revenue, Customs and Excise. Bud was active in Lions for 30 years, and a member of the board of the Fort Erie Douglas Memorial Hospital. A memorial gathering and service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Ridgeway on Saturday, February 24th at 11:00am, where Bud was a life member. Also survived by her mother-in-law Mrs Signy Fleming of Sudbury, ON, Brothers-in-law, Roger (Flo) Fleming of Detroit, Michigan, and William (Cecile) Fleming of Haileybury, ON and sister-in-law Mrs Sandra (Carmen) Fielding of Sudbury,ON. She also leaves to mourn, from her extended family, step-sister Contance Leroux (Normand), step-brothers, Michel Rochefort (Angela) of Timmins,ON and Denis Rochefort (Denice) of Edmonton Alberta. Vivianne will also be missed by her numerous Nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Vivianne was predeceased by her husband Richard Fleming (January 2004), her father Aurele Lalonde, mother Cécile Lalonde and step- mother Henriette Lalonde. Vivianne was a long time employee of the Canada Employment Center, working many years in Timmins, Sault Ste-Marie and Hamilton. She was an avid golfer and loved to travel. According to Vivianne's wishes, no visitations or service will be held, although remembrance donations may be offered to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

BERLINGERI, Mrs. Elvira - It is with sadness born of loss that the family of Elvira Berlingeri acknowledges her passing on Saturday, February 24th at her home in Fonthill after a long and valiant struggle with cancer. Born in 1940 in Colle d'Anchise Italy, the sixth daughter of Nicola and Christina Bernardo she moved to Canada in 1962 to start a new life. After arriving in Port Colborne she met her husband Domenic Berlingeri whom she married in 1966 and together they took great pleasure and pride in raising their daughters Marina and Joanne. Elvira loved cooking, gardening, and traveling but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Elvira is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Domenic; her two loving daughters, Marina (and husband Allan Wyneperle) and Joanne (and husband Frank Capretta); three adoring grandchildren, Benjamin and Jacob (Wyneperle) and Nicholas (Capretta); three sisters, Maria Luccarelli, Nunzia DiPetta, and Rosangela DePalma; her brother Antonio Bernardo in Italy, sister-in- law Lucy DiNobile, brother in-law Tony Berlingeri, numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives, in-laws and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Rosa Bernardo and Antonietta DiPetta. The family would like to thank all of the many people who have shown so much love to Elvira through the years and remind us that while cancer may have taken her from us, it cannot cripple the love we share, shatter our hope, suppress our memories or diminish our faith that we will all be together again some day. We say good-bye for now but not forever and comfort ourselves knowing that you are always with us in our hearts and memories.
