passed away peacefully with her daughter’s at her side, on Friday July 6, 2007 at the North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site. Mildred, beloved wife of the late Leslie Peachey, in her 90th year. Loving mother of Claudette McGuire (Garf "Garry”), Valrie Sayer (Greg), and Bob Peachey (Kathleen). Proud grandmother of Keri & Debbie, Kim & Kelly, and Stephen & Melissa; great-grandmother of fourteen. Predeceased by her parents Louis & Roselba Brousseau, and siblings Euclide, George, Cecile Sabourin, and Euclidia Lahaie.
A private family service was held at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME. Interment at St. Mary’s cemetery.

WYATT - James Lindsay 'Jim'
At the North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site on Wednesday July 4, 2007, at the age of 86. Jim was the beloved husband of Genevieve Wright. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Eva Wyatt, and siblings Bob Wyatt and Marion Austerberry. Jim was a WWII Veteran, an employee of Ontario Hydro for many years, a member of the North Bay Granite Club, and life long member of the North Bay Golf & Country Club. His other true love – the game of golf! Lovingly remembered by his niece Cindy Keech (Tim), and nephews Bob Wright (Francine), and Bill Wright (Mary), all of North Bay, Tom Austerberry (Carol) of Brampton, and Bob Austerberry (Yolanda) of Dundas. Survived by his sister-in-law Elsie Wright, brother-in-law Reg Montemurro, and many dear friends including Marie Rondeau and Heather Robb.
At Jim’s request cremation has taken place. A grave-side service will be held at a later date.

Suddenly at her home on Tuesday June 5, 2007. Carole, beloved wife of Jim Pritchard, in her 76th year. Loving mother of Jeff (wife Tara) of North Bay, and Mike of Edmonton. Dear grandmother of Zac and Sheena Pritchard. Carole is survived by her mother Dorothy McIntyre and brother Bob McIntyre.

Mrs. Blais (nee Green) - Ruth
Died at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site, on Saturday, June 9, 2007. Ruth Green, was the beloved wife of Ronald Murray Blais, she was 79 years old. She was the loving mother of Rebecca and Sandra both of Callander. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Lois Blais (Dave) of Vancouver and by her nephew David Waterhouse (Lorna) of Victoria. Predeceased by her parents Donald and Audrey Green and by her sisters Marion Waterhouse and Shirley Enstedt.
Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home (across from City Hall) on Wednesday, June 13th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (Premier Road) on Thursday, June 14th at 2:00 PM. Interment Nipissing Junction cemetery.

McKinnon - Heather
The family announces with sorrow, her death at the North Bay General Hospital following a courageous struggle with cancer on Thursday June 21st, 2007 at the age of 68. Heather was the beloved mother of Mark McLaughlin of North Bay. She was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Hazel McKinnon and her sister Mildred Duquette. Beloved sister of Phyllis Hoyt (Richard) of Whitby, Joan Dion (Denis predeceased), and brothers Jack (Ruth), James and David all of North Bay. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, especially her loving care giver Debbie Rudzinski and her family Terri-Lynne Brousseau (James), Carolyn Landriault and Ryan Landriault (Sarah) and dearly loved by her "little chickadees” Hailey and Katie Brousseau and great, great nephew Kaeden Eaves.

Mrs. Ryman (nee Manser) - Katherine
passed away peacefully at Cassellholme, North Bay on Sunday June 24th, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Katherine, nee Manser, was the beloved wife of the late John Henry George Ryman. The loving mother of Roy and his wife Roberta, Gordon, Audrey and her husband Steve Graham, Ivan and his wife Mary Ellen all of North Bay, Betty Graf of Kitchener and Janet and her husband David McConnell of Warren. Lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Cyril Manser and his wife Rene of Henfield, England. Kathy was predeceased by her siblings Fred and Phyllis. She had formerly been a member of the WA at Christ Church Anglican. Kathy loved gardening, picking blueberries at the cottage and baking butter tarts for her grandchildren.

LALONDE - Roger Joseph Ernest
On Saturday, June 23, 2007, Roger Joseph Ernest Lalonde passed away at his home in North Bay. He was born in New Liskeard on September 16, 1939. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Pauline Lalonde and his brother, Marcel Lalonde. He will be dearly remembered by Patricia Lalonde. Roger was the beloved Father of Julie Gabriel and her husband Richard and Michael Lalonde and Lesley Mason. He leaves behind his brothers Raymond and his wife Helene, Claude and his wife Diane and his sister Normande and her husband Leon.

Peacefully on Thursday June 21, 2007 at the North Bay General Hospital -Scollard Site. Jennie, beloved wife of the late Duncan Morrison, in her 92nd year. Loving mother of Lane Newman (husband Douglas), Jewell Couch, and Scott Morrison. Dear grandmother of nine, and great-grandmother of five. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Barbara Morrison. Jennie taught piano for many years, was a chartered member of the North Bay Branch of the ORMTA formed in 1949, and an active member of Trinity United Church.

KERSLAKE - Barclay 'Barc'
(1934-2007)
At the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 12, 2007. Barc was the beloved partner of Viola MacVicar and will be remembered by her children Susanne (Michael Carr), Mike (Delia) and Ronald. He will be remembered by his son Lloyd (Margaret). Dearly loved grandfather to Ashley, Keegan, Kieran, and Evan. Barc enjoyed teaching high school for many years, first at Widdifield and then at F.J. McElligott (Mattawa). Following his retirement, Barc socialized with his friends at the local grocery stores, Heritage Carousel/Railway and the North Bay Woodcarvers.
Cremation at the Forest Lawn cemetery and Crematorium. A time of fellowship will be held at the Calvin Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 17th from 10:00 am until the time for a Memorial Service in the Sanctuary at 11:00 am.

HALLIWELL - Helen Margaret
Helen died peacefully at home during the evening of July 13, 2007, at the age of 95. Helen was born in Cornwall, Ontario on September 10, 1911 and has resided in Cornwall, Kingston, St. Catherines, Temiscaming and North Bay. Helen was predeceased by her husband Percy Nichols Halliwell who died in 1991. Helen is survived by her children; Jane Halliwell-Deer of North Bay, John Halliwell (Mary Lou) of Calgary and Margaret Halliwell ("Don MacDonald) of Toronto. Helen will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren: Natalie, Jennifer and Matthew of Calgary, Emily and Shannon of Toronto and Greg (Maria) of Winnipeg, Shawn (Rhonda) of Waterloo, Susan of Ottawa and by her two great grandchildren Megan and Ethan of Waterloo. Helen is also predeceased by her siblings Leslie Oliver (Martha) of Binghamton, NY and Jessie Liddell (Bill) of St. Catharines.
Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care and friendship given to Helen over the last few years by Donna Boal, Janet Parks, Cindy Meir, Cheryl Cormier, Apryl Westaway, Linda Hughes, Linda Davies, Audrey Heward and also wishes to thank Pastor Bob Rittenhouse and his wife Susan for their spiritual support and Dr. Stemp for his medical care. Helen has been a long standing member and active participant as a member of the Baptist Church throughout her lifetime. More recently she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gideon’s and the Mission Circle of First Baptist Church in North Bay. Helen, after graduation from Secretarial College, was employed with an Insurance firm in Kingston, until her marriage to Percy in 1937. She was devoted to her family throughout her life and was the anchor and the organizer of many successful family events, occasions and vacations. She loved the outdoors and traveling, camping and cottaging with her family. Helen was also dedicated to pursuing her artistic interests. She was active in expressing herself in fashion, sketching, working in copper, oil painting, water colours and china painting.
Cremation will take place at the Forest Lawn cemetery and Crematorium. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church (1250 Cassells Street) on Thursday, July 19th at 2:00 PM. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship one hour prior to the service. At the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site on Sunday, July 15, 2007. Nellie Barry was the beloved wife of the late Calvert Murray Northrup. Beloved mother of Murray and his wife Diane and Trudy Stanton and her husband Rick all of North Bay. Grandma will be sadly missed by grandchildren Aaron (Sandra Daniher), Colleen (Michael Rollason), Kendra (Danny), Stacey (Brian), Meaghan (Steve Bowler) and Kristy and by great grandchildren Kailey Northrup, Daniella and Gibson Northrup, Jack & Will Rollason and Sam Bowler. Lovingly remembered by her special niece Susan Stacey (Dave). She was predeceased by her siblings Harold, Johnny, Norman, Katie, Gertrude and Frank.

Doug Newell, born April 30, 1958 in Toronto, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday July 28, 2007. Son of Ross Newell (deceased) and Helen Timney (Robert Bulbrook), husband to Anne Graham, father to Robin and Emily Newell, and step father to Adrian and Carrie Graham. Survived by his brothers Donald (Barb), David (Susan) and sisters Cheryl Flanders (Rick) and Catherine. Step-Brother Patrick Timney (Lisa) and step-sister Kathy MacIntosh (David). Son-in-law to Magnus and Margaret Graham, sisters-in-law Sheila Glew, Pauline Graham, Marie (Clarence) Borja. Doug was the General Manager of Laurentian Ski Hill, North Bay.
