HEBERT - Cleo
HEBERT, Cleo (December 25, 1952 - March 30, 2005) - At Leisureworld Caregiving Centre. Left to mourn his passing are his beloved daughter Terri-Lynn Hebert-Blake, and his wife Judy Ann Hebert. Sorely missed by brothers Wilfred (Bud) and wife Jean of North Bay, Raymond and wife Charlotte of Swastika, Gilbert and wife Louise of Holtyre, by his sister Linda and husband Leonce Brousseau of Iroquois Falls and by his closest cousin Elizabeth Corkill (Bruce Cox) of Matheson. Predeceased by his mother Elizabeth in 1985 and his father Ernest in 1987. Cleo was a true family man - followed closely as a true blue fan of the Toronto Maple Leaf hockey team. Cleo will be remembered by his friends and teammates in the Holtyre/Matheson area as a sportsman, participant and organizer in fastball, hockey, curling, broomball, golf and anything else that could be called a game. He was a Clerk and Administrator with TransCanada Pipe Line in Ramore and North Bay for 23 years. He will be more recently remembered as the owner/operator of CJ's Variety in downtown North Bay until his illness. Cleo's outgoing personality and genuine love for people earned him the respect and admiration of many. Visitation for Cleo will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. A Funeral Mass for Cleo will be celebrated at the Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. Resting in the hands of the Lord

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

BROHM - Etta
Peacefully at Nipissing Manor on Wednesday March 30, 2005, in her 84th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph. Most cherished mother of Bonny (David) Ridenour, of Callander. Cherished grandmother of Tara (Marc) and David (Tina). Great grandmother of Sean, Britney, Kyle, Andrew, Matthew and J.T. Loving sister of Orville (Vivian), Raymond (Dorothy), Anne Peever, Ken (Jean), Kathleen Johnston, Don, Joyce Wylie (George) and sister in law to Gladys. Predeceased by her siblings Eunice Kingshot (Jim), Royce, her identical twin Retta Widdifield (Art), brother in law Denny Peever, Bob Johnston and sister in law Pat Myers. In accordance to Etta's wishes, no visitation or service will be held. Cremation at Forest Lawn Crematorium. Graveside service in Emsdale at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home (472-8810).

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario.

MORIN - Tyler
Sadly at the North Bay General Hospital - McLaren Site, on Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Tyler was the beloved son of David and Velma (nee McLaren) Morin, he was 6 days old. He was the loving brother of Luke, Kyle and Phillip Morin. Dear grandson of Wilda McLaren. Predeceased by his grandparents Charles and Kathleen Morin and Leonard McLaren. He will be lovingly remembered by his many aunt, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home (across from City Hall) today from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9:00 PM. Funeral Services from the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 2nd at 3:00 PM. Spring interment will be in the Mount Pleasant cemetery , in Rutherglen. Tyler's family would like to thank the staff at the Hospital for Sick Children and at Mount Sinai and to Dr. Zeman, Monique and Nancy.

WILSON - Margaret
Wilson, Margaret M. (nee MacPherson)-passed away at the North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site on April 3, 2005. Loving wife of Mervyn Wilson of North Bay. Dear mother of Andrew (Joan) of Elmvale, Doug (Cathy) of Oakville and Ian of Callander. She will be fondly remembered by 3 grandchildren; Casey, Garrett and Brett Wilson. Survived by her sister Annie (Gordon Steele). Margaret will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Monday April 4, 2005 at the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm.

LEBEAU - Sherry
passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday April 6, 2005 at the age of 40 years. Loving mother of Joseph. Sadly missed by her friend Ernie, by her mother Cecile and stepfather Jeff and by her brothers and sisters Joseph (Cathy), Sammy (Bernice), Jacqueline and Charles (Marg). Sherry was also aunt and best friend to Kelsey and Kurtis. Survived by many aunts and uncles and by her father Joe. Sherry will be sadly missed by all. A private family funeral service will be held at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service for Sherry's friends will be held at a later date. .

Rutherford - Harold Burton
At the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Thursday February 14, 2002, in his 76th year. Dearly beloved husband, for 52 years, of Frances David. Proud and loving father of Carol Hill (Jeff) of Redbridge, Heather McGrath (Joe) of Buxton, Maine, David (Rhonda) of North Bay and Alan (Karen) of Englehart. Predeceased by his son Gordon. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Scott (fiancé Shannon McLean), Kevin (fiancé Michelle Mathieu), Kelly, Melissa, Jamie, Jessica and Chrissy and his great granddaughter Maya. Harold was predeceased by is parents Burton G. and Nevada M. Rutherford (nee McCarthy), an infant brother Kenny and his mother and father in law Florence and Frank David. He will be sadly missed by his brother in law Bill David (Sheila) of Frankford. A long time Ontario Northland Railway employee Harold worked in the yard office as the Yardmaster Clerk, retiring in 1986 after 35 years of service. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services to celebrate Harold's life will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 18th, 2002. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in Union cemetery.

If desired donations to the Nipissing Association for Disabled Youth, the Rotary Club or Easter Seals, will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

PATERSON - Edwin
At the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Sunday April 10, 2005. Dear husband of the late Margaret Allan. Loving father of Gerry of North Bay and Nadyne Swanson (Sean) of Winnipeg. Sadly missed by grandchildren Holly (Gerard) of Barrie and Heidi (Buff), Cindy and Nancy all of Winnipeg and. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Emily Paterson, his brother Warren (Shirley surviving) and sister Gladys Murphy (Ed). Survived by sisters Margaret Richardson and Delma Smylie (Jack), brother Gerald (Edna) and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was a lifelong member of the Elks Club and part owner of F.R. Paterson Plumbing and Heating Ltd. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church on Saturday at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. John's Anglican cemetery.

SWEET - Bruce
Safe in the arms of Jesus, Bruce died peacefully at his home on Wednesday April 13th, 2005 surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Dorothy (nee Bennett) and the proud and loving father of Derek (Adella) of Orangeville and Brad (Laura) of Sault St. Marie. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Rebecca and Gregory Sweet, Collin and Bradley Holden, and Sadie Sweet. Predeceased by his parents the late Elwood and Ruby Sweet, formerly of New Liskeard, Bruce will be sadly missed by his mother in law Beatrice Bennett of New Liskeard. Dear brother of Larry (Pat), Evelyn Proctor (Dennis), Garry (Linda), Stan (Jan), Val (Jeanne Mance) and Myrna Harvey (Mike). Friends may call at the Salvation Army Citadel, 134 McIntyre Street E, on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services to celebrate Bruce's life will be held in the citadel on Saturday April 16th at 2:00 p.m. Interment Forest Lawn cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME.

ALLEN - William Reginald "Reg"
Went to be with the Lord on Friday February 11th. He was the loving husband of the late Thelma Lennox. Reg was born on October 13, 1914 in Kingsville Ontario to parents Alice Rawson and Orillian Allen. He is survived by his daughter Marilyn Sutherland (Chris), and beloved grandchildren Amanda, Jennifer and Patrick. He is also survived by his sister Helen Harrison (Fred-deceased), brothers Garnet (Lorette), Doug (Muriel), Ken (Shirley), sisters-in-law Dorothy Duke (George-deceased), Audrey Albert (Ed), Betty Lennox, Jackie Lennox, and Bernie Allen, and brothers-in-law Grenville Lennox (Martha), and Bruce Lennox (Barb). Reg is predeceased by sisters Lois Bedford (Jack), and Greta Langille (Ted), brothers Les (Jean), and Don (Isobel), and brothers-in-law Russell Lennox, Ralph Lennox (Rita), and Norman Lennox. Reg worked as a weather forecaster for many years and was often heard on CFCH/CKAT radio giving his "always accurate" forecasts. He enjoyed sports all of his life and was an avid golfer and curler. He lived in a wonderful neighbourhood in West Ferris for over 50 years and at Nipissing Manor for the last 2 years. The residents and staff at The Manor were a caring and loving second family to Reg and he will be especially missed at the weekly sing-a-long there! Reg loved God wholeheartedly and gave many years of service at First Baptist Church on the rock and has many friends there who will dearly miss him.

The family will be receiving friends at Martyn Funeral Home today from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. And on Tuesday February 15th at First Baptist Church from 1-2 p.m. A Celebration of his life will follow at 2 p.m.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to First Baptist Church Audio-Visual Fund OR Music Fund.

MILLER - John Bourne
Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital on Sunday February 13, 2005, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Kons) of 40 years. Loving father of Don (Leslie) Sawchenko of Calgary, Suzanne Elizabeth of Edmonton, Cheryl Rose of North Bay and John Paul (Cheryl Fetterly) of North Bay. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Alex, Amy and Jenna Rose Sawchenko. Dear brother to Charles (Evelyn) of Lemington, Bruce (Joan) of Kingston, Rita Jane Griffen (Bob) of Sarnia and brother in law Don Smith. Predeceased by sister Lena Smith, Beatrice and Harry Miller. John was an avid player of golf and curling, he enjoyed hunting and loved all sports.

Friends may call at Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7pm. Chapel Service to follow at 7pm.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made in memory of John to the NBGH Building Fund.

FOREMAN - Elizabeth "Betty”
Quietly after a lengthy illness on Tuesday February 15, 2005. Betty, beloved wife of Jack Foreman, in her 82nd year. Loving mother of Joanne Ralph (husband Jonathon), John (wife Janet), and Jennifer Smart (Roland Graf). Proud grandmother of Joshua (Sue), Jason & Jordi Ralph, Brianne (Brad), Gavan & Kaelegh Foreman, and James (Nicole), David (Kelly) & Erin Smart; great-grandmother of Madison and Avary Smart. Predeceased by her brother Jon Douglas.

There will be no visitation or service. A reception in her memory will be held at a later date.

A donation to the North Bay General Hospital Building Fund or charity of choice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.

MARSHALL - Harry Anzac
Suddenly on Monday February 14, 2005 in his 88th year. Husband of the late Fem Marshall (Willis). Also predeceased by his close friend Laurette Empie. Loving father of Bruce and his wife Marilyn of Calgary. Sadly missed by grandchildren Scott (Lori) of Calgary, Craig (Yvonne) of Calgary, Holly Owen (Tom) of Girardville, PA., and Erin Shakleton (Tim) of Calgary and by 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Marshall was predeceased by his brother Robert Marshall and sister Jean Perron.

Friends may visit at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Thursday evening from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 pm in the chapel. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be made.

ORTON - Ruby May
Died at Nipissing Manor on Wednesday, February 16, 2005. Ruby May Claridge, was the beloved wife of Melville "Mel” Orton, she was in her 86th year. Loving mother of Glen of Callander. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Shana and Jason. Dearly loved sister of Wilma, Evelyn, Isla, Shirley, Fred, Garnet and Larry. Remembered by Debbie and by many friends. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Blanche Claridge and by her siblings Elsie, Edna and Lloyd. Ruby had been an active leader of the C.G.I.T (Canadian Girls in Training) at Laurier Avenue United Church and she and, Mel owned and operated Clear Lake Camp in Restoule for 40 years.

Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home (across from City Hall) on Sunday from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 21st, at 11:00 am. Spring interment to follow in the Nipissing Village cemetery.

If desired, donations to the Nipissing Manor Auxiliary or the Alzheimer's Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
