ROUSSEAU - Harold 'Bud'
At Cassellholme, North Bay on Sunday January 9th, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Harold Arthur Rousseau was the beloved husband of the late Elinor Jane Staples. Proud and loving father of James "Jim" of Oakville. Predeceased by his daughter Janice. Bud will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Christopher & Mathew Purdy and James "J.W.", Elinor, Gabriella and Mary Elizabeth. Dear brother of Betty (Frank) George of North Bay, and Barry of Winnipeg. Predeceased by his brother John formerly of Callander and sister Ruth formerly of Toronto. Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) today, Tuesday January11, 2005 from 2-3pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 3pm. Interment at the Forest Lawn cemetery.

BANNERMAN - Jessie
passed away peacefully at the North Bay, on Thursday, January 13, 2005. Jessie Currie, was the beloved wife of the late Delbert George Bannerman, she was in her 92nd year. Loving mother of Terry Bannerman (Marilynn), Douglas Bannerman (Faye) and Jane Wright (Rob). Lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Deidre Bannerman (Tom Martineau) and by her great grandchildren Taylor Thomas and Ethan Terrence Martineau. Beloved by her daughter in law Helen Bannerman. Predeceased by her siblings Alex, Bill, Nellie, Hilda and Agnes. Cremation will take place at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.

A Graveside Service at the Burlington Memorial Gardens on Saturday May 21st, at 11:00 am. Following the service Jessie family will be holding a time of fellowship and refreshment at the home of Jane Wright in Dundas, Ontario.

LITTLE - David James
At his home, Toronto, on Sunday January 16th, 2005, at the age of 43 years. David James Little, formerly of Martin River, the beloved son of Marie Little of North Bay and the late George Little. Lovingly remembered by Debbie Panou. Dear father of Caitlin Panou and Melanie Little of Fort McMurray, Alberta step son of Jay Panou and his wife Mikaela and grandfather of Hailie. David will be sadly missed by his twin brother Doug (Tina) of Powassan, sisters Louise Blanchette and Lynn Morrison (Ross) both of North Bay, and his many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held in Trinity United Church on Saturday January 22, 2005 at 12 noon. If desired donations to a Charity of Choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

Peacefully on Tuesday January 25, 2005 at the North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site. Olive Johnson, beloved wife of Joseph Williams, in her 78th year. Loving mother of Keith and Alan Williams, and mother-in-law of Pat Williams. Dear grandmother of Evan, Brandon, Laura, Eric, and Scott. Predeceased by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. At Olive's request there will be a private family service with cremation. Interment at Forest Lawn cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home 472-8810.

BAINBRIDGE - Kenneth 'Ken'
Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital Scollard Site on Thursday January 27, 2005 while in his 75th year. Kenneth "Ken" Bainbridge was the beloved son of the late Edgar and Tillie (Irwin) Bainbridge. Also predeceased by brothers Lorne and Murray. Loving brother of Beulah Cavanaugh of North Bay, Millie Baldwin (Roy) of Redbridge, Jack (Marion) of Redbridge, Hugh (Lois) of North Bay, Ellen Alderson (Vern) of Redbridge, Edgar (Millie) of North Bay and Jane Fawcette (Bill) of Redbridge. Ken was a long time former resident of Four Mile Lake Road, moving into the Golden Age Center in 1993. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and his many friends, especially the ladies at The Golden Age Center. "Uncle Ken" will also be sadly missed by his great niece Jenny, his adopted niece Amber, and cousin Florence Baldwin. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Saturday January 29th, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. until time for service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium.

QUERY - Anna
After a courageous battle with cancer, and with her daughter by her side, Anna passed away at the North Bay General Hospital on Saturday January 29th, while in her 72nd year. Dearly loved mother of her five adult children, Jacquie Dixon, North Bay, Louise LaCroix of B.C., Brian Query (Laurie Query) of Saskatchewan, Suzanne Query (Tim Trottier) of Callander and John Query of Calgary. Lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren; Tommy, Tashia, Jason, Cass, Scott and Joshua and her great granddaughter Marcedies. Dear sister Dennis Bobbie of Gimli, Manitoba. Predeceased by her parents Nellie and John Bobbie, sisters Marion Larrigan and Sonia Grimshaw and brother John Bobbie. Anna enjoyed an active social life and will be sadly missed by her many friends. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Wednesday February 2nd, from 3:00 p.m. until time for services in the chapel at 5:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium.

WILSON (nee Taylor) - Rebecca 'Bette'
WILSON - Rebecca Jane "Bette" (Taylor) Peacefully while surrounded by her family at the North Bay General Hospital on Sunday January 30th, 2005 while in her 85th year. Bette was the eldest daughter of the late W.F. and Winnifred Roynan. Dearly loved mother of Mark Taylor & his wife Bonnie of North Bay, and Brent Taylor & his wife Wanda of St. Agatha, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer, Greg, Leah, and Heather. Sister of Lou Reynolds of Alexandrea, Virginia. Predeceased by her brother Bill, and sister Edith Torbet. Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday February 2nd from 12 noon until 2:00p.m.Funeral services to celebrate Bette's life will be held in the chapel at 2:00p.m. Cremation will follow with spring interment of her ashes at Terrace Lawn cemetery.

WOOD - Richard
passed away in Wisconsin on Sunday January 30, 2005 after a brief illness. Rick was the son of Norma Wood and the late Len Wood; he was 51 years old. Loving father of Keith (Meagan) of Ottawa and Kirk (Carolyn) of North Bay. Dearly loved by his siblings Carole (John) of Dundas, Ruth Ann (Denis) of Labrador, Brent (Karen) of North Bay and Jim (Angie) of Eldee. Visitation will be at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Monday February 7, 2005 beginning at 10 am followed by a funeral service at 12 noon. A reception will be held at the Davedi Club between 12:30 and 3 pm.

PENNIE - Ian
Surrounded by his family on Thursday February 3, 2005 in his 77th year. Loving father Susan Hutton (Don) of Thamesford, Ont., Sally Rogers (Tim) of North Bay, Mary Jean Udeschini (Marc) of North Bay and Dianne Pennie of Los Angeles. Grandfather of Mark, Jamie, Luke and Lauren. Sadly missed by June, by his sisters Joan Best of Barrie and Dianne Pennie of Toronto and by his nephew and nieces. Ian had a long and distinguished career as a salesman travelling throughout North America. When he wasn't working he spent his time as a member of the Elks Lodge, the A.C.T. and the Granite Club. Ian's passion however, was golf. He was an avid and accomplished golfer and a member of the North Bay Golf and Country Club for many years. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Saturday from 1-4 pm. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 4 pm. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.

Loving father of David of B.C., Diane Williams (James) of Milton, Connie Dolbeck of North Bay and Richard (Gloria) of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandchildren Kelly, Tracey, Mike, Vicki, Tara, Carol, John and Jeff and by great grandchildren Ashley, Taylor, MacKenzie, Alexander, Natasha, Jared and Caden. Survived by his sister Orma Bertin of North Bay, and brothers Orville of California and Rolland of North Bay. Predeceased by his infant son Paul and son-in-law George Dolbeck. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (Across from city hall) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Clouthier at Holy Angels Church on Monday at 10:30 am. MAHAFFY - Margaret 'Marg'
passed away at her home after a brief illness, on Saturday, February 05, 2005. Marg Colaiezzi, was the beloved wife of Orville George Mahaffy, she was in her 81st year. Loving mother of Judy Joron of Penetanguishene, Bryan "Orvy" Mahaffy and his wife Linda of Peterborough and Brandon Mahaffy of Newport, RI. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Amber and Christin and by her great grandson Bailey. Predeceased by her parents Gaetano Joseph Colaiezzi and his wife the former Maria Tiazzani and by her sibling Anne, Dominic, Frank, Mario and Mary. Marg was the dearly loved sister of Pam, Randolph, Albert, Leia, Joe, Sam and Theresa. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Marg and Orville were active members of the North Bay Golden Age Club; she joined when she was 50 years old. She was given a Life Membership from the Golden Age Club for her many years service as Social Convenor and as Vice President. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home (across form City Hall) on Tuesday from 2- 4 and 7 -9 PM and on Wednesday from 9:30 until 11:00 am. A Funeral Services will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 9th at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow the Service.

WOOD - Blanchard 'Woody'
Died on Sunday, February 06, 2005, at the age of 89, with his daughter Marlene at his side at Leisureworld. Loving husband of Albertine LeFrancois for more than 64 years. He will be sadly missed by his children Marlene Millard (fiancé Wayne) Wilbur (Kelly), Gail Dupuis (Jacques), Audrey Hall (Bryan), Patty Sharp (Duncan) and Gary (Heather). Dear papa of Terri-Anne, Cory, Cindra (Jim), Trina, Robyn, Eric (Amanda), Mandy, Laura, Bradley, Tracey, Tammy, Cheri, Cindy, Pamela, Jonathon and Anthony. Great grandpa of Justin, Brody, Mackenzie, Isabella, Owen, Ashley, Adam, Amber, Chelsea, Justin, Owen, Shawnissy, Austin, Mason, Tavia, Ashford, Skylynn, Jessaul, Danell and Anika. Predeceased by his son in law Bob Millard. Dear brother of Logan Wood (Ellen) and Ruth Gillett and son David. Blanchard was known to most as "Woody". He started out as a farmer, then a welder, bulldozer operator, house builder and lastly he worked for the MTO for nearly 22 years. Woody was always fixing or making something, he loved to putter. Blanchard was a man of God who practiced what he preached, and was active at Bethel Gospel. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Tuesday from 2- 4 and 7 - 9:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from the Bethel Gospel Chapel on Wednesday, February 9th, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at the Forest Lawn cemetery.

HAMMELL - Archie
passed away at Cassellholme, Sunday February 6, 2005 at the age of 84. Archie was the beloved husband of Doris (Louden). Loving father of Cheryl Ringler (George) of North Bay. Loving and proud grandfather of Dana, Chad and Wade. Loving great grandfather of Tye and Carson Godin. A special thanks to the staff at Cassellholme second floor North for their care and support. A Private fammily service to be held at the Martyn Funeral Home. No Visitation.

FULCHER - Edith
Peacefully at Leisure World, North Bay, on Friday February 11, 2005, in her 97 year. Beloved sister of Bessie Jackson of Kelowna, B.C., Lillian Groves of Toronto and the late Gertrude Gosnell of Iroquois Falls. Dear aunt of Kathleen Chidley, the late Arthur Jackson, the late Frances Spencer, Helen Eaton, Robert Groves and fondly remembered by their families. Many thanks to all the staff at Leisure World for their constant care, empathy and thoughtfulness to Edith. She will be remembered for her years of dedication to the teaching profession and her tireless efforts for numerous charitable organizations. She travelled extensively throughout the world and was an avid participant in many sports.

In accordance with her wishes, no memorial service will be conducted.

TODD - Zanda
Zenda Woodbourne Todd was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on July 18, 1926. She was the third born and last surviving of the four children of Thomas and Mary (nee McGarrigle) Davison. On April 2, 1947 she married John. A daughter Jacqueline was born on May 9, 1948 and a son Trevor was born on April 22, 1951. In 1953, the family immigrated to Canada where they lived in various communities. A second son, Geoffrey, was born on October 2, 1958. On March 27, 2005, six days before her 58th wedding anniversary, Zenda joined her son Trevor in heaven. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a loyal friend. She loved to dance, read, sew and travel. She is survived by her loving husband John and her son Geoffrey and his wife Mary all residing in North Bay, her daughter Jacqueline (Martschuk) and her husband John residing in Oakville; and three grandchildren Jason Martschuk residing in Calgary, Lindsey Todd residing in Ottawa, and Ian Todd residing in Kingston. She will be greatly missed. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the Martyn Funeral Home at 464 Wyld St. between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2.

Those wishing to do so may make donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation, Critical Care Unit whose staff were most professional and kind to Zenda and her family.
