McINTYRE - Marion
passed away at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Tuesday, December 21, 2004. Marion was the beloved daughter of the late James Steele McIntyre and the former Christina Watson, she was 94 years old. She was also predeceased by her brothers Gordon "Bud” McIntyre and Ronald McIntyre. Marion will be sadly missed by her sister in law Edith McIntyre of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by her nephews Gord McIntyre and his wife Diane of Ottawa, Ron McIntyre of Sarnia and by her great niece and nephew Melissa and Daryl. She loved to travel and during her life-time visited many foreign countries.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Marion’s life will be held in the Spring at Terrace Lawn cemetery.

If desired, donations to Charity of Choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home (across of City Hall).

WOODS - Mildred
After a brief illness at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Tuesday December 21, 2004. Dear wife of the late Norman Woods. Loving mother of Marlene (Alan Jack) of Niagara Falls, Russell (Marlene) of North Cobalt, Diane (Ernie Veley) of Hilliardton, Linda (Bernard Beauchamp) of North Bay, Norma (Barry Diehl) of North Bay, Roy of North Cobalt, Roger of North Bay, Terry (Greg McNeely) of North Bay and Gwen (Denis Pilon) of North Bay. Sadly missed by 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Harvey Lee and her sister Shirley Woods. Predeceased by one grandchild and by her brother Verdon Lee.

Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) today where a memorial service will be held at 2 pm. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.

If desired donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

KIDD - Mary Shaw
Died at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Thursday, December 23, 2004. Mary Shaw Duncan, was the beloved wife of the late Alex Kidd, she was 81 years old. Loving mother of Stuart (wife Laurie) of North Bay, Lorraine MacLachlan (husband Ian) of Owen Sound, Kate Blunn (husband Walter) of Guelph and Larry (partner Crystal Butler) of Borden. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Moira MacLachlan, Faye Harrington/nee MacLachlan (husband Chris), Trevor Alkins (wife Janice), Aaron Alkins, Tyler Kidd, Matthew Blunn, Andrew Butler and by her great grandchildren Heather Ann MacLachlan, Jack Alexander Alkins. Predeceased by her parents William Armstrong Duncan and Lena Shaw, and by her siblings Jack Duncan, Alan Duncan, Margaret Bambrick, Dorothy Barron. Mary will be missed greatly by her family and remembered by all for her care. She and husband Alex were devoted team for their children & their families. Fond memories will live on about their lives together at home and cottaging, which will be celebrated at Mary’s place of birth in Richmond Hill in the spring.

KERR - James Harry 'Jim'
Suddenly at Mount Albert, Ontario on Thursday December 23, 2004 at the age of 59 years. Dear husband of Barbara. Loving father of Jeff (Vicki) of Pickering and Lisa Gayton (Scott) of Mount Albert. Sadly missed by grandchildren Ryan, Holly, Kimberly and Daniel. Survived by many brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 am. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.

BOISSONNEAULT - Bernadette Marie Eloise
At home in North Bay on Christmas Day, 2004 at the age of 84. Bernadette Marie Eloise Vezina, was the dearly beloved wife of Leo Paul Boissonneault (deceased July 16, 2004). married on March the 9th, 1942 Leo & Bernadette had been together for the past 62 years. Proud and loving mother of Louise Dunne (Jim) of Mount Albert, Ont., Bernadette Lang (Al) and Monique Dupuis (Leonard) both of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lisa Tremblay (husband Raymond), Cory Dupuis (wife Sherri), Derek Souliere (Valerie Barber), Jason Souliere (wife Krista) and Jillian Lang, and her great grandchildren Emilie & Gabrielle Tremblay and Logan Dupuis. Survived by her sister Pricile Cormier of Chicoutimi, brother-in-law Gerald Boissonneault of London, and sister-in-law Georgette Donaldson of Windsor. Bernadette was predeceased by her two brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Tuesday, December 28th from 10 am to 12noon and from 1- 3 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be conducted in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 28th at 3 p.m.

Interment to follow in Holy Cross cemetery. Reception will follow in the Martyn Funeral Home Reception Center.

RINGUETTE - Henriette Cecile
(born in Lévis) Died at the North Bay General Hospital, on Monday, December 27, 2004. Henriette Labarre is the beloved wife of Maurice Ringuette, she was in her 80th year. Loving mother of Claude Ringuette and his wife Kathryn of North Bay, Ontario and Louise Grenier and her husband Gilles of Preissac, Quebec. Lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lucille Baril of Lauzon. Predeceased by her sibling's Gemma Hamel, Ludgarde Lageux, Emile Labarre and Frank Labarre.

Her family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 until time for Funeral Services in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM. Cremation with interment of ashes in North Bay. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

BLAHUT - Don (James)
(1949 – 2004) Peacefully surrounded by loving family, Don Blahut passed away at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Sunday December 26th in his 55th year. Beloved husband of Judy and father of Jennifer (David) and Jonathan (Andrea), Don was predeceased by his father Henry Blahut and mother in law Jean MacLean. Survived by his mother May Blahut, father in law Ross MacLean, siblings: Gord (Kathie), Gail (Bob), Neil (Sandy), June, Janice (Alex), Glen (Victoria), Heather (Paul), Moira (Ken), and siblings of wife Judy: Hal, Scott, Susan (Paul) and Sandi (Joe). Nieces and nephews will remember his gentle yet playful nature, love of life, and love for everyone around him. A valued member of the community, Don was President of the Nipissing Trappers Council, and contributed in every way imaginable to minor hockey, ringette, and baseball. Don dedicated his services in the protection of Ontario’s natural resources with the Ministry of Natural Resources. He was the proud winner of the Jules Perron Award, presented by Fur Harvesters Auction for contribution to the promotion of the trapping industry and to the conservation of all fur bearers and their habitat.

Visitation will be held at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Wednesday December 29th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will take place Thursday December 30th at 11 a.m.

As expressions of sympathy, donations will be graciously accepted for the North Bay General Hospital Foundation or the Northeast Regional Cancer Center in Sudbury.

NODDER - Thomas Edgar
(1926-2004) Suddenly on Christmas Day at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre. Tom, beloved husband of Eva of 53 years. Loving father of Richard (wife Sue-Ann), Robert (wife Julie), Ronald (wife Patricia), Russell (wife Christina), and Randall (Nicole). Proud grandfather of Benjamin, Michael & Paul, Danielle, Ryan & Matthew, Katherine & Andrew, and Nicholas & Teagan. Tom was a long-time employee with the MTO.

Suddenly at his home, on Saturday December 26, 2004, in his 69th year. Art was the loving companion of Evelyn McLellan and husband of the late Karen Siemens (Paulsen). BURTON - Elizabeth 'Betty'
Peacefully committed to God's care at Cassellholme in North Bay, on Wednesday December 29, 2004 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by Herb her loving husband of 53 years. Beloved mother of Bill (Ann) of North Bay and Charlie (Joanne) of Victoria, B.C. Dear grandmother of Geoff (Estelle) of Norwood, MA, Mary Beth of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mariah, Amy and Jocelyn of Victoria, B.C. Predeceased by her brother Charlie and sisters Mary and Alice. A memorial service will be held on January 15, 2005 in memory of Betty at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Fonthill, Ontario. Interment to follow at St. Lukes cemetery in Palermo, Ontario. DEMERS - Peter
Suddenly at his home on Saturday January 1st, 2005, at the age of 58 years. Peter Bryan Demers the beloved husband of Carol Anne Thorne. Loving father of Tanya Barr (Richard) of Edmonton. Predeceased by his son Bryan in 1998. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Katelyn and Nicholas. Dearly loved son of Laurette Demers of Niagara Falls. Pete will be sadly missed by his siblings Eugene of Ottawa, Vincent of Guelph, Alfred of Baden, and Ovanna and Patrica both of Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his father Ovilla and brothers Frederick and George. Peter was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces. Following his retirement he served as a Commissionaire with the City of North Bay Parking Authority. Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9p.m. Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Roger Goode. Funeral Services will be held at the Queen of Peace Chapel CFB North Bay on Wednesday January 5th, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.

SLOSS - Brian
Tragically as a result of a snowmobile accident on Tuesday January 4, 2005 at 18 years of age. Loving son of Debbie and Irving Sloss and brother of Andrew (fiance Dana) and Bob all of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandparents George and Dorothy Budd of Huntsville and Willard and Marie Sloss of Spring Bay, Manitoulin Island and by great grandparents Ernest and Alice Doughty of Toronto. Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Brian had the ability to talk to anyone from the smallest baby to an elderly grandparent. His love of life was evident in his wonderful smile and familiar whistle. Whether he was hunting, fishing, snowmobiling or boating, you knew he was enjoying the outdoors, and his time here on earth. Brian will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the auditorium at West Ferris Secondary School on Saturday at 11 am. Brian and his family believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that they will meet again someday in heaven.

GAUTHIER - Gladys
Suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Wednesday January 5, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Dear wife of the late Wilfred A. Gauthier. Loving mother of Mary Pootosh of Toronto, Roy Kingston of Vancouver, Catherine Hancock of North Bay, Ron Gauthier (Leslie) of North Bay, Dave Gauthier of Korea and John Gauthier (Viola) of North Bay. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Julia, Stephanie and Charlie Hancock, and Allannah, Brittnay, Mathew and Sara Gauthier. Survived by her sister Edna Ferguson of Vancouver. A private memorial service for family will be held at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Friday from 10-11 am with a funeral service at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
