PEDERSEN (nee Simonsen) - Margot
It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of Margot at North Bay General Hospital on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Harold Pedersen and loving mother of Per, North Bay; Sven (Marlene), Redbridge; Ingrid, North Bay; Lisa Kramp (Lee), New Liskeard; and Cynthia Stewart (James), North Bay. She is predeceased by her parents Ingnore and Albert, brother Einar and lovingly remembered by her sisters Astrid Vinje, Ruth Fjermedal, Solveig Borgen, and Allis Hansen (Norway), as well as her 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Margot was born in Kristiansand S., Norway, met and married Harold in 1945 during his WWII service with the Royal Norwegian Airforce and moved to his home in Canada in February 1947. Margot devoted her life to making a home for Harold and raising her 5 children. Admired for her artistic talents, sewing, needlework, fine home cooking, and famous birthday cakes, Margot retained her Norwegian customs and passed on many traditions to her children and grandchildren. She was a true lady whose grace and elegance has touched us all and will be a part of us forever. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday at 11 am. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.

SULLIVAN (nee Dedman) - Barbara
It is with sadness that Barbara's family announce her passing on Friday, October 22, 2004, at Nipissing Manor after a lengthy illness, she was 59 years old. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband Garry and son Shane Sullivan. Her brother Jack Dedman and his wife Leone and special Aunt Eunice Phillips will also sadly miss her. Predeceased by her parents Graham and Isabelle Dedman. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Tuesday from 12:30 PM until the Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM.

THOMPSON - Dr. G. Douglas
Douglas Thompson, in his 74th year, in hospital on Monday, October 4th, 2004, after saying goodbye to his loved ones. These include his long time companion Vicki MacDonald, children Shari Kajiura (Dennis), Heather Klein (Larry), Paul Thompson, and Kathryn Wearring (Matthew), grandchildren Kathleen, Peter, Tommy, and amie Klein, Mitchel and Lindsay Kajiura, Bronwyn and Bevan Wearring, Vicki's children Jaye Donaldson, Roni McWilliam, Dan MacDonald (Christa), and grandchildren Paul, Jylian and Joey Mazza, Michael McWilliam, and Briar and Devon MacDonald. Cremation has taken place. The Thompson family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERLA HOME (across from city hall) on Saturday October 30th, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A private family committal service will follow in the Terrace Lawn cemetery.

HAWKINS - Craig Norman
Died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, May 12, 2003. Craig Hawkins, was the beloved father of Shawn and his wife Bobbie-Jo of Sudbury and Craig Jr. and his wife Sabrina of Garson. Lovingly remembered by his grandsons Tyler and Austin. Loving son of Colene Hawkins of Callander, predeceased by his father Norm in November of 2003. Dearly loved by his siblings Tom Hawkins and his wife Debbie and Jane Anne and her husband Rick Dobbs all of North Bay, their children Richard, Tommy Hawkins, and Melinda & Keith Dobbs, and his great niece & nephews Casandra, Jordon, Kendra, Kayla. Craig's family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, May 15th from 10:00 am until time for services in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Cremation will take place at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.

CROGHAN - Dorcas Bertha
Died peacefully, while in her 75th year, on Tuesday, May 11th, 2004, at the North Bay General Hospital with her beloved family at her side. Dorcas Bertha Hall was predeceased by her husband Milton Weber Croghan. Loved and adored by her children, Dorcas will be sadly missed by her daughters Valerie, Nora, and Shelley all of North Bay and Bonnie Stillert (John) of Sault St. Marie, and sons Milton (Frances) and Michael also of North Bay, Barry of British Columbia and Jeffrey of Sudbury. Lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother David (Isabel) and sister Coreen both of Ottawa. Predeceased by brothers Stanley & Bill. A long time employee of the former Civic Hospital, Dorcas retired from the admitting department in 1984 after 15 years of service. The Croghan family will receive friends at Faith Chapel, Delaware Ave. on Friday May 14th from 1:00 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00p.m. Cremation, with interment of ashes in Terrace Lawn cemetery. passed away suddenly at the St.Joseph's Health Centre, in Sudbury, on Saturday, May 1, 2004. Lovingly remembered by his wife Faye. Sadly missed by his sons Stacy (Heather), Corey, by daughters Terri Connely (Derek) all of Michigan, Amanda Turcotte (Pat), Samantha Turcotte of North Bay and grandchildren Amanda, Mitchell and Grace. Survived by his mother Ellen Turcotte. Predeceased by his daughter Christina Ann Turcotte and by his father Philip Charles Turcotte. Dearly loved son in law of Herman & Wilma Jones of Restoule. Remembered by his brother Irvine Turcotte, sisters Deanna Ranger (Rick) of Powassan and Doreen Quirt (Mike) of Orillia and by many other family and friends. Philip drove truck for himself and others over the past 44 years, and took pride in a job well done. He built 2 homes with his family at his side, every step of the way. He was truly Admired by many. Philip believed in giving back to others and his last act was to be an Organ Donor. At Phil's request a private visitation was held at the Martyn Funeral Home. Predeceased by her husband Stan Fraser. Daisy leaves behind her dearly loved and cherished children: Ione Barre (Maurice), Gilman Smith, Karl Smith (Charlene), Dwyla Hartmann (Uwe), Linda Thompson (Jim), Dwight Smith (Lorraine), Blake Smith (Donna) all of North Bay. With her family by her side Daisy went to rest, at home on Saturday April 24, 2004. Also left to mourn, is family friend Marg Goodship, eighteen grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren. Daisy's faith and strong conviction in the resurection promise has for many years been her source of greatest comfort and solace.
