Peacefully at home on Friday, June 20, 2003 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Isadore (Issie) Kardish. Loving daughter of the late Tom and Mariam Bordelay and predeceased by her dear sister Betty Bordelay. Cherished mother of David (Monica), Debbie (the late Ben Baylin), Louis (Muriel) and Ellie (Arie Kamil). Passedaway in hospital June 27, 2003 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest LaBelle (July 2, 1985). Dear mother of Donald (Mary-Ellen) of Edmonton, Jack (Noella), Ken (Florence), Shirley all of Ottawa and Gerry (Linda) of Kitchener. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. passed away suddenly, after a brief illness, on June 19th, 2003 at the age of 76 years. Vince is survived by his beloved wife Marjorie, sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Debby, Don and Wanda and grandsons Kevin and Michael. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Claire and Claudette and close family friend Alix. He was predeceased by his brothers Wilfred, Lawrence and sister Doreen. Peacefully after a two year battle with cancer on June 22, 2003 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late William Norman Laity (Bill). Loving mother of Carol. Dear aunt of Butch, Bill, Susan, Judy and Lloyd. Survived by her brother, Ernest Johnston. Predeceased by brothers, Norman and Roy and her sister, Emma. WW2 Veteran RCASC At the age of 84 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jean worked for Veteran's Affairs for 31 years, retiring in 1977. Loving husband of Grace Upton, cherished father of Margaret (Tom). Dear grandfather of Kimberly and Pamela, great-grandfather of Kyle, Kaitlin and Kieran Goebel and Nathan Hanlan. At Jean's request, there will be no visitation. Cremation to take place with burial at The National Military Section at Beechwood cemetery on Friday, June 20, 2003 at 2 p.m. with reception following at the cemetery. In memory of Jean, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Special thank-you to Dr. S. Tadros, Dr. P. Allard and the nurses at The Palliative Care Unit at The Elizabeth Bruyere Health Center for all their care and kindness to Jean, especially Cynthia and the nurses on 5E.

Carol Alice (nee Low) Liberty - 06/20/2003
Peacefully, at the Hospice at May Court, on Friday, June 20, 2003 after a long, courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by members of her family, at age 69. Carol is survived be her loving husband of 47 years, Laurie , her children Sharon (John) Braun, Randy (Ione) Liberty and Jonathan (Sandra) Liberty, her grandchildren Rose Braun, Evan, Tegan and Anna Liberty, and her siblings Jessie (Marion) Swain, Ron (Jean) Low, Davis "Mort" (Barbee) Low, Ken (Janice) Low and Eric Low. After returning to nursing and doing training with Dr. Balfour Mount at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Carol started the first functional Palliative Care service in Ontario at the Riverside Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her many friends. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry 315 McLeod Street, at O'Connor, on Monday, June 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
