A Change in My Heart
By Katherine Nelson Davis
I am serene, for I have built
A Chapel in my heart
A silent, sheltered citadel
A separate place apart
To which I come in Solitude
To lift my thoughts in prayer
Telling God my troubles
And confiding every prayer
Yes, in this Chapel in my heart
I can renew my soul
For Solitude will bring me peace
And prayer will make me whole
