CAMERON - Everett James
At the North Bay general Hospital on Monday November 8, 2004, at the age of 85 years. Everett James Cameron will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Grace (Nee Hamilton), his beloved wife for the past 58 years. Proud and loving father of Barbara Bryant of North Bay and the cherished grandfather of James Bryant of Ottawa. Everett was a graduate of the University of Toronto. He and Grace were married on August 13, 1946 and the following year they moved to North Bay. Everett came to the city to open the former Tamblyn’s Drug Store, on the corner and Main & Ferguson Streets, and retired over fifty years later when the store closed after several changes in ownership. A dedicated and caring pharmacist he will be remembered by many for his patience with, and interest in, his many customers. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place.

Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time for a memorial service in the chapel at 2:00p.m. Interment of ashes will be in the Knox Presbyterian Church, Oro Medonte Township.

If desired donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Heart & Stroke Fund will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

CHARETTE - Gertrude Mae
Peacefully at Cassellholme on Wednesday November 10, 2004 in her 92nd year. Dear wife of the late Lionel Charette. Loving mother of Anne Kotsilidis (George) of West Hill, Allan Charette (Nicole) of North Bay and Janet Knight (Jack) of Ottawa. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Marjorie Ranger of Pembroke and her brother Harold Miller of Victoria, B.C. Predeceased by 2 great grandchildren and her parents Alvin Miller and Nellie Montgomery. Gertrude was an active member of the Trinity United Church UCW for many years.

Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 am. Interment to follow at North Bay Union cemetery. Many thanks to the 3rd floor staff at Cassellholme for the wonderful care they provided to Gertrude over the past few years.

MILNE - Olga
Suddenly at Nipissing Manor Nursing Home on Friday November 12, 2004 in her 89th year. Dear wife of the late Melvin Milne. Loving mother of Robert (Ingrid), Helen Sheffield (Norm), Keith (Roseanne), Alfred (Wendy), Clifford (friend Roberta), Wayne (Pauline) and Fay McKeever (Wayne) all of North Bay. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Melvin and his wife Margaret, 3 grandchildren, her parents Ernest and Johanna Manderstrom and by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Sunday evening from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11 am. Interment at Terrace Lawn cemetery.

McLURE - Iva Maude
At Cassellholme on Saturday November 13, 2004 in her 99th year. Dear wife of the late Duncan Alexander McLure. Loving mother of Sandra McLure (John) of Victoria, B.C., Charlotte McNabb (Bob) of Orangeville and Darryl (Carol) of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandchildren Jimmy (Wendy), Kerry, Cheryl, Jennifer (Rick), Allison (Bill), Charlene, John, Kevin, Paul (Sabrina) and Chris and great grandchildren Katie and Astrid. Predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters. Iva was a long time member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. A memorial service will be held at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Wednesday at 1 pm. Interment of ashes at the Terrace Lawn cemetery.

SMITH - Dorothy Catharine
Died at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site, on Monday, November 15, 2004. Dorothy Cassidy, was the beloved wife of Russell Smith, in her 71st year. Loving mother of Clifton Smith and his wife Karen of Brampton, Shelley Ann Florence Smith of North Bay and Pennyanne Maj also of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Courtenay and Mitchell Smith. Dearly loved by her siblings Jack Montgomery Cassidy, Anne Neely and her husband Armand and Mary Milicent Audrey Perrier. Dorothy and Russ owned and operated Music City for many years together.

Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services from the Martyn Funeral Home chapel on Friday, November 19th, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the St. John's Anglican cemetery.

Davis - Jaems Kenneth
The Davis family announces with great sorrow the passing of James Kenneth Davis on November 16, 2004, at the age of 55 years. Born in Haileybury, Ontario June 23, 1949. Forever in the hearts of his best friend and loving wife Peggy, sons Kenneth (Kelly) and Jeffrey (Kelly), Chatham, Ont., Derek (Ashleigh), North Bay & daughter Valerie, London. Remembered always by stepchildren Shauna (Vern), Adrienne (Mike) Nikki (Dwayne) and Nathan. Sadly missed by grandchildren Arianna and Meihki and step grandchildren Nicholas, Dakota, Brady, Mikayla, Kylianne and Brody. Predeceased by his father Kenneth William Davis on March 20, 2004 and infant son William Kenneth Davis. He will always be in the hearts and spirits of his mother Bernice Davis, North Bay, and sisters Diana Lynn (Dean Currie) of Hanover and Deborah Anne Beaton. Lovingly remembered by nephews, nieces their children and many good friends. Jim enjoyed his life and always took pride in the outdoors camping, fishing, music, and driving through mountain ranges. He took part in his business "Jimmy D’s Trucking”, only one of a few truckers that has driven from coast to coast in an 18 wheeler. We love you and will be with and miss you always.

McMULLEN - Wilma Winnifred
Past away at Ottawa, on Thursday, November 18, 2004. Wilma Cliff, was the beloved wife of the late William D’Arcy McMullen, in her 81st year. Loving mother of D’Arcy McMullen and his wife Janice of Pembroke, Danny McMullen and his wife Debbie of Brampton, Lynda Harper and husband Bruce of Harper Valley and Erin Faucett (Lance) of Markstay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Cari Cameron, Amanda McMullen, Tara Deitner, D’Arcy K. McMullen, Krista McMullen, Skya Faucett, Jordan Faucett, David Faucett, Danny McMullen, Teagen Martinez, Tamara McMullen, Kelsey McMullen, and by her four great grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Vera Wissler of Stoney Creek. Predeceased by her parents William D’Arcy Cliff and Martha Muncaster and by her brother Jack Cliff.

Visitation for Wilma will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 22nd, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Terrace Lawn cemetery.

JAMIESON - Lawrence Edward
Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital, went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on Friday November 19th, 2004, while in his 84th year. Beloved husband, for the past 58 years, of Marjorie (Kerr). Sadly missed by his brother James "Jimmy", and sisters Eileen Way, Gloria Rowlandson and Eveline Duffy. Predeceased by his brothers Gordon and Wilmer and sister Lavina Perrin. Dearly loved by his many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Sunday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Then on Monday at the Bethel Gospel Chapel, from 1:00 p.m. until time for services at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn cemetery.

ATKIN - Arthur "Art"
Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital on November 20th, 2004 at the age of 74 years. Arthur George Atkin, dearly beloved husband of Shirley Ann Morden. Art and Shirley celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this November. Proud and loving father of Judith Pigeau (Norm), Cathy Strawn (Wayne), Christine Larouche (Pierre) and David "Tony"(Christine) all of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Jason, Jamie, Justin, Shawn, Andrew, Ryan, and Katie. Dear brother of Robert (Donna) of Toronto and Margaret Davies (John) of Wales. Art was a former assistant treasure for the city of North Bay, then left the city to join the faculty of Canadore College to teach accounting. During his teaching career he and Shirley also owned and operated Tidas Book store on Main Street and Tidas ll in the North Bay Mall for many years. Art has been a long-time employee of Wingate Lottery in Northgate Square. He was an active member of the North Bay Duplicate Bridge Club.

Funeral Service will be held at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday November 23rd at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in the spring at North Bay Union cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the North Bay Duplicate Bridge Club w ould be gratefully appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

ADAMS - Jack
At the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Tuesday November 23, 2004 in his 87th year. Dear husband of the late Florence Richards for 62 years. Loving father of Gloria Gould (John) of Chicago and Sandra Whittley (Trevor) of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandchildren Carrie (Bruce Bianco), Kelly (Parker Harrington), Adam Gould and Stephanie (RJ Rabin) and by great grandchildren Cailin, Jackson, Riley, Malcolm, and Miranda. Jack was the owner of Jack Adams Men's wear for many years. He was active in the community as a past director of the Rotary Club of North Bay, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #23, past president of the Kinsmen Club, founding member of the YMCA and past director of the North Bay Chamber of Commerce. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) this evening from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 10:30 am. CLEMENT - Stephanie Lynn
On Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at North Bay General Hospital, Stephanie's courageous seven-year battle with leukaemia came to a peaceful end with her family at her side. Stephanie was determined not to let this terrible disease control her life, and to that end leaves each of us who knew her, weakened but stronger, fearful but seeing clearer, remorseful but more determined to follow her example. Stephanie is the beloved daughter of Jennifer Soper and Stephen Clement and also the dear sister to Marty, Tarron, and Scott. She will be lovingly remembered by her aunts June Kuehl, Colleen Clement, and her Uncle's Bruce Clement, and Jim Soper. Her cousins Chris and Karl Kuehl, Kara Clement, Katie Clement and Bruce Jr and many special friends will also sadly miss her. Stephanie is greatly appreciative of everyone's love and caring especially Nathan Chaylt, Tracy McCarthy, and Yasaman K Garakani's. Stephanie graduated from Scollard Hall, and after completing the Dental Assistant Course at Canadore College joined the Callander Bay Dental Practice. Stephanie was an avid Skier, golfer, and Power Lifter. Despite her illness she lived her life with joy, enthusiasm, and determination. Stephanie travelled to Morocco, Mexico, and recently with her father and sister visited Marty in BC and enjoyed the beauty of the west coast, especially Tofino. She also belonged to the order of the Eastern Star Fidelis Chapter No. 99.

Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Forest Lawn cemetery.

Donations to The Leukaemia Research Foundation or NBGH New Building Fund in memory of Stephanie will be greatly acknowledged by the family.

WILSON (nee Coad) - Evelyne Heddle Wood
Peacefully, on November 19, 2004, Evelyne Heddle Wood Wilson, nee Coad, passed away at Casselholme in North Bay. Evelyne was predeceased by her husband Elmer in 1 992, her brother Laine in 2000, her parents, and a sister in infancy. She is survived by her niece Jessie (Frank) Parker of St. Albert, Alberta, and their children Ken, Heather and Holly; niece Isabel (Ed) Tymofichuk of La Salle, Manitoba, and their children Chris, Karen and Susan; nephew Marvin Coad and his children Desmin, Garth, Cammie and Carmen and several cousins in Ontario and Alberta. Evelyne was born July 2, 1910 in Oakwood, Ontario, the eldest child of Frank and Katherine Coad. As a child she moved with her family to homestead in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and finally to The Pas, Manitoba in 1928. Evelyne obtained her teaching certificate in Winnipeg and taught in rural Manitoba during the 1 930s. Later, she moved to Rouyn, Quebec where she met her husband Elmer; they were married in l947. Evelyne worked as a school secretary for many years, eventually retiring to North Bay with her husband in 1975. They were both active in Omond Memorial United Church and enjoyed social activities such as square dancing, cards and visiting with their neighbors. After Elmer's death, Evelyne moved to Barclay House, and following a series of strokes, to Cassellholme where she remained until the time of her death. The family appreciates the loving care she received during her last years.

Visitation will take place Wednesday evening, November 24 at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Marlyn Funeral Home, North Bay, on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at 3 p.m. A reception at the home will follow in the funeral home receptions center.
