McLEOD - MYRTLE
Peacefully on Friday July 18, 2003 at Cassellholme. Myrtle, beloved wife of the late Donald McLeod, in her 103rd year. Predeceased by her daughters Helen McLeod, Dorothy Belanger, and Donalda Bush. Survived by her her son-in-law Armand Belanger. Dear grandmother of Maureen O’Reilly (husband Thomas), Richard Belanger (wife Sharon), Maurice Belanger (wife Ellen), Paul Belanger (wife Catherine), Jim Bush (wife Therry), and Brian Bush (wife Mary Lorra). She will be sadly missed by her dear friend Delores Payette (husband Darryl), and her many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Terrace Lawn cemetery. A donation to the Salvation Army or charity of choice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

RALPH - William John "Jack"
At the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Tuesday, July 15, 2003. He was a devoted husband to Lois Tiffin for over 50 years. Loving father of Bill Ralph of St. Catherines, Bruce Ralph (wife Sue) of Sudbury and Janet (husband Walter Gerolimon) of London. Sadly missed by grandchildren Joel and Alison. Predeceased by his parents George Frank and the former Harriet Bartlett. Survived by his brothers George (wife Margaret) and Jim (Joyce) Ralph and sisters Harriet Ralph and Maude Moyle. Jack worker as a general contractor in Toronto and North Bay for his own company "Jack Ralph Construction”. He was a Past President of the North Bay Home Builders Association. A lover of all sports, he especially liked Baseball and Hockey. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 8 PM. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium, on Tower Drive.

Died at North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Monday, July 14, 2003. Jessie Anne Hill, was the beloved wife of Alexander Jarvis Bain and the former William "Bill” Martin, in her 82nd year. Loving mother of Charlie Martin and his wife Julie, June Johnson and Shirley and her husband Larry MURPHY all of North Bay. Predeceased by her son Howard, her sister Bessie and brothers Howard, Don, Jim and Sid. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Richard, Roxanne, Howard, Stephen, Stephanie, Marjorie, Wesley, Grant and great grandchildren Star, Jamie, Kalie, Quinn, Meghan, Christopher, Barry, Tyler, Amber-Lynn, Jessie, Bryer, Johnny and Jimmy. Dearly loved sister of Bob. Resting at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Wednesday from 2- 4 and 7-9 PM. At the Heart Institute in Ottawa on Sunday July 13, 2003. Ardelle Miller (Sanderson) at the Age of 77, beloved wife of the late Douglas C. Miller (1994). Loving mother of Rick (Fran) of North Bay and Janis (Rick Hall) of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by 5 grandchildren, Scott, Lindsay, Jeff, Andrea and Jill. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 2 pm. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium (Tower Dr.). Interment of ashes at the North Bay Union cemetery.

ROBERTS - Edna K.
At the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Wednesday July 16, 2003. Edna K. Coty beloved wife of the late George Anderson Roberts, who predeceased her in 1993. Proud and loving mother of Greg of North Bay and Alex (Christine) of Ottawa. Edna will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jason, Nathan, Karly and Colin. Predeceased by her sisters Sharie Horn, Dianne Christensen, Olive and Lila Coty. Edna served as a WREN (Women's Royal Canadian Navy Service) during the Second World War. After moving to North Bay she worked for a time in the Civil Service at CFB North Bay then for the next 13 years for H.E. Brown Supply. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across form city hall) on Thursday evening from 7 - 9 p.m and on Friday morning from 10 – 11am. Funeral services will follow in the chapel on Friday at 11 am. Interment at the Forest Lawn cemetery.

RANDALL - Alan Seymour
With great sorrow and sadness the Randall family announces the passing of Alan Seymour Randall on July 16, 2003 in his 76th year. Loving husband of Josephine Randall for 55 years. Predeceased by son Robert Bruce Randall. Will be sadly missed by his children, Clifford of Kamloops, B.C., Dianne of North Bay, Wendy (husband JoePetten) of Orillia, Jim (wife Fiona) of Nanaimo, B.C., Derrick of Vancouver, B.C., Denise (husband Gerard Bazin) of North Bay, and Greg (wife Lisa) also of North Bay. Grandpa's memory will be cherished by grandchildren Melissa, Rusty, Curtis, Jennifer, Kathy, Joseph, Benjamin, Chantel, Dillon, Caitlin, Jenna, Michaela, and Alyssa. Alan joined the Canadian Military to be part of World War II. He became part of the Air Force and served 35 years rising to the rank of Major. He was Commanding Officer of CFB Kamloops, then posted to North Bay where he retired. Alan was very active in the community as he was a long-time member of the North Bay Rotary, Legion, Air Force Association 422 Wing, and St. Brice's Anglican Church as a layman. Vistation at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Services from St.Brice's Anglican Church on Saturday July 19th, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St.John's Anglican cemetery.

BROUSE - "Les" Leslie James Morgan
At home on Tuesday, July 22, 2003. Les Brouse, was the beloved husband of Patricia "Pat" Hall and the former Melba Wessa, in his 83rd year. Loving father of Judi Brouse of Mexico, Dale and Bonnie Brouse of North Bay, Jan Brouse of Mexico and step-father of Ken Fagan of Virginia, Dan Fagan (Donna) of Alliston and Carolyn Fagan of Innisfil. Lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Kristy and step grandchildren Kyle and Corbie. Dearly loved brother of Marvin (Isabel), Marion (Ken Tipper), Easdale "Mic" (Isabel), Terry (Jean), Sheldon (Dodi) and Faye Brouse. Les will fondly be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and the Hall family. Les worked in construction for many years and owned and operated L.J. Brouse Construction Ltd. for 11 years in North Bay, Sudbury and Huntsville. He was devoted to his family and community; he was a 32nd degree member of the Nipissing Masonic Lodge A.F.&A.M. # 420, and member of both the Scottish and York Rite, Past President the Rorab Shrine Club, for 16 years Rameses Ambassador, Emeritus 2 years for the Rorab Club, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23, he was a Past President of the North Bay Granite Club and a director with the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce's. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday July 26th, at 11:00 am. Les's ashes will be interred at the North Bay Union cemetery.

GREASON - Mildred Frances
Died peacefully at the age of 88 years, at Cassellhollme, on Wednesday July 23rd, 2003 with her family at her side. Mildred Frances (nee Pridham) was the beloved wife of the late Harry M. Greason who predeceased her in 1987. Proud and loving mother of Jack (Eileen), Myrn Grimster (Donald), Grant, and Denny (Wendy Porter), all of North Bay. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Don Grimster, Kathy Belanger, Tina Chapman, and Ken, Tyler, Ben, and Jennica Greason, and her ten great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Harold of Russelldale she was predeceased by her brothers Ross, & Floyd and sisters Verna, Rowena, Margaretta and her twin Laurene. A dedicated and loving mother Mildred was also a long time member of Omond Memorial United Church. She had been an active member of the Rebekah Lodge # 152 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 in North Bay as well as a member in both the lodge and legion in Port Rowan. The Greason family will receive friends in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Saturday evening from-7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday July 27th at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn cemetery on Monday.

KEUHL - David
At the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site on Friday, July 25th, 2003. David Keuhl was the beloved husband of Linda Deschamps, in his 64th year. Loving father of David and his wife Julia of Indiana, Dianna and her husband Jason Seguin of Peterborough and Deborah and her husband Jedadiah Lacroix of China. Dearly loved son of Basil Keuhl of Pembroke. Lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren Katelyn, Rachel, Sarah, Emma, Darian, Adam and Jacob. Predeceased by his mother Lillian and by his brother Wayne. Before retiring, David taught in the Nipissing District for a number of years, most recently at the Marshall Park School. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) today from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services from the Gateway Pentecostal Church on Tuesday July 29th, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow Wednesday in the Mainsville cemetery.

GAGNON - Ella
Died at Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Center on Sunday, July 27, 2003. Ellan Novakuske was in her 89th year. Loving mother Arlene Howe of British Columbia, Yvonne Montgomery of Callander, Gordon Gagnon of Burlington, Richard Gagnon of Toronto and Douglas Gagnon of North Bay. Predeceased by her daughter Noreen falconer and by her brother Jacob. Lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be celebrated by Father Ron Myers at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 318 Main Street West, Trout Creek on Thursday, July 31st, at 2:00 PM. Cremation with interment of ashes in the family plot in Trout Creek.

RUEL - Michel
It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the sudden death of 37 year old Michel Ruel, on Saturday July 26th. He was the faithful husband of Debbie (Lajeunesse) of 9 wonderful years. Proud father of Kyle (15), Michela (6) and James (5). He is survived by his father Victor Ruel of Timmins and his mother Linda Dubeau-Pellegrino of California; and 3 brothers Rev. Peter Ruel (Tara) of Englehart, Chris Ruel (Val) of North Bay and Derek Ruel of Timmins. Mike was born and raised in Timmins. He was a Service Technician who was very hardworking and dedicated to his job. Mike will be missed dearly by all his co-workers, piers and friends at Minesteel Fabricators. He will be greatly missed by Gil & Doris Lajeunesse (his in-laws) and his stepmother Shelagh Proulx. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Jim MacDonald at Corpus Christi Church on Thursday July 31st, at 11:00 am.

MURPHY - Edward Henry
The family of Edward Henry Murphy wish to announce his passing on July 23rd, 2003 at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site. Dad was bom on March 1, 1922 to Mary and William Murphy. He married Gladys Joan Paterson with whom he raised their two children Bill (Rita) and Janie (Bob). Left to moum his death are his grandchildren, Melissa, Kristen, Kurt, Kaija and Ian. He is also sadly missed by his companions Maggie, his dog, and Perkie, his cockatiel. Dad spent his entire married life on King Street in North Bay and made many friends over the years. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a clerk for 43 years at the CPR station in North Bay. A special joy in his life was his work as a crossing guard escorting children across the comer of McIntyre and John Street. His younger married years were spent fishing with his son, and camping with his family. He was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed his night out with the boys. He was a member of a jamming group that got together once a month to play musical instruments. He was a member of the CPR Retirement club. One of his passions was accounting, and he also looked after tax returns and credit union business. In the latter part of his life he became fascinated with computers and often sent humorous e-mails with an Irish flavour to his family. Dad was predeceased by his mother and father, his two aunts and his wife of 54 years. The family would like to express their gratitude to Rob and Fay Wood for their untiring support and the nurses and doctors of Nipissing General Hospital who comforted dad in the last days of his life. Friends and relatives are invited to the viewing on Friday July 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall). The funeral service will be held at St. Brice's Anglican Church on Saturday July 26th at 2 pm.

ROBINSON - Shirley
passed away comfortably at her home in Redbridge, on Tuesday, November 2, 2004. Shirley Robinson, was the beloved wife of Donald "Joe" Edmonds, she was 46 years old. Loving daughter of Faye Robinson (nee Wall) and the late John Robinson. Dearly loved sister of Barry Robinson and his wife Carol of Timmins and Bert Robinson and his wife Bev of Redbridge. Predeceased by her sister Brenda. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Jason, Jonathon (Sandra), Julia, Charla and Tawnia. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) today from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9:00 PM. Funeral services from the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 5th at 11:00 am. SALIDAS - Elsie Margaret
passed away peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Monday, November 8, 2004. Elsie Jones, was the beloved wife of Michael Salidas. She was in her 73rd year. Loving mother of Debbey and her husband Peter Bentley of North Bay, Cathy and her husband Farrell Bertrand of Chelmsford and David Salidas and his wife Claudia of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren April, Bryan and Luis-Michael. Dearly loved by her brother Wilfred Jones and his wife Ethel of Allumette Island, Quebec and by her sisters in law Beatrice Jones of Pembroke, Irene Pappas of North Bay, Lillian Sharrard of Toronto and Beatrice Williams of Sarnia.. Predeceased by her siblings Lennox, Albert and Elwood Jones, Louella and her husbands Bill McKinnon and Joe Fortune, and Theresa and her husband Ken McParland.

Elsie’s family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home (across from City Hall) on Wednesday from 2 –4 and 7 – 9:00 PM. Funeral services from St. John’s Anglican Church on Thursday, November 11th, at 1:30 PM. Cremation will follow the service.

SKELLERN - Allen
Life long North Bay resident Allen "Al” Skellern died at the North Bay General Hospital on Monday November 8th, 2004. Allen Skellern was the beloved husband of Barbara Hanneson whom he married on July 18, 1955. They celebrated their 49th anniversary this past July. Proud and loving father of his stepson Brian Baldwin (Melba), of North Bay, and son Christopher Skellern of Brampton, he was predeceased by his stepdaughter Lynn Baldwin – Lachapelle. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jon & Jennifer Baldwin, & Cynthia & David Lachapelle, and his great grandchildren Lisa, Stephanie, & Brooke. Sadly missed by his sister Jessie Banks (Kendrick) of North Bay and their children Janet Villeneuve (Ronald) of Lively, Gladys Banks Bryer (Keith) & Rae Fournier (Robert) both of North Bay, Bill Banks (Angela) of Tilsonburg and Lee Chorley (Les) of Jasper, Alberta. Son of the late Ernest & Minnie Skellern, Allen was born in North Bay on June 18, 1921. A veteran of the RCAF he attended the University of Toronto after the war then returned to North Bay. He worked as an accountant for F. R. Patterson Plumbing prior to joining the staff at the Civic Hospital. He held several positions there, from Personal Director to Controller. He left the hospital to become the Manager of the Joint Hospital Laundry, retiring in 1986. A long time member of the Rotary Club of North Bay Allen was also very active in the International Association for Hospital Textile Management, of which he served as President in 1984 -85.

Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in St. Andrew’s United Church on Friday November 12th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes in the North Bay Union cemetery.
