TRESNAK - Rudolph Victor
Died of Korsekoph Syndrome at Nipissing Manor Nursing Home, on Tuesday, November 12, 2002. Rudolph Victor Tresnak, beloved husband of the late Muriel Joan, in his 84th year. Loving father of Valerie, Karen, Gregory, Mark and Randy. Predeceased by his son Joseph William Tresnak. Lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday, November 15th from 2:00 PM until time for the Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3:30 PM. Rudolph’s ashes will be interred with his wife in Toronto.

ETCHES - Timothy Paul
Diee suddenly at Corbeil, on Saturday, November 9, 2002. Timothy Paul Etches, was the beloved son of Alan Robert Etches and the late Patricia Kelly, in his 43rd year. Loving brother of Bob and his wife Linda of Corbeil, Anne South of Orillia, Donna and her husband Brian Eastop of Kinburn, Joe (Sandi) of North Bay, Patrick and his wife Christine and Alan Jr. and his wife Sheila both also of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 13th, at 2:00 PM. Cremation with interment of ashes in the family plot at Forest Lawn cemetery.

If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or to a Charity of Choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

ROWE - Robert John "Bob"
Peacefully at North Bay General-Scollard Site, on Monday November 11, 2002. Bob Rowe, beloved husband of Phyllis (Brown) in his 84th year. Born in North Bay on September 25, 1919 Bob was the son of the late Lewis Rowe and his wife the former Sarah Benson. He will be sadly missed by his sister Vera Frechette and her husband Jack, and his brother in law Charles E. Brown, all of North Bay. During the war Bob served for four years overseas with the Royal Canadian Medical Core. Following his discharge, in 1946, he returned to North Bay and worked for a time for Cochrane Dunlop Hardware Bob then joined the staff of the Parking Authority, for the City of North Bay, where he served as a meter man over 21 years. Proud of his Legion membership Bob was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #23. Bob & Phyllis were married in St. John's Anglican Church on September 7, 1953 and have been active members there ever since. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John's Anglican cemetery.

A donation to the charity of choice, or St. John's Anglican Church would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

ETCHES (nee Turcott) - Sandra
passed away Sunday November 10, 2002 with her family by her side. She was in her 60th year. Predeceased by her father Raymond and her mother Muriel Turcott of Highway 17E North Bay. She will be sadly missed by her children Richard (Shirley), Laurie Bell (Steven), Raymond, Bobby (Donna) and granchildren Jessica, John, Katie, Samantha and Kelly. Also missed by her sister Joan and niece Melissa. Sandy requested to be cremated with no service.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

HILL (nee Costello) - Mary Carol
passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on Lake Obabika on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at the age of 54. She will be greatly missed by her husband Alex Matthias. Cherished daughter of Mary and the late Harold Costello. She will be sadly missed by her children Michael Hill (Nancy), Mary Agnes McNaughton (Josh), Andrea Hill, David Hill, Brendan, Christopher, Justin, Carol Lee Bivand, and her stepdaughter Natasha Matthias. Predeceased by her son Cody Bivand. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Aidan, Liadan, Maia, and Finnlay, . Dear sister of Paul (Pamela), Brian (Kathy), and John (Lisa) Costello, and Claire (Bob) Corupe. Resting at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday, November 15 from 12 noon until time for funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm. Cremation to follow the service.

MILNE - S. Myra
After a lengthy battle with cancer Myra passed away at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the age of 44 years. Shirley Myra Paterson was the beloved wife of Ronald "Ron" Milne and the proud and loving mother of Warren and Tracey both at home. Dear daughter of Shirley Paterson of North Bay and the late Warren Paterson. Myra will be sadly missed by her brothers Rob (Karen Thiel), Michael (Angie) and Tim (Kim) all of North Bay. Dear daughter in law of Weir Milne, Bessie and Lorraine Milne, also all of North Bay. Dear sister in law of Weir Milne, Jr. (Wendy) of Burlington, Shirley Pratt (Brian) of Gravenhurst and Shelly Milne of North Bay. Myra was a long time employee of Wingate Lottery in Northgate Square. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in St. John's Anglican Church, Main Street, on Tuesday, November 12th, at 10:30 am. Cremation with interment of ashes in the family plot, at St. John's Anglican cemetery.

TOOLE - Ruby Caroline
Suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Saturday, November 9, 2002. Ruby Caroline Simpson, was the beloved wife of Donald William Toole, in her 77th year. Loving mother of Brad and his wife Leslie of Collingwood, Sherry and her husband Jim Butti, Jodi and her husband Ronald Martin and Kathy and her husband Frank Forth all of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer, Daryl, Haley and Tammy. Dearly loved sister of Emmeline McEwen of Parry Sound, Mae Tracy of Sault Ste. Marie and sister in law of Ralph Toole of St. Catherines. Predeceased by her parents George and Caroline Simpson and by her brothers and sisters Arley, Jim, Edna, Frances, Bill, Burton and Doug. Ruby served as a WREN with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. Visitation will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home this evening from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and Tuesday from 11:00 am – 1:00 PM. Funeral Services from the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 12th at 1:00 PM. Cremation with interment of ashes in the family plot in Dunchurch.

THORN - Dr. Elizabeth Ann, M.A., Ph.D.
Professor with the Faculty of Education Nipissing University, retired. Died peacefully after a sudden illness, at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, on Friday November 8th, 2002 while in her 73rd year. Dr. Elizabeth Ann Thorn, M.A., Ph.D., retired professor of the Faculty of Education, Nipissing University, was a well loved and much respected member of the Education Community throughout Ontario. Dear sister of Catherine Bray of Port Perry, Jack Thorn of North Bay and Marion Geddes of Ottawa. Predeceased by her parents the late George and Euphemia Thorn. A memorial service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel, 464 Wyld St., on Monday evening, November 11th, at 7:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the funeral home reception center.

DOXSEE - Robert Arthur "Bob”
Died at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Thursday, November 07, 2002. Robert Arthur Doxsee was predeceased by his beloved friend Lucille Morin, he was 75 years old. Dearly loved by his brother Harvey Doxcee and his wife Janet of Bracebridge. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Lila Agnes Doxcee. His loving family at his " Favourite Spot”, the Fraser Tavern, will especially miss him. Bob worked as a Custodian for 42 years, with the Nipissing Board of Education. He was famous for his Step-Dance Calling, which he was still able to do at his 75th birthday party. He was also an avid Dart player and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 am until time for services in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment North Bay Union cemetery. In remembrance of Bob’s famous boutonniere, his family requests flowers be purchases from the Rosebowl.

LaCHAPELLE (nee Baldwin) - Lynn
Peacefully on Sunday Novemeber 3, 2002 at North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site. Lynn, loving mother of Cynthia and David Lachapelle. Beloved daughter of Barbara Skellern (husband Allen) and Dr. James C. Baldwin (wife Olive). Proud grandmother of Stephanie and Lisa Morris and Brooke Lachapelle. Dear sister of Brian Baldwin, and Chris Skellern. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at North Bay Union cemetery.

CLARK - Sharon Lynn
Passed gently into God's hands at the North Bay General Hospital, on Monday, May 12, 2003, with family at her bedside. She was the beloved daughter of George and Nancy Clark. Devoted mother of Susan Dunn, Kathryn Jordan and Ian Clark. She was the loving and proud Grandma of Cory, Tyler, Joseph and Valerie. Dear sister of David and Barry and his wife Elaine. She was a special aunt to Samantha. Her Special love, comfort and devotion to family will be forever missed. At Sharon's request a private family service will be held.

passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Monday, May 19, 2003. Pat White of Barrie in her 68th year, was the beloved wife of P.D. White of Barrie. Dear mother of David & his partner Brian of Toronto and Stacey Dinkel and her husband Darren of North Bay. Predeceased by her son James. Loving grandmother of Cassandra, Megan and Alyssa. Also survived by sister Betty Moore & her husband Owen of London. Special aunt of Susan & Stephen and Linda pre-deceased. Friends may call at the Jennett Chapel of the McClelland & Slessor Funeral Home (Barrie) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 21st, at 1:30 p.m. Then to the Martyn Funeral Home in North Bay for a service on Thursday, May 22nd, at 1:30 p.m. Interment at the Forest Lawn cemetery.

Suddenly on Wednesday May 28 at North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site. Albert, beloved husband of Patricia, in his 73rd year. Loving father of Robert (Wife Jill), Brian (wife Rhonda), Beth Driver, and Vince (wife Tracy). Proud grandfather of Amber, Kayla, Jordan, Cody and Chad. Dear brother of Betty Nesbitt (husband Andy), Gloria Lavigne (husband Mike), and Roger Driver (wife Tina). He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents J.M. (Gus) and Marie Wright and by her brothers Bobby, Ronnie and Donny. Loved sister of Edward (wife Ruth) and Helen.
