ADAMS - Dorothy "Dot"
Suddenly at Toronto General Hospital on Friday January 24, 2003. Dot, beloved wife of the late Gerald Adams. Loving mother of Donna Gauvreau (husband Guy), Timothy (wife Debra), Gregory (wife Natalie), and Janice Cornell (husband Barclay). Proud Nanny of Jason (April), Brooke and Hannah, and Andrew and Josh Cornell. Great-grandmother of Caitlynn and Tabetha. Dear sister of Gert, Lorne, Don, Jim, Ruby, Harry, Aggie, and Ron. Predeceased by her granddaughter Krysta Adams, and her siblings Eliza, Dave, Gordon, and Ken. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME today from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and again on tuesday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held at Ommond Memorial United Church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn cemetery.

A donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

RYAN (nee Yandon) - Lorna Jean
Passed peacefully at Cassellholme on Tuesday, January 21, 2003, in her 88th year. A long time Teacher and Principal in North Bay. Predeceased by her husband Ed, her daughter Dale and by her brother Bob Yandon (Lorraine). Survived by her son Pat (Mariette) of Kingston. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Mical Palumbo (Pat) of Windsor, Steven Herman (Sue) of Toronto, Leah Kraft (Gary) of Switzerland, Randy Herman (Shelly) of North Bay, Russell Ryan (Cathy) of Kingston, Sheelagh Ryan also of Kingston. Lovingly remembered by her 7 great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Sunday, January 26th, from 1:00 until time for services in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM. Spring interment in North Bay.

DUFOE - Irma
After a short illness at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Sunday January 19, 2003 in her 68th year. Loving mother of Lisa St. Louis and grandmother of Adam Crites. Sadly missed by her sisters Jean Gleason and Veronica Bailey. Loving aunt of Chad and Kelly Gleason and John and Melissa Bailey. Remembered by great nieces and nephews. Special cousin to Shirley King. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Mary Dufoe and by her brothers Lorne and William. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Spring interment at St. Anne’s Catholic cemetery in Mattawa.

MORRIN - Agnes Emma
Died at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site, on Tuesday January 14, 2003. Agnes Emma Nichols, was the beloved wife of the late Merrell Frederick Morrin, in her 97th year. Loving mother of Glen and his wife Dianne of Chatham. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lisa Roberts and her husband Richard of Mississauga, Michael Morrin and his wife Karen of Brampton and by her great granddaughter Emily Brooke. Dearly loved sister of Queenie Buchanan of North Bay and Aunt to Margie and Charles Colley, Stan and Jean Nichols both of North Bay and Allan and Barb Barton of Van Lake Hills. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 11:00am. Cremation with interment of ashes in the family plot at Van Lake Hill. .

RAYNER - Elsie
Peacefully at Nipissing Manor Nursing Home on Wednesday January 8th, 2003. Elsie, beloved wife of the late Gerald John Rayner (April 27, 1978), in her 78th year. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (464 Wyld St. across from City Hall) on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service will follow in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. All are welcome to a luncheon in the funeral home reception lounge following the service. Spring interment at Terrace Lawn cemetery.

KING - Dr. Lloyd Joseph (D.D.S.)
Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site, on Tuesday, January 7, 2003, in his 70th year. Lloyd Joseph King, was the beloved husband for 45 years of Sally Evelyn Farlinger. Proud father of Bill King (Camille) of North York, Bob King (Sandra) of North Bay, Michael King (Lyn) of Ottawa, Jim King (Cheryl) of Toronto, Barbara Hawton (Kevin) of North Bay and Nancy King of Wilmington, North Carolina. Loving grandfather of Josh, Nick, Travis, Shelby, Allie, Salessa, Emily, Gregory and Elizabeth Anne. Dearly loved brother of Lillian Clemmens, Marjory Dingwall and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Rose Alba King and by his brother Bill King. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held from the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 10th, at 11:00 am. Interment at the Forest Lawn cemetery.

ARMSTRONG - Thomas Harold
Suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Monday January 6, 2003 at the age of 82 years. Dear husband of Muriel. Loving father of Jeffrey (Debby) of North Bay, Nancy Prashaw (John) of North Bay and Robert (Karen) of Carlyle, Ont. Sadly missed by grandchildren David, Kent, Lianne, Lee, Philip, Lindsay, Marci and Rory and by great grandchildren Logan, Willow and Cole. Harold served on the HMCS Orillia for 5 years, with the Ontario Provincial Police for 12 years and worked for the Insurance Crime Prevention Bureau for 25 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club of North Bay and a director of the Laurentian Ski Club. After retirement Harold enjoyed being a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 23 and the OPP Veterans Association. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm in the Martyn Funeral Home chapel (across from City Hall). Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium, Tower Dr.

Suddenly at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Thursday January 2, 2003 in his 58th year. Dear husband of Brenda (nee Paul). Loving father of Heather Corrigan (Steve) of Sudbury and Sharon O'Connor (Steve) of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandchildren Callie and Morgan O'Connor. Predeceased by his parents Dolly and Howard Caverly of North Bay. Brother of Joan Caverly (Maureen Garland) of Toronto, Debbie Leclair of North Bay, Nadine Paterson (Bob) of Chesley, Ont., Kathleen Silver (Larry) of Toronto, Kirk (Brenda) of North Bay, Scott (Stacy) of North Bay and Rosemary Savoie (Pierre) also of North Bay. At Garry's request there will be no visitation. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. .

KNIGHT - Jean
passed away at NBGH on Friday, November 29, 2002. Jean Knight, was the beloved wife of the late William George Knight, in her 83rd year. Loving mother of Bill (Dorothy) of Halifax, Nancy Lewis (John) of North Bay and Jamie of St Thomas. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren John Lewis (Cheryl) of Brampton, Greg Lewis (Marni) of Pickering, Bill Knight of Mississauga and Elisa Knight of London.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Williams Funeral Home (St.Thomas) on Wednesday, December 4th.

ZWICKER - Ronald Eugene
At North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Tuesday November 12, 2002. Predeceased by his wife Lois in 1980 and son Ron in 1994. Sadly missed by daughter Debbie in Hamilton, and granddaughter Peg in Fenelon Falls. Born in Halifax April 7, 1923 Gene joined the RCAF in 1942 serving in Bomber Command, Path Finders Group, and Special Operations Squadrons. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1944 during his second tour of operations. Upon release in 1945 Gene attended Dalhousie U where he received his BSc in 1948. After a year with Johns-Manville in Asbestos, PQ he rejoined the RCAF. A graduate of the NATO Defence College in Paris, he served eight years in Europe and at many units across Canada. After 30 years service he retired in 1974 with the rank of Wing Commander (Lt Col). Gene was member of Br 23 RCL, 406 Sqn. RCAFA, and many squadron organizations in the UK. At his request, immediate cremation with no services.

In lieu of flowers, donations to charitable organizations preferred.
