Peacefully on Monday March 24, 2003 at North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site. Ruth, beloved wife of the late Fred James, in her 82nd year. Loving mother of Ken (wife Cynthia) of Ottawa, and Valerie Plumb (husband Kirk) of North Bay. Proud grandmother of Cody, Nicole, and Luke. Died at the North Bay General Hospital, McLaren Site on Monday March 24, 2003. Gertrude Alexandra "Babs" Robertson Swartz, was the beloved wife of the late John Mastin Swartz, in her 82nd year. Loving mother of Carolyn Peters and her husband John of Sudbury. Dearly loved sister of Helen Hawkins of Waterloo and Aunt of Peter Hawkins and his wife Judee of Ottawa. She was the dear sister-in-law of Coni Swartz of London. Predeceased by her parents Dr. Hatton Alexander Robertson and his wife the former Gertrude Marie Aston, by her brother Jack Robertson and by her sister Gwendolyn Westbrook. At the North Bay General Hospital on Saturday March 22nd, 2003, at the age of 65 years. Shirley Anne Anthony was the beloved daughter of the late Frederick & Viola Cross. She will be sadly missed by her dear sister Carol Inches (Lloyd) of Guelph, her nieces and nephews John Marshall (Monique), Lynda Marshall, and Steve Marshall (Heather) all of North Bay, and her eight great nieces and nephews. DELORME - Alfred "Fred"
Died after a lengthy and courageous battle, at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site on Monday, March 24, 2003. Fred, in his 93rd year, was the beloved husband of Bertha Ouellette, . Loving father of Delores Brunton of North Bay, Lorraine Wilkes and her husband Barry of King City and Linda Fleming and her husband Dave of North Bay. Predeceased by his daughters Yvette Hodgson (and her husband Bill Sr.) and Jean Delorme. Dearly loved grandfather of Jim Hodgson (wife Judy), Bill Hodgson (wife Kim), Brian Hodgson (wife Karen)Tracey Wilkes, Bob Wilkes (wife Eileen), Warren Wilkes (wife Liana), Erica-Lin Gillespie (husband Rob), Tyler Fleming and by his 10 great grandchildren. Dearly loved brother of Theodore "Ted" Delorme of North Bay and Reina Chatigny of Valleyfield, Quebec. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary Delorme and by his brothers Michael "Mack", Adhea, Rene, William "Bill" and by his sister Eleonore Sauve. Former long time ONR Employee At Leisure World Care Giving Center on Sunday March 23, 2003, while in his 65th year.Proud and loving father of Michael (Holly Boudreau) of North Bay. Predeceased by his daughter Jennifer. Also survived by his former wife Cecile Beck, his brother William and sister Joyce. Norm was a former Chief Clerk at the Ontario Northland Railway, retiring in 1996 after 38 years of service. An avid pool player he had a great sense of humour and loved to tease. He will be sadly missed by his family and fiends. Born April 20, 1944 at St. Catharines, passed away peacefully at home on Friday March 21, 2003. Dearly devoted and loving husband of Deanna (Cronin) for 36 years. Proud father of Steven (Katie) of Ottawa and Brian of Pickering. Dear grandfather to Keegan. Loved son of Beverly Hodgins (Jack 1992) of St. Catharines. Will be sadly missed by brother Gary Dean (Monica) and sister, Sherrie Porter (Mike) both of Florida. Leaving behind cherished aunt, uncle, mother-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Terry was a member of Nipissing Lodge #420 AF&AM where he had the privilege of serving as their Master in 1986. Terry was also a member of the North Bay Rorab Shrine Club where he and Deanna enjoyed many hours with the Rorab Kar Unit while Terry was parading in his little green race car. Visitation will be held at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Chapel on Monday March 24th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. NANKERVIS - Norman
Suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital on Monday March 17th, 2003 while in his 71st year. Norman is survived by his beloved wife Eleanor (nee James), whom he married in Kirkland Lake 45 years ago. Proud and loving father of Norman (Debbie) of South Porcupine and Brian of Porcupine. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kate, Kaylah, Christopher, Lindsay and Steven. Predeceased by his sister Audrey Clogg. Born and raised in Kirkland Lake Norman moved his family to South Porcupine in the late 1960’s. For twenty years he was employed as a clerk with Falconbridge at the Kidd Creek mine. A community minded man Norman will be remembered by many for the many hours he gave to volunteer for the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. He was also a charter member of the Kidd Creek Employees Credit Union. Since moving to North Bay in 1996 he took great pleasure volunteering at the Heritage Railway Company and was an active member of the Golden Age Club were he enjoyed a good game of pool. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday March 16, 2003 at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site. Beloved wife of Gordon Harper and the late Raymond O’Hara. Loving mother of Sharron Andryechen (husband Ed) of North Bay, Debbie O’Hara of London and Mary Lou Lockwood (husband Randy) of Barrie. Beloved grandmother of Sheri Madigan (husband Tom), Derrick Andryechen, Jennifer Duffy, Dustin Campbell and Brittany Lockwood. Beloved great grandmother of Amanda Andryechen-Madigan, Michael Madigan and Derrick Stone. Beloved great great grandmother of Brayden Andryechen-Madigan. Ada will be loved and remembered by several nieces and nephews as well as Gordon’s children David, Bob, Peter and Linda and their families. Predeceased by her parents Jack (J.W.) and Edith Billington, her sister Eva Harvey and baby sister Jean Billington. Died peacefully with his family at his side, at Leisureworld Nursing Care Centre, on Thursday, March 13, 2003. Elmore Glen Cripps, was the beloved husband of Connie Lynham, in his 85th year. Loving father of Lynn and her husband Michael Beauchamp of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lori and Brian. Elmore worked with the Ontario Northland Railway as a Passenger Service Representative, for many years, retiring in 1975. He had been a long time and active member of the West Ferris and Callander Royal Canadian Legions. At Elmore’s request there will be no visitation and services. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium with interment ashes in the family plot in Terrace Lawn cemetery.

Died peacefully with her family at her side, at Leisureworld Nursing Care Center, on Friday, February 20, 2004. Connie Lynham, was the beloved wife of the late Elmore Glen Cripps, in her 81st year. Loving mother of Lynn and her husband Michael Beauchamp of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lori and Brian. Dearly loved sister of Laurel and her husband Rene Dube of North Bay, Dot and her husband Gord Verkuilen of Little Chute, Wisconsin and Jim Lynham and his wife Ethel also of North Bay. Predeceased by her parents William and Dora Lynham and by her siblings Jack, Gladys, Betty and Grace. Connie was stationed in Newfoundland during WW 11, where she packed parachutes for the RCAF. She was a Past President and Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 599 (West Ferris). Connie was also an active member of the Girl Guides of Canada and of Emmanuel United Church. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the RCL # 599 (30 Legion Drive, North Bay) on Friday, February 27th, at 2:00 PM. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium with interment of ashes in the family plot in Terrace Lawn cemetery. Dear grandmother of eight, and great-grandmother of ten. Survived by her sister Bernice Drown (husband Pat) of Hamilton. At Marjorie’s request cremation will take place with a private memorial in the spring.

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Michael Brown (Kelly), Kim Baigent, Danny Brown (Audra), Sandra Catton, Amy Bryan and by her seven great-grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Rene, Ailene, Jeannine and Louise. Lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Barbara Sheffield of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Ann Lariviere and by her sisters and brothers Mary Miller, Edna Donaldson, Alice Donaldson and Wilfred and Leo Lariviere.
