Mrs. Pearl Sabins

1913 - 2002

passed away suddenly at Brockville General Hospital, Brockville, Ontario, on Friday, January 25th, 2002; the former Pearl Eva Attridge at the age of 88 years. Mrs. Sabins was a winter resident at Maymanor Park, Lakeland, Florida for many years. Beloved wife of Lloyd Sabins of Brockville. Loving mother of Earl Kirkby (Diane DeWit) of Bass Lake, Faye McDougall (Allan) of Brockville, and Pat Milligan (John Holman) of Brockville. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Larry Milligan (Cindy), Rick Milligan (Bev), Laurie McKeown (Perry Lamers), Tony Kirkby (Karen), and Stephen McDougall, and by several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and by her step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Eleanor Smith of Brockville, her step daughter Carol Caruna of Newcastle and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Alberta and Kay, and by brothers Jack, Earl, Jim and Grenville, as well as by her son-in-law Larry Milligan.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday from 11am to 12:45pm. In celebration of Pearl's life a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 1 o'clock. Interment at a later date at Sandy Hill cemetery , Prescott. In remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Stanley H. Blaedow

1920 - 2002

passed away at his home on Monday, February 18, 2001 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary Blaedow (Collison). Loving father of Audrey Jackson of Prescott, Linda McBride (Lloyd) of Beachburg, Carol Fenlong (Ernie) of Brockville, Pat Young of Maynard, Elaine Lough (John) of Brockville, Stephen Blaedow (Marcie) and Michael Blaedow (Marilyn) all of Addison. Fondly remembered by his 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Also survived by 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Predeceased by sons Roger and Paul Blaedow, granddaughter Joanne, grandson Jemal, son-in-law Ron Young, sister Esther, two brothers Daniel and Harold and by his parents Daniel Henry Blaedow and Mary Jane Radkie.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A ceremony in celebration of Stan's life will be held at the Brockville Tabernacle-United Pentecostal Church, corner of James & Buell Sreets, on Wednesday at 2 pm. Interment will take place in New Dublin cemetery in the spring. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville Tabernacle-United Pentecostal Church will be gratefully acknowledged.

Robert D. Wilkinson

1925 - 2002

On Wednesday, February 20th, 2002 at Brockville General Hospital; Robert David Wilkinson at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of the late Norma (Styles) Wilkinson. Dear father of Patricia Wilson and her husband Jim of Stratford, and Susan Kelly of Ottawa. Dear grandfather of Michael and Craig Earle and Ryan Kelly. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Marian Wilkinson, and by his son-in-law Michael Kelly.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, February 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. In celebration of Bob's life a ceremony will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 23rd at 11am. Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.

William D. Jones

1928 - 2002

passed away at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, February 21, 2002 at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of the former Marion Mills. Loving father of Catherine Russell and her husband Donald of Lyn, Dianne Merkley and her husband Alan and William A. Jones and his wife Anita all of R.R. 3 Athens. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Erin and Pam Russell, Jason and Alison Merkley, Ashley, Amanda and Adam Jones. Predeceased by his parents William N. Jones and Matilda Fox.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Sunday, February 24th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A ceremony in celebration of Bill's life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, February 25th at 11 am. Interment will take place at Oakland cemetery followed by a gathering in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged. Officers and Members of Sussex Lodge # 5, A.F. & A. M. will hold a memorial tribute on Sunday at 7 pm at the funeral home. All sister lodges are welcome to attend.

Laurette Derbowka

1946 - 2002

passed away at the Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, January 27, 2002. Laurette Vivianne Malette at the age of 55 years. Beloved wife of Ronald Derbowka of R.R. 1 Brockville. Loving mother of David Derbowka at home and Elizabeth Derbowka and her fiance Andrew Russell of Brampton. Dear sister of Denise (Denis Casey) of Quebec, Goody Malette (Cathy) of Windsor, Lola Hall of Kingston and Bert Malette of Prescott. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Andy and Martha Malette.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In celebration of Laurette's life, a Funeral Liturgy will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 am followed by a gathering in the funeral home reception centre. Interment will take place at a later date. In remembrance, donations to the Breast Cancer Research Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.

Anita Rebecca Clarke

1913 - 2002

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on January 29, 2002 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Ellard Clarke. Dear sister of Phyllis Dodd and her husband Fred of Perth. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Julia Clarke; by her sisters Ellen Clarke, Marjorie Bradley, Beatrice Johnston, Jennie Clarke, Maud Fraser, Edna Baker, Luella Biggs and Hilda Fair; and by a brother Cyrus Clark.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, February 1st from 10 am until 11:15am. In celebration of Anita's life a ceremony will be held in the chapel at 11:30am followed by a reception. Interment will be at Elmwood cemetery Perth. Mrs. Roma Benson

1913 - 2002

Peacefully at the St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville on Friday, February 1, 2002. Roma Josephine (Vincent) Benson of Brockville at 88 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Harry Benson. Loving mother of Gary (Helen) of Fond De Lac Wisconsin, John & his wife Donna and James (Jim) & his wife Shirley all of R.R. #2 Brockville. Will be sadly missed by ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brother Casey Vincent of Los Angeles, CA., and by her sisters Germaine Hamlin of Reno, NV and Loretta Latuluppe of Rosedale, CA.; as well as by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Alberta Fortier and Madeline Ford, and by brother Denhardt Vincent.

Interment to follow in St. Francis Xavier cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Janet LaRose

1940 - 2002

At peace after a difficult illness; on Saturday, February 2nd, 2002 at the Elizabeth Bruyere Centre, Ottawa, at the age of 61. Janet Patricia (nee Lovesey, Herbison) LaRose of Nepean and formerly of Brockville is survived by her mother Betty Shaw (Gifford) of Brockville and predeceased by her father Harry Lovesey. Beloved wife of Dalton LaRose of Nepean and the late Keith Herbison. Loving mother of Marc Herbison (Brenda Simzer), Brent Herbison (Linda) and Paul LaRose. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jessica, Patricia and Dillon. Janet will be fondly remembered by Claire & Marilyn Shaw, and Sheila Barclay; Russell & Jill LaRose and by her mother-in-law Beatrice LaRose.

June N. Shields

1929 - 2002

On Monday, April 1st, 2002 at the Brockville General Hospital; the former June N. Seeley at the age of 72 years. Beloved wife of Edmund Shields of Brockville. Loving mother of Diane Helliker and her husband Doug of Toronto, and Michael Shields and his wife Ilga of Richmond Hill. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Carmen, Brianna and Madison. Also survived by her sister Joyce Sinclair and her husband Brian of California. Predeceased by her brother Aubrey Seeley. A native of Mainsville, Ontairo, Mrs. Shields lived for many years in Richmond Hill. She enjoyed a lengthy career with the Bank of Nova Scotia prior to retiring to Brockville.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a ceremony in celebration of June's life on Friday, April 5th at 1 o'clock at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. A gathering will follow in the Irvine Funeral Home Reception Centre. Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to Sherwood Park Manor will be gratefully acknowledged.
