Jeannine Bolduc
1924 - 2002

On Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the Kingston General Hospital; the former Jeannine R. Biron of Brockville at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of the late Felix L. Bolduc who predeceased her only one month ago. Loving mother of Nicole Kelly of Pickering, Denise Ross (William) of Arnprior, Francine Corrigan (Charles) of North Bay, Michael Bolduc (Joanne) of Kingston, and Suzanne Bolduc of Chambly. Predeceased by her son Jacques and by her son-in-law Terry Kelly. Fondly remembered by her fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was joyfully awaiting the birth of her third great grandchild.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Church on Saturday, November 23rd at 10:30am. Visitation will follow at the Ledoux Funeral Home, 150 Sherbrooke Street, Magog, Quebec, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A subsequent Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the church of Ste. Marguerite-Marie on Monday at 10:30am with interment in Cimetiere St. Patrice. In remembrance, donations to the Kidney Foundation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Loaves and Fishes will be gratefully acknowledged.

William Turner Bath
1912 - 2002

At his daughters residence in Forthton on December 6, 2002 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Elma Hazel Perrin. Dear father of Joan Moffatt of Lyn and Olene Pettem and her husband Carl of Forthon. Loving grandfather to Greg Moffatt, Willam Pettem (Cathy) and Carolyn Smith (Kevin). Also survived by great grandchildren Brooke and Brandy Smith, Bradley, Steven, Jennifer and Matthew Pettem, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Donna Dochstader and by twin sons in infancy. Predeceased by two sisters Adalene Gibson and Hazel Shotter.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Bill's life will be held in the Chapel on Monday at two o'clock. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In memoriams to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

Reginald Edgar Pankhurst
1925 - 2002

Peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital on Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Bernice and loving father of Violet Gibson of Mallorytown. Dear grandfather of Monique Johnston .Great grandfather of Sarah. Also survived by sisters Lillian Root ( Clark) of Escott and Vera Klein ( Lloyd ) of North Augusta; by brothers Garnet (Geraldine) of North Augusta, Percy of Victoria and Clarence ( Patrricia ) of Brockville.Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Violet Hare and by brothers Norman and Ronnie.

A celebration of Reg's life will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1.30 pm.. Cremation and interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. James Frederick "Jim" Symonds
1940 - 2002

Retired from IBM after over 40 years of service

At his home on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at the age of 61 years. Beloved husband of Elspeth Annandale. Loving father of Laurie Gibbons (Steve) of Rockton, Illinois and James Matthew Symonds of Ottawa. Dear grandfather of Bailey Gibbons. Brother of Janet Shore (Kieran) of Nepean and Donald Symonds (Carolyn) of Paris, France. Son-in-law to Maisie Annandale of Vancouver and brother-in-law to Anna Fontaine (Vic) and Adam Annandale (Jane). Also survived by nieces and nephews Michael (Nancy), Marianne (Pete), Jennifer (Craig), Stephen (Wendy), David, Bruce (Karen), Scott (Judy), Blair, Ian (Patti) and Allan and by great nieces and nephews Billy, Melissa, Riley, Kieran, Connor, Liam, Danielle, Shawn, Adam, Melissa, Taylor and Logan. Predeceased by his parents Frederick Symonds and Beatrice Wager, his father-in-law Adam Annandale and by a niece Margaret Maxwell.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 7-9 pm. A ceremony in Celebration of Jim's life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2:30 pm followed by a gathering in the Funeral home Reception Centre. Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium in Maitland with interment in Ottawa at a later date. Donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Kenneth Hutton Scott
1926 - 2002

Peacefully at his home, McDonalds Corners, with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of the former Joyce Fleming. Dear father of John Scott (Penny) of Hull, Kenneth Scott (Marcie) of Montreal, Donald Scott (Sue) of Osgoode and Christy (John McLean) of Calabogie. Fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A family ceremony will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Saturday, December 7, 2002 with interment following at Oakland cemetery. Janet Ann Blanchard
1923 - 2002

passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville; the former Janet Ann Cooper at the age of 79 years. Wife of the late Louis John Blanchard. Loving mother of Sheila Roberts (Malcolm) of Uxbridge, Richard of Johnstown, Linda Lee Rice (Ed) of Morrisburg, Robert (Joanne), Pattie McPolin ( Andy Teeple ) and Jennifer Lamoureux all of Brockville, and Kathryn Campbell ( Sean ) of Langley BC. Fondly remembered by eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Eric and Gordon Cooper, and sisters Edna St. Jean and Donalda Bissonnette all of Cornwall as well as by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Grace Laplante and Deborah Lemieux, and brothers Art, George, Howard and John Cooper.

A private Funeral Liturgy was held at Most Precious Blood Church, Glenwalter on Monday November 25th. with interment following in the parish cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Lung Association or the Sherwood Park Manor will be gratefully acknowledged. Robert Charles Taylor
1924 - 2002

Peacefully at Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, November 21, 2002; Robert Charles Taylor at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Helen (Hurst) Taylor. Loving father of Linda Rainville (Richard) of Blind River, Robert Taylor (Elaine) of Brockville, and Danny Taylor (Kim) of Toronto. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Steven, Stacy, Karen, Sandy, Darryl and Allison, and great grandchildren Kristina, Jessica and Julia Lynn. Dear brother of Bill and his wife The Rev. Susan B. Taylor of Montrose, New York, and John and his wife Mary Taylor of Orillia. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland, at a later date. In remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged. Annie Muriel (Anne) Norman , Reg. N

On Sunday, November 24, 2002 at 9:05 a.m., entered into rest peacefully at Brockville General Hospital at the age of 87. Long time resident of Algonquin and a native of New Brunswick. Wife of the late Burford Frederick Cardue Norman. Loving mother of Stan Norman and his wife Corrie (Westendorp) of Dallas, Texas and of the late Burford Norman (Ardeth). Cherished Grandmother of Kim (Brian), Christina, Vicky, Lance, Brenda (Rick), Neil (Jayne). Great Grandmother of Tiria, Melanie, Ted, Christina, Bianca, Kyle, Chelsea, Neilan and Octavia. Survived by her sister Laura Patterson (the late Ellsworth Robert Patterson) of Fredericton, N.B. Remembered by nieces Shirley Hansen (Everett), Norma Peabody (Allen), Marie Harling (Michael) and nephews Buddy Patterson (Penny) and Wilfred Patterson (Katherine MacDonald) and their families. Remembered by her cousin Ben Hubley (Harriette) and their children, of Portland, Maine. She will be missed by family and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to her very dear friend and homemaker, Shirley Roode, for the last fourteen years of care and friendship – you are a special person.

Support by the Access Center, Red Cross and March of Dimes enabled Anne to stay at home for the latter part of her life. To the staff of these organizations – “No words can even come close to expressing our gratitude”.

A very special thanks to Dr. Brian Wagg and his staff: Marg, Laurie, and Sandy for many years of exemplary care and compassion which extends back to Dr. Wagg’s practice in Merrickville. We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Joey Newbigging, the Brockville General Emergency team, and I.C.U. staff for their unparalleled care and sensitivity. We are thankful for the support and guidance of Barbara of Roselawn Memorial Gardens and Matt of Irvine Funeral Home for far exceeding the normal expectations in a personal and caring way.

In celebration of Anne’s life, an informal gathering for family and friends will be held at the Roselawn Tribute Centre, Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2415 County Road 15, Maitland, on Saturday, November 30, 2002 from 2-4pm. (Casual attire is appropriate). Anne will have resting places at the Roselawn Columbarium, at Mount Royal cemetery in Montreal with her husband and son, and in Anagance, New Brunswick with her parents. A memorial service will be held at Mount Royal cemetery in Montreal next summer with details to be announced. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation will be gratefully accepted.

Evelyn Mae York
1921 - 2002

At the St. Vincent de Paul Providence Continuing Care Centre on Monday, November 11, 2002 at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Walter of 56 years. Sadly missed by her daughter Carol and her husband Rev. Bill Jay of Ottawa, and grandsons Robert of Winnipeg and Peter of Montreal. Also survived by brothers Bruce Barkley and wife Lenore of Shanly, Keith Barkley and wife Lila, and Lyle Barkley and wife Annie all of Inkerman, and Ray Barkley of Brockville; sisters-in-law Muriel Barkley, Jean York of Brockvile, Muriel York of Spencerville, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends at the Marguerita Apartments in Brockville. Predeceased by brothers Murray Barkley and wife Jesse, Lester and Carl Barkley, and sister-in-law Annabell (wife of Ray Barkley). Evelyn was a member of Wall Street United Church for fifty years and was very active until recent years. She lived at the Marguerita for fourteen years and was secretary of the tenants association and helped at many of their social functions. Every day she was out for a walk until her illness and especially enjoyed walking to the river. Her brother Ray and sister-in-law Jean York will miss her companionship.

In celebration of Evelyn's life a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 16th at 11am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.

Leona "Dewey" Peyman
1928 - 2002

At the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, November 17, 2002. Leona Mildred Evelyn Durant at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife of the late James Louis Peyman. Loving mother of Karen and her husband Andrew Lupa of Toronto, Robert Peyman of Kemptville and Lorie Peyman of Brockville. Dear grandmother of Matthew and Haley Peyman of Brockville. Sister of Melbourne Durant of Prescott. Predeceased by five brothers Earl, Lawrence, Mansell, Elmer and Arnold Durant.

A celebration of Dewey's life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, November 20th at 11 am followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland.
