Elizabeth Patricia Ennis
1928 - 2002

Peacefully at the St. Lawrence Lodge on Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife of the late David Lawrence Ennis. Loving mother of Jeff Ennis (Pat) of Brockville. Dear sister of Edwin "Red" Riddell (Jenny) of Prescott, Donald Riddell (Doris) of Rockport, Barbara Lang (John) of Arizona and Donna Stanistreet (Robert) of Bancroft. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Gary Ennis and by many nieces and nephew and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Victor Riddell and Gladys Barkley.

A ceremony in celebration of Betty's life will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday at 11 am followed by a gathering in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland with interment at Harkness cemetery , Iroquois at a later date. Donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged.

Ella Patricia Fox
1918 - 2002

Peacefully at the St. Lawrence Lodge on Saturday, December 14, 2002 at the age of 84 years. Wife of the late Kenneth (Buck) Fox and mother of the late Yvonne Ella Fox. Dear aunt to several nieces and nephews. Also survived by her extended family including Jean Gill, Wayne Gill (Rose), Judy McKay and Sandra McKay-Dixon (Earl). Predeceased by her brothers George and Albert English.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday after 1 pm until 2 pm when a celebration of Ella's life will be held in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In remembrance, donations to St. Peter's Church or the Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged.

Violet May Firn
1911 - 2002

Went to be with the Lord peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, December 15, 2002 in her 92nd year. Wife of the late Edward Firn and daughter of the late Ranald and Bertha MacDonald of Cornwall. Precious mother of Joan Firth and her husband Jerry of Brockville. Loving grandmother of Kim (Patrick Gilligan), Shelley (Steve Graham), Diane (Garry Warren), Jerilyn (Peter Guerin) and Kevin Firth (Katie). Fondly remembered by her ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and by several nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Mildred Kennedy of Florida. Predeceased by a brother Irvine MacDonald and by sisters Lillian MacDonald, Agnes Ranger and Margaret Quimet.

The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be held at St. John Bosco Church, 175 Windsor Dr., Brockville, on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Interment will be held at Maple Grove cemetery , Cornwall. Mae Audrey Lillian Nute
1909 - 2002

At the London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario, on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Nute. Dear mother of Margaret Hofer and her husband Carl of Ripley, and grandmother of Michael of Ripley.

Friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East Brockville from Friday 7-9 pm and on Saturday from 12 noon until 1 pm when services will be held in the chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society or Wall Street United Church will be gratefully acknowledged.

Hubert Louis Belanger
1923 - 2002

Entered into rest at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Audrey Belanger (Irving). Loving father of Edward (Kathy) of Calgary, Francis ( Mary ) of Burlington, Robert (Joan) of Brockville, John (Susan) of Surrey, B.C., Mary Ann (Michael Willis), Theresa Smith and Michael (Susan) all of Brockville. Dear grandfather of Michelle (Derek Spencer), Kristen, Justen, Chris, Joanne, Rob, Andy, Sean, Jody, Jennifer, Stewart, Sarah, Lesley, Ainsley, Jeffrey, and Eric. Great grandfather of Dawson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Half brother of Wilfred of Williamsburg. Predeceased by parents Moise and Josephine Belanger, and half brother of the late Napoleon, William, Eugene, Edmund, Leon, Elmer and Victor Belanger, Florence, Clarisse, Mary, Joe, Napoleon, Rene and Clarence Paul.

At the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, on Saturday, November 9, 2002. Helen Mary (Kazulak) Legault, formerly of Huntingdon, Quebec, in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Roger Legault. Dear sister of Nicholas Kazulak and his wife Monique of Cornwall, and Lois Cote and her husband Claude of Brossard, Quebec. Predeceased by a sister Sylvia Wattie. Fondly remembered by several Nieces & Nephews.

(Long time nurse and volunteer of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital). On Sunday, November 10, 2002 in Toronto; Janina (Gryszan) Polionis, formerly of Brockville at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Bronislaw Polionis. Loving mother of Christina Peterson & her husband Stanley of Toronto, and Bernice Waldeck & her husband Alexander of Mississauga. Dear grandmother of Christine Waldeck-Sabourin & her husband Phil of Mississauga, and Carmen Kelly of San Jose, California. Fondly remembered by great grandchildren Zachry Sabourin and Alexandra Kelly.

Loving father of Joy Abbott (Antony) of London, Edwin W. (Anita) of Orangeville, and Martha E. Adgeg (Julien) of Montreal. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Katherine Abbott of Ottawa, Elizabeth (Jonathan Batch) of Toronto, and Alexandra Maud Adgeg of Montreal. Predeceased by his brother, Lt. Col. W. J. McDougald.

1939 - 2002

Suddenly at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 in her 64th year. Marjorie Elizabeth Bonsteel Forten, lifelong resident of Charleston Lake. Beloved wife of Robert Forten of Charleston Lake. Dear mother of Donna Mae Avery (Greg Hayes) of Mallorytown, Marilyn White (Stephen) of R.R. 4 Mallorytown and Michael Forten (Linda) of R.R. 3 Prescott. Loving grandmother of Jessica and Jared Avery and Corey White. Sister of Marion Allen. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son in infancy, four brothers Elwin, Frances, Harold and Howard Bonsteel and by a sister Muriel Jackson.

The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville. There will be no public visitation. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Winona Elizabeth Ashworth
1909 - 2002

At the Sherwood Park Manor on December 24, 2002 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter Ashworth. Predeceased by her only child David Ashworth.

At the Brockville General Hospital on December 26, 2002 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Watkinson Moore. Stepfather of Micki Dunn (Terry) and Larry Harper (Jill Montgomery) all of Brockville and Bobbie Harper (Sue) of Johnstown. Also survived by five grandchildren and one sister Victoria Kelly (Ernie) of Mallorytown. Predeceased by brothers Manford, Toni and Roy Moore, by a sister Florence Moore, a stepdaughter Cathy Eccles and by a grandson Craig Eccles.
