1962 - 2004

At the Kingston General Hospital on July 18, 2004 at the age of 41 years. Beloved husband of Deborah (Hazelaar) MacDonald. Dear father of Christine and Andrew MacDonald. Brother of Ted Collar (Mary), Gayle Bouvier (Dan), Wayne (Diane), Arthur (Brenda), Mary Chant (Frank) and Robert MacDoanld (Jim). Fondly remembered by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and by his mother and father-in-law Tammo and Audrey Hazelaar.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Thursday, July, 22nd, 2004 after 6 pm until 7 pm when services will be held in the Chapel. Cremation and interment will take place at the Roselawn Crematorium and Memorial Gardens, Mailtand. In memoriams to Christine and Andrew's MacDonald education fund will be gratefully appreciated.

Albert John "Al" Hardsand
1928 - 2004

At the Brockville General Hospital on July 13, 2004 in his 76th year. Albert John (Al) Hardsand, formerly of Mallorytown. Husband of Kathleen (Baker) Hardsand of Addison. Dear father of Annette Dean (Mel) of Mallorytown and Kim Bedor (Chris) of R. R. 4 Prescott. Grandfather of Stephanie, Jeffrey and Jessie. Brother of Georgina Hughes, Mildred Ives and Joy Cassidy. Predeceased by a brother Clarence.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Wednesday from 7- 9 pm. A celebration of Al's life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm. Cremation will follow at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. In memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

George Clifford Ufford
1920 - 2004

Entered into rest at his Brockville residence on July 9, 2004 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Georgena Keeler and Gladys Armstrong Lyon. Dear father of Heather Bisbikos (Paul) of Liverpool, N.Y., and Deborah Wolak (Ed) of Maine. Dear grandfather of Kimberley Wolak and Steven Bisbikos. Also survived by a sister- in-law of Marion Ufford of Montreal and a cousin Nancy Laporte of Prescott. Predeceased by a brother John Ufford. .

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville Tuesday, July 13th from 10 am until 11am when funeral services will be held in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Rideau Memorial Gardens, Montreal on Tuesday afternoon. In memoriums to the Canadian Arthritis Society or the Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Marion Beryl Beattie
1936 - 2004

At the Brockville General Hospital on July 8, 2004 in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Donald Beattie. Dear mother of James and Bruce Beattie and Donna Sands (Steve) all of Brockville. Dear grandmother of Thomas, Connor, Ethan, Stephen, Cody, Curtis, Kristen and Megan. Dear sister of Norman Younger (Bonnie), Neil Younger (Jackie) and Malcolm Younger all of Ottawa.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Saturday from 7- 9 pm, on Sunday from 2-4 pm, and on Monday from 12.30 until 1.30 pm. , thence to Wall Street United Church for services at 2 o'clock. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. In memoriums to the Wall Street Church Memorial Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.

Austen Clarence (Tim) Hemsley
Captain (Ret.)
1920 - 2004

At the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the age of 83 years. Born in England on October 30, 1920. Lovingly remembered by his wife Bea; son Mark (Deidre) of Almonte, Ont.; daughter Janet Hawkins (Kerry) of Manassas, Virginia; grandchildren Keltie Schaffer (Michael), John Robert and Colin Hawkins, Ryan Hamsley (Cindy) and Justin Hemsley (Suzanne); and by two great-granddaughters Danielle and Madison Hemsley. Also survived by his brothers Ron Hemsley and Maurice Hemsley (Betty), by sisters Peggy Craig and Sylvia Bruley and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and a brother Ben in WWII. Served in WWII in England and Italy and remained in the regular force until 1974. Member at various times of the Lions Club, Nation Masonic Lodge, Spencerville, the Spencerville Agricultural Society. Long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 604, Spencerville, and presently a member of Branch No. 97 Prescott.

Visitation at the Roselawn Tribute Centre (Roselawn Memorial Gardens) 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, on Tuesday from 6:30-8:30pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30pm. In celebration of Tim's life a ceremony will be held in the Roselawn Chapel on Thursday at 11am. Following cremation, interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation, the Prescott Historical Society or charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 97 are invited to a Legion Tribute at Roselawn on Wednesday at 7pm followed by a Masonic Memorial Service for Nation Lodge No. 556 A.F. and A.M. on Wednesday at 8pm.

Kathleen Donovan
1935 - 2004

On Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Brockville General Hospital; Kathleen Anne Donovan (nee Dodds) at the age of 69 years. Beloved wife of the late Neil Donovan. Loving mother of Michael Donovan and Judy Davis both of Brockville, and predeceased by two daughters, Christine Duncan and Connie Daubney. Fondly remembered by her granddaughters Crystal and Jill, and by her sister Jean Rothwell of Brockville. Predeceased by grandchildren Charles and Benjamin and by her brother John. Kathleen will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, her son-in-law David Duncan, and by dear friends Nellie Duncan, Arlee Taylor and Terry Mallory and family.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Sunday, July 4th from 1:00pm until the time of the service in the Chapel at 3:00pm Sunday. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. In remembrance, memorial donations may be directed to the Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society.

Earl Robert Napper
1936 - 2004

At the Kemptville District Hospital on October 8th 2004 in his 69th year. Son of the late Joseph Charles Napper and Mabel Thompson. Father of Robert Napper. Brother-in-law of Mary Napper. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Fred and by a family friend Evelyn Locey VanDusen.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville from Tuesday after 1 o'clock until 1,30 when funeral services will be held in the Chapel. . Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In memoriums to the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

Robert John "Bob" Serson
1935 - 2004

At Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of the former Sylvia Shaw. Loving father of Dan (Kathie), Penny Blanchard (Joe), Glen (Joanne), and Susie Serson (Jason). Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Dear brother of Art (Cathy), James (Linda), Eddie (Gladys) and Garnet (Verla) Serson, and Irene (Carl Young), Almede Watson, Elsie Burtch and Myrtle Lafirst. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elgin Serson and Annie Lawson, brothers Douglas, Elmer, Billy and George Serson, sisters Mildred O'Toole, Rita Fergus and Viola Salter.

A service in celebration of Bob's life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11am. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium. Ross Douglas Jesse Morningstar
1928 - 2004

Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, October 7, 2004 surrounded by his loving wife, family and their close friend Marion. Born April 14, 1928 in Welland, ON, he was 76 years of age. Predeceased by his parents Claude and Grace Morningstar, his beloved daughter Sheryl Murphy Morningstar, his beloved grandson Jesse Morningstar, his twin brother Russell Morningstar and brothers-in-law Jack Grierson and Fletcher Smith. He leaves his devoted wife Shirley of 53 years. Lovingly remembered by his children Tim (Kathy) of Sherkston, ON, Scott (Joanne) and Greg (Luisa) all of St. Hubert, QC, and son-in-law Lewis Murphy of Howick, QC. His nine grandchildren Tim Jr., Bethanne, Troy, Kristin, Michele, Jessica, Sabrina, Michael and Francis will forever miss their Grandpa. Fondly remembered by his sister Vivian Grierson, his brother Larry (Willo) Morningstar all of Niagara Falls, and his sister-in-law Marjorie Morningstar of Welland, ON, and by many nieces and nephews. Sadly missing their brother-in-law are Margie Smith of St Catharines, ON, and Dot & Banty Gaylor of Thorold, ON.

A celebration of the life of Ross will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Saturday, October 16th at 3 o'clock with a reception to follow. In remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Madeline Sullivan
1917 - 2004

At the Brockville General Hospital on October 2, 2004; the former Madeline Florence Fodey, in her 88th year. Wife of the late Joseph Sullivan. Dear aunt of Carol and Cameron Miller of Oshawa and Mike and Shirley Roode of Maitland. Great aunt of Kim Beattie, Scott Miller (Julie), Darby Martin (Paul), Shelly Blanchard (Mark), Christine Major (Mike) and Lee Ann Marion (Ian). Great great aunt of Ashley and Trevor Beattie, Macie Martin, Austin and Megan Blanchard, Mikayla and Ethan Major, and Vanessa and Caleb Marion. Predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Dora, and Alys Fodey and Nora Roode and her husband Bill.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church on Tuesday at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier cemetery. In memoriums to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Lung Association, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged. Members of the Catholic Women's League are requested to gather for the recitation of the Rosary on Monday at 2pm.
