Lester Carl Henry
1938 - 2004

On Monday, June 28, 2004 at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital; Lester Carl Henry of North Augusta at the age of 65 years. Son of the late Matthew and Irene Henry. Dear brother of Percy Henry of North Augusta, Albert Henry of Brockville, Vivian Quinn (Gerald) of Brockville and Muriel Henry of North Augusta. Predeceased by brothers Noble, Lemuel, Charles, Thomas, Herbert, Angus and Edgar, and by a sister Florence Clarence.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Wednesday, June 30th from 1:30pm until the time of the service in the Chapel at 3 o'clock. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

William (Bill) Beedie
1913 - 2004

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on June 16, 2004 in his 91st year. William (Bill) Hood Beedie, beloved husband of Audrey Wilson Beedie. Also survived by his sister-in-law Ethel Selk and her family of Estevan Saskatchewan. Predeceased by brothers Charles and Fred Beedie and by a sister Betty Patterson.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held at the Brockville Wesleyan Church on Saturday, June 19th at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In memoriams to the Wesleyan Church Building Fund or Charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

William Arthur Rieveley
1912 - 2004

William Arthur (Bill) Rieveley (92) died peacefully in his sleep 2 pm, Sunday, June 13th, 2004 at the St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville with his two daughters at his side. Born June 2nd, 1912 in Vancouver BC, Bill was predeceased by this wife Jessie Mary Jackson, daughter Hilda Joyce Leigh as well as 3 sisters (Mabel Porter, Olive Dobson, Diane Pawlikowski) and 1 brother (Douglas Wilson). Surviving Bill is his sister Francis Antonsen of Vancouver, BC, 2 daughters Mary Hilda Elsie Cooke (Rodney) and Kathleen Grace Van Dusen (Carman) both of Brockville and 4 grandchildren, Robert Koktan, Diane Cooke, David Cooke, Jessica Van Dusen (Chris O’Grady), several nieces and nephews and various foster children. At Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation at Roselawn Crematorium entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 96 or the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

Hermann Wibbing
1924 - 2004

At the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, on June 10, 2004; Hermann Wibbing, formerly of Montreal at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Ute Wibbing, he is also survived by two children.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home. Following cremation at Roselawn Crematorium, a private graveside service will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care service will be gratefully acknowledged.

James George Phelps
1927 - 2004

At the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on June 11, 2004. James George Phelps in his 77th year. Husband of the late Catherine (Kay) Phelps. Dear father of Melanie of Attawapiskai, Michelle Harper (Terry) of Brockville and Mark Phelps of Kingston. Grandfather of Michael and Catherine Harper. Brother of Michael Phelps of Welland, Patricia Walton of Texas and Ferguson Phelps. Predeceased by a son Michael and by a brother Frank.

Family and friends may call at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Monday June 14th from 10am until 11 am when funeral services will be held in the Chapel. Cremation to follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. Interment will be at St. Francis Xavier cemetery at a later date. In memoriums to the Red Cross Homemakers or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

Grietje Grendel
1906 - 2004

Peacefully at home, R.R. 2 Lyn, in the care of her loved ones on Sunday, May 30th, 2004 at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Pieter Grendel. Loving mother of Ruurd (Rudy), Stuart and his wife Jannie, Feike and his wife Susanne all of R.R. 2 Lyn, and Renske (Renny) and her husband John Bertelink of RR 5 Belleville. Fondly remembered by eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Tinie Couperus of Holland. Predeceased by brothers Renze, Feike and Bram, and sisters Jet and Pietertje.

In celebration of Grietje's life a service will be held at the Maitland Community Reformed Church on Wednesday at 11am. Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Gideons or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged.

Dorothy June Rice
1940 - 2004

On Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, New York; the former Dorothy June McLean of Hammond, New York, at the age of 63 years. Beloved wife of Reginald Rice of Hammond, NY. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Phyllis McLean of Prescott, and by brother Clifford McLean (wife Angela survives). Dear sister of Kenneth McLean, sister-in-law of Robert Rice of Toronto, Winston Rice (Carol) of Algonquin, Paul Rice (Sharon) of New Dublin, Carl Rice (Annie) of Spring Valley, and Larry Rice (Sharon) of Brockville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother-in-law Donald Rice (wife Brenda survives) and sister-in-law Alice Ferguson (husband Lyle survives).

A ceremony in celebration of Dorothy's life will be held in the Irvine Chapel on Friday at 1 pm Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland with interment at Lyn cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Lung Association will be gratefully acknowledged.

Noble Wilson Henry
1921 - 2004

Peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital with his family by his side, on Friday, May 21, 2004 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Opal Sis (Harper) Henry of North Augusta. Noble is survived by his sisters Vivian Quinn (Gerald) and Muriel Henry and by his brothers Percy, Lester and Albert Henry. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Matthew Henry and Irene McEwan, his sister Florence Clarence and by brothers Charlie, Herbert, Thomas, Angus and Edgar Henry.

At the Brockville General Hospital on May 13, 2004. Grace Eleanor Clark Shannon in her 68th year. Beloved daughter of of the late Angus and Lorena Clark and wife of the late Albert Shannon. Dear niece of John Renwick and Jessie Renwick. Also survived by several cousins .

1931 - 2004

On Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Brockville General Hospital at the age of 73 years. Wife of the late William Thomas Clark. Dear mother of Brenda House, Shirley Carter, Richard Clark, Steven Clark, Gary Clark, and Jay Clark. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren.

Florence Olive Warren

At Brockville on February 8, 2004 at the age of 83 years.. Wife of the late Arthur Warren. Dear mother of Patricia Sheflin (James) and Sandra Throop (Richard). Also survived by nine grandchildren many great and great great grandchildren. Sister of Lawrence Smith of Brockville. Fondly remembered by a brother-in-law Earl Stewart and a sister-in-law Pearl Warren. Predeceased by her mother and father Adeline and Edgar Smith, by brothers Malcolm, Charles and Stanley and by sisters Minnie Brennan and Mary Davis.

A graveside service will be held at Lillie's Baptist cemetery , Seeley's Bay on Saturday, May 8th, 2004 at 2 o'clock. Arrangements are entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East Brockville. Cremation took place at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland.

John Joseph Osborne
1938 - 2004

At Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, May 2, 2004; John Joseph Osborne of R.R. 2 Brockville at the age of 65 years. Beloved husband of Jean Breen Osborne. Dear father of Mary Jean Hudson (Gary) and Mark Osborne (Fernanda) all of Kingston, Martha Dunn (Mike) of Sudbury, Michael Osborne (Cindy) of Toronto, Stephen Osborne (Ivy) and Paul Osborne (Krista) all of Brockville. Sadly missed by fifteen grandchildren, by two brothers Gary and Paddy Osborne, and his sister Bernardine Osborne all of New Brunswick.

The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be held at St. Francis Xavier on Thursday at 10:30am. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier cemetery.
