Samuel Lloyd Sabins
1912 - 2004

On Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Brockville General Hospital at the age of 91 years. Husband of the late Pearl (Kirkby) Sabins (nee Hatridge). Dear father of Carol Caruana of Oshawa and step father of Faye McDougall (Allan), Pat Milligan (John Holman) all of Brockville, and Earl Kirkby (Diane DeWit) of Bass Lake. Also survived by grandchildren Larry, Danny, Debbie-Kay and Heather-Lee and by step grandchildren Stephen McDougall, Larry Milligan, Mark Milligan, Laurie McKeown and Tony Kirkby. Brother of Harold Sabins (Joan) of Oshawa.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Tuesday, May 18th at 11am. A reception will follow the service. Interment will take place at Sandy Hill cemetery , Prescott. Arrangements entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

Doras Blair
1927 - 2004

At the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockvile, on June 9, 2004. Doras Rhene Easter Blair in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Donald Blair. Dear mother of Deborah Zufelt of Brockville, Randolph Blair of Toronto and Michel King of Brockville. Also survived by eight grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Henry and Floyd Easter and by sisters Mamie, Nellie and Wilhelmina Easter.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East Brockville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Doras' life will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11am. Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

George S. Perrin
1925 - 2004

Peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Marguerite (Lapensee) Perrin. Loving father of Donna Potetsianakis of Ottawa and Greg Perrin and his wife Patty of Keeseville, N.Y. Fondly remembered by his granddaughters Maria Potetsianakis, Joanna Dipillo (Emilio) and Stephanie Kitzemian (Nick). Also survived by his sisters Mary Plunkett and Mildred Chapman and by his nieces Patricia Hadju and Alice Scott (Don). Predeceased by his mother Harriette Perrin, his sister Rhoda Adrian and by his brother Arthur Perrin.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A celebration of George's life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Cremation and interment will follow at Roselawn, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged.

Rudolf Stulatjer
1934 - 2004

At the Brockville General Hospital on May 28, 2004 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Edda Stulajter. Dear father of Cornelia Van der Burg of Germany, Harald Stulajter (Rowena) of Australia and Regine Marsh (Brian) of Sunderland. Sadly missed by seven grandchildren and by one brother Stephen Stulajter.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Monday from 1:30 pm until 2:30pm, when a celebration of Rudolf's life will be held in the Chapel. Cremation will follow at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice of Providence Palliative Care Unit will gratefully acknowledged.

Pirkko Anneli (Perky) Richards
1928 - 2004

Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Richards. Loving mother of David Richards and his wife Joanne of Brockville, Linda Lappan and her husband Tim of Bancroft and Patty Skelton and her husband Edward of Brockville. Dear grandmother of Amy, Dustin and Kalli Richards, Ryan (Shannon) and Ian Lappan and Holly and Ed Skelton Jr. Great grandmother to Mackenzie and Jesse Lappan. Predeceased by her parents and by her brother Teijo Lehtonen.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Perky's life, at the Centennial Road Standard Church on Saturday, May 15th at 3 o'clock. Interment will take place at Oakland cemetery. The family will receive friends at a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall of the church. In remembrance, donations to Project Reach Out, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the V. O. N. will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

Herman Theodoor "Ted" Bouwhuis
1929 - 2003

(Retired Course Superintendent, Brockville Country Club)

At the Brockvile General Hospital on October 23, 2003. Herman Theodoor Bouwhuis at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of Wilhelmien "Mien" Bouwhuis (Duteweert). Dear father of Henry and his wife Cathy Commerford and Lawrence and his wife Pamela "Sam" Crosby. Dear grandfather of Cary Bouwhuis, Dana Bouwhuis and Allegra Crosby. Dear brother of Bill and Annie Bouwhuis, Marietje (Bouwhuis) and Hein Elshoff, Gerritt, and Antoon (Riek) Bouwhuis. Survived by sister-in-laws, Truis and Annie Bouwhuis and by cousins Gerritt and Toni Jansman. Predeceased by brothers Herman and John and by a sister Toni.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Sunday from 2-4 and 7- 9 pm. The Liturgy of The Christian funeral will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Monday at 10 am. Interment will take place at St. Francis Xavier cemetery followed by a reception at the Brockville Country Club. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Art Telgen
1939 - 2004

At the Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at the age of 65 years. Beloved husband of Lois Cheetam of Prescott. Loving father of Crystal (Andy Shedrick) and Tanya (Rob Wilson) all of Prescott. Cherished grandfather of Derrick, Meghann, Brooke and Sherrie. Dear brother of Gertie (Mervin), Johanne (Eric), Evert (Gail), Willie (Garry) and John. Predeceased by a brother Herman.

Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre & Crematorium, Maitland followed by a private family graveside service in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Irvine Funeral home, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

Aime Mayer
1927 - 2004

At St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockivlle, on Monday, December 6th, 2004 after a lengthy illness at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of the former Ruth Fischer (Ward Mayer) of Prescott. Loving father of Leo (Kathleen) of Brockville, Edward of Brockville, Maria Nielson (Dan) of Clarkson WA, Gordon of Brockville, Kathy Hughes (Kevin) of Charlotte NC, Sheila Beaumont (Paul) of Newberg, Oregon, Leslie (Paula) of Sudbury, and Cynthia Mayer of South Mountain. Also survived by step children Robert Ward (Daisy) of Prescott, Elaine Hume (John) of Conestogo ON, and Joanne Hetherington (Terry) of Kingston. Fondly remembered by 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 9 step grandchildren. Dear brother of Fleur Ange Benson (Hubert) of Chateauguay QC, Rollande Cote (Normand), Solange St. Onge (late Clova), Reynald Mayer (Marielle) and Lucille Lapierre (Lawrence) all of Cornwall. Predeceased by two infant children Stephanie and Mary Stella, by grandson David Mayer, and by siblings Lucien "Luc" Mayer (Georgette), Lionel "Red" Mayer (Jeannette), Fernande Carriere (Lucien) and Rene Mayer (Aline) all of Cornwall.

A private memorial was held at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville with cremation taking place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre & Crematorium, Maitland. Interment at a later date in Sandy Hill cemetery , Prescott. In remembrance, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Leeds and Grenville, or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Irene Catherine Wilson
(nee Haverty)
1917 - 2004

Formerly of Hamilton, Ontario, resident of Bridlewood Manor, Brockville, in her 87th year, died peacefully in her sleep at the Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday, December 7, 2004. Loving mother of Marilee Taylor (Bruce) Brockville, and David Stevens (Margaret) Winnipeg, MB. Grandmother to Neta Taylor-Post (John), Canton, NY, Jeremy Stevens (Linsea), River Hills, MB, Emily Stevens (Greg) Winnipeg, MB, and great-grandmother of John (Jack) Post. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law Thelma Haverty, Vulcan, AB, and Beth Milligan, Oakville, ON. She had a special relationship with her niece Helen Doyle, Balboa Island, CA. Irene was predeceased by her parents Mary and William Haverty as well as siblings, Marie, Edward, Kathleen and Bud, and by a step daughter Heather in 2004.

Irene, R.N., graduated from Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital in 1941, married Harry (Skip) Stevens, February, 1942 (predeceased 1960). In 1974, she married Edward J. (Tod) Wilson (predeceased 1996). She was a founding and Life Time Member of the Macassa Bay Yacht Club. Irene loved life, always smiling and positive, she was a caring and good friend to everyone who knew her.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, December 9th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A celebration of Irene's life will be held in the Irvine Chapel on Friday at 11am with a gathering to follow in the Irvine Reception Centre. Following cremation at the Roselawn Tribute Centre & Crematorium, Maitland. Interment will take place at St. Jude's cemetery , Oakville. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice will be appreciated by her family.

Shirley Jean Morris
1921 - 2004

Peacefully, after a difficult illness, at St. Lawrence Lodge on Sunday, July 25th, 2004; the former Shirley Jean Guilboard at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of Stewart Morris of Brockville. Loving mother of Mary Morris of Brockville and Eric Morris and his wife Linda of Toronto; and dear grandmother of Christopher Morris. Also survived by her sisters Elva Jobson (James) of Rockport, Janice Leduc of Quebec, Eleanor Beatson (Thomas) of Cardinal, and brothers Douglas "Duke" Guilboard (Kay) of Brockville and Bruce Guilboard; as well as by sisters and brothers-in-law Connie Guilboard of Brockville and Helen Guilboard of Ogdensburg, Bruce Morris (Nancy) of Kirkland Lake, and Mary Mueller (Arnold) of Brockville. Predeceased by a sister Alice Haggart, and brothers George, Ford and Alan Guilboard.

In accordance with Shirley's wishes, private cremation will take place at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland, entrusted to the care of Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. In remembrance donations to the Mary Jane Hawkins Fund of St. Lawrence Lodge, or the Parkinson's Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Dorothy Evelyn Lowe
1928 - 2004

At the Spiritual and Palliative Care Centre of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital July 28th, 2004 Dorothy Evelyn (Murray) Lowe in her 76th year. Dearly beloved of James Norman of 54 years and sons Ross Murray of Erie, PA, Thomas Stephen of Edmonton, and sister-in-law Phyllis Lowe of North York, ON. She was born February 22, 1928 at Haileybury, ON and raised there and Ottawa, ON. Dorothy bravely battled three brain tumors since 1979. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at the Brockville General Hospital, St. Vincent and Dr. Alan Redekopp for their kindness during the past two months.

Cremation will take place at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a kind thought.
