Marjorie Milne (Sharpe) McConnell

1911 - 2004

R.N., Graduate of Kingston General Hospital

At the Kemptville Hospital, Sunday, November 7, 2004. Survived by loving sister of Mary-Jane (Jennie) Craig of Bayfield Manor, Kemptville and by sister-in-law Joan Sharpe of Violet. Dear aunt of Barbara Sullivan, Marilyn Cameron, John, Patricia, Harvey and Trudi Sharpe. Predeceased by sister Ruth Gunn (Gordon) and by brothers Jack (Isobelle) and Harvet Sharpe and brother-in-law Delbert Craig.

A private interment will be held at Violet cemetery at a later date. Expression of sympathy may be sent to Bayfield Manor, 100 Elvira Street, Kemptville, K0G 1J0, where Jennie resides. Memorial donations to Bayfield Manor or the charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged. Entrusted to the care of Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

Audrey Rowena Hillis

1918 - 2004

On Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at Brockville General Hospital, the former Audrey Rowena Seeley, daughter of the late Seymour Seeley and Rachel Oakes. She was predeceased by her husband, Sgt. Keneth M. Hillis of the R.C.A.F., killed in action during World War II on January 14, 1945. She is survived by one brother, C.W. Earl Seeley of Hamilton, a niece Debbie Parker and by nephews Eric Potter and Jeffrey and Paul Seeley. She was predeceased by one sister Phyllis Sneddon.

Arrangements are entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East , Brockville with private interment at Maynard cemetery. In memoriams to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Carmen Rochon (nee Charbonneau)

passed away peacefully in hospital, Smiths Falls, on November 12, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Jean-Marc Rochon. She will be sadly missed by her children, sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private cremation took place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland. In memoriums to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Louise Pharand

1943 - 2004

passed away peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on November 19, 2004. Louise is survived by her daughter Michele Day of Hawkesbury. She will be sadly missed by her dear sister and caregiver Micheline Summers and her husband Wilf of R.R. 2 Prescott. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering took place at the Irvine Funeral Home & Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville followed by cremation at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland.

Interment will take place in Winchester in the spring.

Audrey Henry

1931 - 2004

On Thursday, November 18, 2004 at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville at the age of 73 years. Beloved wife of William Henry of Brockville and loving mother of Aileen McIntosh (Robert) of Oakville and Gordon Henry (Barbara) of Brockville. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Christina and Katharine McIntosh; Jordan, Taylor and Jared Henry. Also survived by her brother Jack Entwistle (Victoria) of Kanata and predeceased by her brother Kenneth Entwistle and his wife Vivian.

A private ceremony will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville with cremation and interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. The Henry family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and medical staff of the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care for their exceptional care and kindness.

Samantha Jane Pike

(Baby of Lisa and Tyler Pike, of Brockville)

After a premature delivery at 28 weeks and a courageous 17-week struggle in hospital, Samantha Jane (born July 26th, 2004) peacefully passed away on Monday, November 22, 2004 in the NICU at Kingston General Hospital. Forever loved by Mommy (Lisa) and Daddy (Tyler) and big brother Curtis (age 3). Cherished granddaughter of the late Lena and Ted Roberts of Brockville, and Valerie and Allan Carson and Richard and Lorraine Pike of Newmarket. Always remembered in the hearts of many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-grandparents and family friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Samantha’s life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In memoriams to the NICU at Kingston General Hospital will be gratefully acknowledged (with hopes at being directed to Isolation room improvements).

Margaret Estella Wyatt

1920 - 2004

On Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at the Brockville General Hospital; the former Margaret Van Dusen of Maynard at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Lyle Wyatt. Loving mother of Nancy Cook and her husband Clarence of Cardinal. Predeceased by her daughter Judith Ann Wyatt, by her brother Charles Van Dusen and by her sister Agnes MacDonald. Also survived by a niece Patricia and three nephews, Jerry, William and Harold.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, November 26th at the Roselawn Tribute Centre followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged. Entrusted to the care of Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

Shae Lydia Brown

November 28, 2004

Beloved newborn daughter of Timothy and Danielle (Sauve) Brown; passed away shortly after her birth at Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, November 28, 2004. Dear baby sister to Taylor and Kayla, and loved granddaughter of Maurice and Jacqueline Sauve, and Marjorie and the late Gordon Brown all of Brockville. Cherished niece of Chantelle & Steven Summers, Patricia Sauve, Cecil Brown, David and Valerie Brown, Donna and Darcy Roadhouse, Allan and Tracey Brown, Heather and Tom Baker, and Gloria and Blake Perry. Also survived by her many cousins.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. A private ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 4th with interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville General Hospital Maternal Child Unit or the Centennial Road Standard Church will be gratefully acknowledged.

Mary Dockum

1915 - 2004

At the Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday, November 30th, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Wife of the late George Henry Dockum. Loving Mother of Sandra Shepherd (Don) and Howard Dockum all of Mallorytown. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A family celebration of Mrs. Dockum's life will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Lyn on Friday at 11 am. Cremation took place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville General Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

Larry "Birdie" Snider

1958 - 2005

Suddenly in Brockville on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Lawrence Mallory Snider at the age of 47 years. Dear son of the late Morris and Beryl Snider. Loving brother of Ronald (Christine) of Uxbridge, Pat (Keith McLaughlin) of Brockville, Caroline (Rick Green) of Smiths Falls, David (Mary) of Prescott, Robert (Nancy) of Orangeville, Michael (Sandy) of Athens, George (Carrie) of Gananoque, Stephen (Shelley) of Charleston Lake, Beverley (Randy Wichers), and Kimberly (Tom) all of Brockville, and Barrie (Cathy) of Kingston. Fondly remembered by many aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel., 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Following cremation at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland, a private family graveside service will be held at Oakland cemetery on Wednesday. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Mr. Edwin S. Kirkland

1920 - 2004

Suddenly after a brief illness at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, October 22, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Ed was born in Perth, Ontario, the son of Stanley Kirkland and Margaret McCreary. He attended Perth grade schools and the Perth Collegiate. Thereafter he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Victoria College at the University of Toronto graduating in 1942. He was president of the Student's Administrative Council of the University of Toronto. During the war he served in the Royal Canadian Navy and later in the Fleet Air Arm in Britain. He returned to Osgoode Hall Law School and graduated as a lawyer in 1948. He practiced law briefly in Toronto and then upon the death of his father returned to Perth to practice law and be with his mother. It was there he met Barbara Brown of Aultsville, Ontario, then teaching in Perth and later they married in 1951. In 1950 he joined Bathurst Power and Paper as Assistant Secretary later being promoted to Secretary of the company which later became Consolidated Bathurst. He retired in 1983 and moved to Brockville in 1993. Ed was a devoted husband to Barbara for 53 years and beloved uncle to Lyle and Myrna Brown and Rick and Lou Ann Brown and their families.

A celebration of Ed's life will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at 1 pm followed by a gathering in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. A private interment will take place at the St. Lawrence Valley Union cemetery in Ingleside. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville General Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged.
