On Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at Brockville General Hospital, the former Audrey Rowena Seeley, daughter of the late Seymour Seeley and Rachel Oakes. She was predeceased by her husband, Sgt. Keneth M. Hillis of the R.C.A.F., killed in action during World War II on January 14, 1945. She is survived by one brother, C.W. Earl Seeley of Hamilton, a niece Debbie Parker and by nephews Eric Potter and Jeffrey and Paul Seeley. She was predeceased by one sister Phyllis Sneddon.

Carmen Rochon (nee Charbonneau)
passed away peacefully in hospital, Smiths Falls, on November 12, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Jean-Marc Rochon. She will be sadly missed by her children, sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

passed away peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on November 19, 2004. Louise is survived by her daughter Michele Day of Hawkesbury. She will be sadly missed by her dear sister and caregiver Micheline Summers and her husband Wilf of R.R. 2 Prescott. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

On Thursday, November 18, 2004 at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville at the age of 73 years. Beloved wife of William Henry of Brockville and loving mother of Aileen McIntosh (Robert) of Oakville and Gordon Henry (Barbara) of Brockville. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Christina and Katharine McIntosh; Jordan, Taylor and Jared Henry. Also survived by her brother Jack Entwistle (Victoria) of Kanata and predeceased by her brother Kenneth Entwistle and his wife Vivian.

After a premature delivery at 28 weeks and a courageous 17-week struggle in hospital, Samantha Jane (born July 26th, 2004) peacefully passed away on Monday, November 22, 2004 in the NICU at Kingston General Hospital. Forever loved by Mommy (Lisa) and Daddy (Tyler) and big brother Curtis (age 3). Cherished granddaughter of the late Lena and Ted Roberts of Brockville, and Valerie and Allan Carson and Richard and Lorraine Pike of Newmarket. Always remembered in the hearts of many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-grandparents and family friends.

Mr. Edwin S. Kirkland
1920 - 2004
Suddenly after a brief illness at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, October 22, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Ed was born in Perth, Ontario, the son of Stanley Kirkland and Margaret McCreary. He attended Perth grade schools and the Perth Collegiate. Thereafter he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Victoria College at the University of Toronto graduating in 1942. He was president of the Student's Administrative Council of the University of Toronto. During the war he served in the Royal Canadian Navy and later in the Fleet Air Arm in Britain. He returned to Osgoode Hall Law School and graduated as a lawyer in 1948. He practiced law briefly in Toronto and then upon the death of his father returned to Perth to practice law and be with his mother. It was there he met Barbara Brown of Aultsville, Ontario, then teaching in Perth and later they married in 1951. In 1950 he joined Bathurst Power and Paper as Assistant Secretary later being promoted to Secretary of the company which later became Consolidated Bathurst. He retired in 1983 and moved to Brockville in 1993. Ed was a devoted husband to Barbara for 53 years and beloved uncle to Lyle and Myrna Brown and Rick and Lou Ann Brown and their families.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at 1 pm followed by a gathering in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. A private interment will take place at the St. Lawrence Valley Union cemetery in Ingleside. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville General Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged.
