Peacefully at home on January 6, 2008 with her husband Tony by her side after fighting a courageous battle of cancer. Beloved daughter to John and Margaret Burns, daughter in law to Giovanni (predeceased Caterina) Maddalana .Loving sister of Shelley (Jerry) Maschewski, sister in law Angela (Joe) Monachino , Renata (Ed) Duncan, brother Mike (Sue) Maddalena. Cherished nieces and nephews Cassandra (Wes) Dorman, Caroline, Chantal, Jackie, Gabbie, John Michael, Rose, Catherine, Victoria and Christina. Treasured great niece and nephews Simon, Audrey and Alexander. BROWN, David Surrounded by his loving family, at the McMaster Health Centre on February 9, 2009, after a lengthy illness, Dave went peacefully to his eternal rest. He will be deeply missed and always loved by his devoted wife of 51 years Christine and his children David (Paul), Christopher (Norma) and Pauline Hiltz (Michael). He will be especially missed by his eight grandchildren Lindsay, Hayley, Marly, Jamie-Lee, Grace, Christopher, Andrea and Stephanie, his neighbours and many friends. Peacefully passed away on February, 1st, 2009 after a short struggle with cancer. Beloved husband of Caterina of 55 years. Devoted father of Frances (Francesco) Loiero and Tony (Rose). Loving grandfather of Salvatore, Catherine, Jenny, Big Joseph, Little Joseph, and Erica. Predeceased by brothers Antonio and Pasquale (Giannina). Survived by his brother Teodoro (Francesca) and sisters Marianna (Domenico), Caterina (Giuseppe) and sister in law Nina. Special uncle to Tina and Mario DiCesare and many other nieces, nephews and dear friends. Joe will be remembered for his devotion to his family, tireless work ethic and love for life. Mr. Job passed away peacefully at home with his wife Vicki at his side, on Friday, January 30, 2009. Michael is survived by his dear wife Vicki, loving son Michael Job Jr. (Kelly), step-son Michael Blanchard (Lara), cherished grandchildren Jaiden and Riley, brothers John, Wayne (Donna), Glen and Gary (Kim) and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Jack and Joan Job and sisters-in-law Heidi and Jackie. Michael was an employee of Stelco for 32 years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in the BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, (905-574-0405), 947 Rymal Rd. E., HAMILTON, from 12 noon - 1 p.m. with the Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. According to Michael's wishes cremation has taken place. Paul Francesco De Iulio
The Lord gave to us the most precious gift of a son for 29 years. How blessed we have been to share in his life and have unconditional love for each other at all times. His sense of humour and quick wit were amazing and a great source of enjoyment to all who knew him. There are no words to describe how he will be missed by his parents Susan and Michele De Iulio and his sister Lisa and husband Anthony Caruso. His greatest joys were definitely his niece Juliana otherwise known as Munchkin, and nephews Armando, aka the Destroyer, and Nathaniel his little buddy. He wove his way into the lives of many aunts, uncles and cousins and had a special place in his heart for Lexy, his soul sister. He will be sadly missed by many co-workers at HHS, McMaster site, who graciously provided Paul and his parents with a trip to Italy for a last visit with his Nonna and family which resulted in many happy memories and photos to cherish forever. How do we say goodbye? There are no words, except, “We love you deeply and forever. Beloved husband and best friend of Rosalia “Lia” Cocchiara for 55 years. Loving father of Anna and her husband Tony Panacci and Philip Cocchiara and partner Catherine Tully. Much loved Nonno to Anthony and Joey. Dear brother of Antonio Cocchiara and his wife Natala of Italy, Pietro Cocchiara and his wife Maria, and the late Giacomo Cocchiara. Brother-in-law of Giusepina and the late Paolo Truncale, and Antonietta and the late Calogiro Costa. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and his friends. Cherished and devoted grandmother of Kevin (Kristine), Brian (Jennifer), Andrew, Kyle, Robyn and great grandchildren, Julianne, Elizabeth and Emma. Predeceased by her sisters Mae and Jean and brothers Jim, Jack and Joe. Betty loved her family and friends and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked a good game of bridge and loved to travel to many parts of the world, of course Scotland was her favorite destination! Loving father of Cora-Anne (Al) Steinbach. Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Jeremy and Gregory Steinbach. Predeceased by siblings Kenneth, Marjory (Jim) Rattray, Gladys (Perce) Inwood, and Dorothy (Leslie) Robinson. Will also be fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and God-daughter Carol Fossey.
