Simoes, Mario Luis 1969-2010
Our earthly Angel has gone to Heaven and will be now watching us from above.
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mario Simoes announces his sudden passing on August 27, 2010. He is the beloved husband of Suzette and an amazing father to his two daughters Megan and Vanessa. He is the cherished son of Amelia and Manuel Simoes, beloved brother of Dorindo (Dina) and Adelio (Catarina), and wonderful uncle to Marcos, Diogo and Gustavo, all of Portugal and loving son-in-law of Maria and Manuel Henriques. Loving brother-in-law to Paula (Peter and Serene), Carlos (Gabriela), and Diane. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends in the Templemead neighbourhood.
Mario touched all hearts and was a kind and generous soul. No words can express the depths of our sadness or how we will miss you. Whenever we feel the wind blow, it will be your angel wings comforting us in love.
Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Rd E, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Rosary at 3:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at St Margaret Mary Church (20 Idlewood Ave, Hamilton) at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic cemetery (681 Mud St, Stoney Creek).

Tattrie, Lorraine (nee Langford)
1927-2010
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lorraine on Saturday, August 21, 2010, in her 84th year. Adored wife of Arthur for 59 years. Cherished mother of Sandra (Joe), Marie (Bob), Steven (Anne), Gail (Ken), Tim (Dina), Mary and the late David, and Donna. Beloved grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Bill (Bernice), the late Lillian (Jack), Sheila and the late John. Lorraine will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

1939-2010
Jacobus Antonius (Jack) Adriaanse of Hamilton after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, May 13, 2010 in his 71st year. Loving husband of Penny. Dear father of Greg of Waterloo and David of Hamilton. Loving Opa of Ryan, Emma and Grace Adriaanse. Beloved son of the late Jacomine and Cornelius Adriaanse of The Netherlands. Jack is survived by one brother and three sisters in the Netherlands. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

HUGHES, Phyllis May
1922-2010
With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Phyllis on November 18, 2010 at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington. Wife of 63 years to John, devoted mother to Patricia (Harry) and Karen (Gary), daughter to the late Abe and Elizabeth Ann Wilde (Coventry, England). Predeceased by Sisters Rene and Barbara and Brothers George, Tom and John and survived by Sister June.
Born in Coventry, England, Phyllis immigrated to Canada with John and the girls in 1956. Until retirement, she served as a salesperson, including for many years at Eaton’s and Harry Minden Jewelers in Hamilton, but also enjoyed using her artistic flair and florist’s training to make wreaths and bouquets for family and friends. Travelling was her passion, whether to international destinations or to local sites. She was a strong, loyal and honest woman who lived her life with integrity. She was committed to raising her daughters to be strong and independent women.

Phyllis’s life will be celebrated at a Commemorative Gathering and Reception on Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 12 noon to 2pm at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Dr., Burlington.

Latimer, James
1931-2010
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Saturday November 20, 2010. James Latimer in his 79th year. Beloved husband of 55 years to Barbara. Loving father of Kevin (Marjorie), Tracey (Keith) and Bryan (Dawn). Dearest grandfather of Jenny, Jessica, Holly, Sarah, Stephen, Kyle and Bonnie. Dear great grandfather of Liam, Maddison, Kane, Griffin and Brooklyn. Predeceased by one great grandchild Kevin James.
At the request of the family there will be no public visitation or service. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (across from the Royal Botanical Gardens), BURLINGTON (905-527-0405).

After a courageous battle with cancer she is resting peacefully in the Everlasting Arm.
Loving wife to Denrick, cherished mother to Shyanne (Martin), Denise (Seymour), Debra and Tanya; beloved grandmother to Aiyana, Niya, Rumell, Isla and Zaylen.
She will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters in Canada and aboard, extended families and friends.
The family is grateful for the outpour of support and care given by Dr. Moens and the 3C Medical Team at Juravinski Hospital.

Accadia, Jack 1938-2009
The family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Jack on August 26, 2009 at the age of 70. Loving husband of Anne. Devoted father of Jakki (Geoff), Steven and David. Cherished grandfather of Nathan, Zachary and Jacob. Dear son-in-law of Olwen Belton. Jack will be missed by his brothers and sisters Angelo (Jean), Michael (Helen), Loretta, Adeline (Paul). Jack is predeceased by his sister Theresa (Leo). Brother-in-law to Lee (Dawn), David, and Gwen (Gord). Jack will always be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Bulger and the nurses at West Haldimand General Hospital for their care and compassion during this difficult time. A celebration of Jack’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Paramount Drive Alliance Church, 1035 Paramount Dr. Stoney Creek. Service will take place at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior at 10:00am. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to Paramount Alliance Church or West Haldimand General Hospital, 3rd Floor.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our precious Mum, on Friday January 16, 2009, three weeks after her 95th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Addison. Cherished mother of Clifford & Marilyn, Peter & Barbara, Christopher & Debbie, Cheryl & Terry Peters & Michael (predeceased). At the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Monday November 3, 2008, John in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Christina Herckenrath. Dear father of Brian. John is survived by his nephew Alfred Madgett of Georgetown and several other relatives in The Netherlands and Australia. The family wishes to thank the staff at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for all their efforts. Private cremation took place with inurnment at Holy Sepulchre cemetery , Burlington. Quietly at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, November 15, 2010, age 52 years. Loving wife of 29 years to John. The best “MOM” to Jeremy, Kaitlyn and Megan. Beloved daughter of Cliff Crosby and the late Charmaine. Will be sadly missed by her sister Charmaine Roberts (Rob) and brothers Cliff Jr. (Carol), Chris (Carol) and John. Predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Frank and Maria De Clerico and brother-in-law Angelo and survived by brother-in-law Ralph (Kerrie) and sisters-in-law Mary Ann Lera and Nadia Hamilton (Dave). Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. Loved and supported by her many friends. Special thanks to the BBC for their unwavering love, compassion and presence.

At The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington on Friday, June 26, 2009 in her 73rd year. Loving wife of the late Herbert Agnes (1985). Dear mother of Brian (Nicole), Nancy Deley (Kevin) and George (Jackie). Survived by her grandchildren Jenny, Erica, Amanda, Ben and Zaac.

Jo left us suddenly, on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the age of 27. Much loved daughter of Jan McAdam (John) and Al Cunningham. Always remembered by Brian Cunningham (Adriane, Sadie and Calvin), loved and missed by her forever sister Heather Felker (Jay), and unconditionally loved by Lisa Chiarot (Shayne). Auntie Jo Jo was adored and very much loved by her niece, Jenna. Dearly loved by her fiancé John Majstorovic. Jo’s hairdressing career was her life; her everyday clients were like family to her, and she will be greatly missed by many friends and loved ones. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Rd E, HAMILTON ((05.574.0405) on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 6-8pm, and Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 12-1pm, when a Celebration of Jo’s Life will be held in the Bay Gardens Chapel at 1pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada in Jo’s memory would be appreciated by her family. Jo, you’ll never be forgotten.
