passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday Nov 18, 2010 at St Joseph’s hospital in her 79th year. She will be sadly missed by Carl, her sons Gregory (Judy) Tom (Laurie), Brian and her daughters Linda (Jim), Dianna (Ron), and Daughter in-law Brenda. Predeceased by her son Richard. Grandma will also be missed by her grandchildren Barb (Mauro and family), Dan (Corrine and Family), Michael and Emma, Trish (Jay and Family), Laura and John, Kelly (Dan and Family), Ashley and Michael, Aaron, Brianne, Chris and Joey. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edward (Eddie) Hunt in his 87th year, on Saturday October 9, 2010. Survived by his wife of 61 years Leona., daughters Dianna, Lori and son-in-law Kevin Whiteford. Brother of Bill (Lois) of Banff, AB, Jerry (Jean) of Hamilton and sister Joyce Bridge of Hamilton. Cherished grandpa to Tracy (Bill), Kimberly (Donald), Christopher (Stephanie) Leanne (Tom) and Adam. Great Grandpa to Hayden, Sarah, Emily, Abigail and his name sake Edward. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Dad you have given us many happy memories and we’ll hold them in our hearts forever. The sadness of losing you will never go away.
At Edward’s request their will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church (corner of Queenston Road and Parkdale Avenue) on Saturday October 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Poppy Fund through any branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Cherished son of Gayle of Dundas and Bob of Burlington, died suddenly on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Mourned by his brother Jim of Vernon, BC, and his sister Holly Pilz, her husband Bob and sons Zachary, Joshua and Wyatt of Barrie. Also missing Jerry is Grandma Blakley of Weyburn, Saskatchewan and many aunts, uncles and cousins across the West, including his daughter Kelsey Gayle of Calgary, AB. Will be greatly missed by Jill and her children Christine and Mathew of Mississauga. A family service will be on Thursday, September 23rd, 1:30 p.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Dr., Burlington. Donations may go to the Princess Margaret Head and Neck Cancer Clinic.

Peacefully, with family by her side at the Henderson Hospital, on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the age of 61. Janet was born on May 26, 1949 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Remembered by her favorite son, Ron Pivatt and his wife, Christine, and their children Kate and Spencer.
Also remembered by her #2, Tracey Smith and her husband Darryl, and their children Madison and Quinn.
Survived by her sister Margaret (John) Britton, and their daughter Nicole, and children.
Will be especially missed by her companion Garfield Hotrum and family.
Always remembered by many nieces and nephews in Scotland and England.

It is with very heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Tucker announce his death, after a life long battle with Leigh’s Disease, on Thursday, September 16, 2010, age 4 years. Cherished son of Kari and David Patterson. Loving brother to his sister’s Tori and Avery. Will be forever remembered by Baba Mary Patterson, Grandma Dodi Van Schaik and predeceased by Grandpa Larry Van Schaik (May 2009). Survived by his loving Grandpa Eugene Shalay. Beloved nephew to aunts and uncles Michelle and John Crowe of Dundas, Jamie and Valerie Shalay of Maple Ridge, B.C., Andrew Shalay of Brantford and “Honorary” Aunt Jamie Posavad. Tucker will be sadly missed by his cousins Jackson, Daniel, Kaitlyn and Zoey.

KNEELAND, Margaret Mary (nee Luchak)
1925-2010
Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep in her own home on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010.
Mama (as she liked to be called) was known for her immaculate appearance and beautiful silver hair and a strong will, which she inherited from her mother. Mama was born in 1925 in Hamilton and was the fourth of ten children of Eli Luchak and Xenia (gennie) Simonovich Luchak. She grew up on James Street North.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd (Peter) in 2008 and her daughter Allison in 1954. She leaves four grieving children, Mary Elizabeth (Mordechai), John, Paul, Diane (Aaron) and four sisters, Helen in the United States, Patricia, Irene (Charles), Jennie and two brothers George (Elizabeth) in the United States and Fred (Mary Louise). She was predeceased by her brothers John and William and her sister Violet.
She is survived by more than 30 nephews and nieces in Canada, the United States, France and Brazil. She is survived by her brother-in-law David and sister-in-law Jane Goepfert, both in Massachusetts.
Mama worked her way through University, graduating in 1946 from McMaster University with an Honours Degree in French and English. Mama was a talented writer and artist and demonstrated her creativity in her stories and pictures for her children and by making most of her own clothes, as well as clothes for her children. She also made her own hats.
She married in 1947 and they moved to the Chicago area where all their children were born. She worked for Canada Manpower in the 1970’s and 1980’s. She and husband Peter travelled in Europe and the Caribbean and in later years loved playing “Wheel of Fortune” at various Casinos.
A few weeks before her passing, she tried beer at the Erie Beach Hotel for the first time and discovered she liked it. Special thanks are offered to her caregivers Elfi Polster, Nancy Hawkins, Marilyn Buttenham, Paulette Burgess and Acclaim workers Janet, Carol, Tamara, Becca, Jennifer and Elsa. Thank you to Dr. Randolph Cross who was always available and very patient.

Peacefully at McMaster Hospital on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at the age of 69. Adored and dear wife of Michael Donnelly for 49 years. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Mike and Lisa Donnelly, and Cheryl Donnelly. Cherished grandmother of Ashley Donnelly. Beloved sister of Barry Saunders, Joan and Jane Churchill, and sister-in-law of Gail Sullivan. Lucia will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lucia was an active and vibrant woman whose passions included golf, tennis player and a gardener. She was known for her infectious smile and love of life.
