Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Grace Villa, on Monday, April 26, 2010, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Norma (2005). Proud father to Danny, Joe and his wife Mary, Elsa Paredes and her husband Juan and Lina Bollert and her husband Brian. Predeceased by his children Angela and Ugo. Cherished Nonno to Peter, Christopher, Ashley, Michael, Brian, Sebastian, Noah, Alessia and Lauren. Loving brother of Pasquale (late Faustina), Vanda Notaro (late Rosario), Paolo and the late Umberto. Dear brother-in-law of Carolina Mirabelli (late Cesare), Ivo and Maria Costanzo, Ezio Costanzo and Pina, Alberto and Ginetta Costanzo, Dino and Anna Costanzo, Bice Vivolo (late Antonio) and Lidia Costanzo. Predeceased by Renato and Maria Costanzo. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy.

Entered into rest, peacefully at Idlewyld Manor on Thursday, February 18, 2010. Loving mother of Frances (Mario) Pillinini. Dearest Nonna of Anna (Albert) Gusenbauer, Mark (Corie) Pillinini and Linda Pillinini. Cherished Great-Nonna of Kaela, Erika, Kyle and Sarah. Predeceased by her husband Vincenzo, her sister Ersilia Leo and brothers Mario and Nick, all of Hamilton and sister Dora of Italy. Lina was an employee of Imperial Tobacco in Hamilton and Guelph until her retirement in 1979. The family would like to thank Idlewyld Nursing Home, Orchard View Staff for their care and love shown to Elena. A special thank you to Maureen and Dawn.

Coloma, Ernesto Domingo 1934-2009

Born August 21, 1934 in Isabela, Philippines and happily married for 43 years to Puring Carlos of Pampanga, Philippines. He came to Canada in 1968 seeking a better life for his family. Ernesto will be sadly missed by his four sons and one daughter: Randy, Annalyn, Lester, Noel and Norman. Beloved grandfather to Sebastian, Nathan and Serena. Dear brother to Jerry/Matin, Norma/Mario, Oscar/Bien, Gaudencio (RIP), Rolly/Aida, and Alex/Norrie. Missed by friends and relatives in Canada, U.S. and the Philippines. Collins (Irvine), Sandra (Sandy) 1940-2010

Suddenly March 31st 2010 at Simcoe Ontario; while gardening at home; in her 70th year, Sandy Collins (nee Catherwood) beloved daughter of the late Isaac “Ike” Catherwood and his late wife Doris; dear mother of the late Timothy Irvine, Cindy Pereira and her husband Anthony; Todd Irvine and his wife Lynda; Richard Irvine and his wife Sherry and Melissa Irvine. Mom is predeceased by our father and her former husband Roger “Duke” Irvine. Dear Nanna of Madison “Maddy”, Ryan, Dylan, and Dakota; Great grandmother of Preston; beloved sister of the late Monte Catherwood and his wife Teresa and the late Gary Catherwood. Sandy is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Monday, April 5, 2010 from 6 – 9 p.m. at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington, ON 905.527.0405 ( located directly behind The Royal Botanical Gardens) to say a gentle goodbye. Cremation will follow.

Sandy spent many years living in the Barbados W.I., her wishes include returning of some of her remains to the island where she had many friends, felt much peace and a place she loved so dearly. Moms remaining ashes will be interred with her very much loved son Timothy. Mom made friends easily and every where she went. All her life Sandy had a very strong love and connection to animals.

Cnossen, Peter 2008-2008

Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Thursday December 18, 2008, after a short illness, at the age of 73. Born in Sneek, The Netherlands in 1935, Peter and his family emigrated to Canada in 1949. He was the husband and bestest boyfriend of his wife of 45 years Diane Herechuk-Cnossen. Peter was the proud and devoted father to his two daughters Christine Bovis- Cnossen and Tanya Cnossen and his son and best mate Christopher Bovis. He was the doting Papa of his grandson Peter Christie Cnossen. He will be fondly remembered by many friends and family members including siblings Tinie, Kees (Hillie), and Wiebe (Pat). In accordance with Peter's wishes, cremation has already taken place. A Service to remember Peter will be held in the Chapel at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (across from the Royal Botanical Gardens), BURLINGTON (905-527-0405) on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. At the family's request, please do not send flowers. Cliffe, Frederick Walter "Fred" 1927-2009

Displaying courage and dignity in dealing with a challenging degenerative disease. Filled with pride in the example he set, loved always and forever by his wife of 59 years, June and his children Peggy (Alain), Pat (Rick), John (Jacqueline) and Julie (Steven) as well as eight loving grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Fred will also be missed by his siblings: Dorothy, Don and Bill. Fred was a teacher at Ancaster High; member of Ancaster and Burlington Historical Societies; Ancaster Lawn Bowling Club; Aldershot Badminton Club; and the Aldershot Community Recreation Association. CLEMENGER, Elizabeth Ellen "Beth" (nee Stinson) passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2010 at M.U.M.C. Beloved mother of Joshua, Luke and Emily, wife of James and daughter of John and Tracey Stinson of Cincinnati, aunt of John (J.T.). Predeceased by her beloved brother Beau (John). Beth will be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends scattered around the world, particularly in the USA, UK, and Colombia. Beth touched the lives of so many as a friend, nurse, advocate and teacher, especially in Hamilton, Toronto and in remote communities in Northern Ontario. Heartfelt thanks to Nancy and to Beth's friends and colleagues in the ER and ICU at Mac for your care for Beth and kindness and support for us. A celebration of her life will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Saturday, January 1, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. At Beth's request there will be no visitation or interment service. CLAPPISON, Vera Mary 1927-2010

After a lengthy, painful illness, Vera passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Adored wife of 62 years to Maurice. Devoted mother to Paul and his wife Michele and Debra and her husband Andrew. Predeceased by her daughter Pamela. Loving Nanny and Grandma to Jennifer, Stephanie, Geoffrey, Lorraine, Jacqueline, Jonathan and Janet and Great Grandma to Christopher, Michael, Bryce, Nicholas, Pamela and Hannah. Loving father of Sharon Ballah (Bevan), Jean Mondoux (Gary), Mary Kelly, Michael (Marilyn), and Kevin (Nancy). Survived by his 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Gerry was retired from Atlas Steel with 35 years of service. A special thank you to the staff and residents of Aberdeen Gardens for their care and friendship. Casarsa, Kathleen 1928-2009

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Kathleen, beloved wife of the late Guido Casarsa. She died peacefully at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Hamilton on Thursday, January 8, 2009 in her 81st year. Mom will be greatly missed by all her children and many grandchildren; David (Janine, Christine, Alicia), Karen Lilley (Cliff, Elizabeth, and the late Stephen), Stephen (Clara, Sara, Lindsey), Robert (Kerry, Rylie, Andrew, Matthew), Paul (Kathi, Kailyse, Anna, Shayne), Cathleen Beattie (Paul, Angelina, Amelia). Much loved sister of Mildred Johnson (Len), the late Audrey Marable-Fink (the late Sam Marable, the late John Fink), the late Edward (Ted) Smith (Cathy Piva). Loving sister-in-law of Elda Boccolon (the late Celso), Sylvia Foster (Alec), Nellie Casarsa and loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom enjoyed camping at Killbear Park with family and friends, her Tuesday afternoon bowling league, and travelling. She fulfilled a life-long dream and returned to her birth place in Bolton, Lancashire England where she celebrated her 80th birthday with her two daughters. To Mom, family meant everything and she viewed her children and grandchildren as her greatest pride and joy. She leaves us to again be with her beloved husband Guido in the Kingdom of God and is reunited with departed family and friends. After a courageous battle with cancer he passed away at home with family by his side on Friday October 24, 2008 at the age of 62. Dear brother of Carlo and his wife Anna, Teresa Di Febo and her husband Antonio, and Emilia Prisco and her husband Raffaele of Italy. “Uncle Charlie” will be lovingly missed by Carmela, Adela and her husband Frank (great-nieces Victoria and Isabella), Maria, Nick, Adele and her husband Nigel, Enrico, Luisa and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Italy. Predeceased by parents Nicola and Adele Caruso; siblings Primiano and surviving wife Teresa, Salvatore and surviving wife Angelina Caruso and Angela Di Tomaso and her husband Pasquale. Elinore Carter (Nichols) passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4th, 2009 at Brant Centre with her family at her side. Elinore was a devoted and loving mother. She is survived by daughters Gail, (Denis), Valerie, Marilyn, Norma, Barbara (Louie) and son Glenn. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in his 63rd year. Will be dearly missed by his wife Jackie. Always loved and forever remembered by his son Dean and his wife Kelly. Cherished by his daughters Vicky (Scott), Nicola (Simon) and Amy. Cherished Grandpa Paul to Owen, Benny, Oliver and Eli. Survived by his sister Betty Hopkins. Remembered always by Dean’s mom Cathy and his brother and sister Luke and Emily. Will never be forgotten by his friends at the garage on the 2nd Concession. Paul was a 10 year employee and property manager with Bentall Real Estate.

Maegan was taken from us in Hamilton on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the innocent age of 15. Lovingly survived by her mother Debbie; brother Justin; grandparents Shirley and Gordon Carmichael; uncles Shawn and Buddy; aunt Caroline; and numerous relatives. She was a dear friend and will be missed by all. Carey, John Stanley 1923-2008

Peacefully at McMaster University Hospital on March 2, 2008. Beloved husband of Jean and dear brother to Eric Carey of Derbyshire, England. John was employed by Westinghouse for over 35 years and a proud Canadian. John will be remembered by his many friends and family for his great sense of humour, spontaneous serenades and wonderful smile. In respecting John's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. A special thank you to McMaster Family Practice Unit and Bay Gardens Funeral Home. Carbone, Savina 1927-2009

Peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, November 29, 2009, at 82 years of age.

Beloved wife of Fortunato Carbone. Much loved mother to Santo and Maria Carbone, and Norma Gravina. Mother in law to Denyse Carbone and Joe Gravina. Cherished Nonna to Joel and Nicolas Carbone, and Maxine and Nicole Gravina.

Predeceased by her sisters Erminia, Lina and Caterina, and brothers Joe and Domenico. Survived by her brothers Alfredo and Jimmy. Also predeceased by her sisters in law Anna and Antonia, survived by her in laws, Angelo and Elsie, Grazia, Rita and Richard, Ida and Tom, Cosmo, Angela, and Helen.

Will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Savina’s kind and gentle nature and generosity will be lasting memories to all.

Thank you to the paramedics and Emergency OR staff, and special thanks to the ICU East staff at the Hamilton General Hospital.
