Peacefully, at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga on Sunday, January 20, 2008, age 72. Loving husband of Maya. Devoted father of Ksenija and life partner Larry of Burlington and Davor and his wife Angella of Brampton. Private Cremation, Bayview Crematorium, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving son and brother in his 51st year. Beloved son of Roberta Zelinski and the late George Dimitry. Beloved step son of the late Leo Zelinski (Mar. 2009). Dear brother of Mary Lou and Jim Taylor and Nancy and Paul Howard. Nephew of Paul and Valerie Smith, Nick and Gerrie (deceased) Dimitry, Luba and John Glachan and Helen (deceased) and Brian Shedden. Rick will be dearly missed by his many cousins, friends, co-workers and special companion Tammi. Rick will always be remembered for his kind nature, quick wit, love for the outdoors, all animals and his great sense of humour. DINGFELD, Auguste

On May 30, 2009, our beloved mother died at home in Dundas, in her 93rd year. Dear wife of the late Otto Dingfeld. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Hilda and Klaus Freudenreich, Otto and Karin Dingfeld, Renate and Bob Davidson, Werner Dingfeld and Maria Lio. Cherished grandmother of Barbara Sonier, Werner Freudenreich, Bruno Freudenreich, Eric and Amanda Dingfeld, Erika and Robert Sager, Renate Dingfeld, Emilie Dingfeld and Karl Dingfeld and Devon Lio. Auguste was the proud great grandmother of six great grandsons, Joseph, Jakob, Lukas, Malcolm, Joshua, Gavin. She was predeceased by her brothers Karl, Adolf, Rudolf, and sisters, Emilie and Anna. Dear Aunt of many nieces and nephews in Canada and Germany.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive (across from the Royal Botanical Gardens), Burlington (905-527-0405) on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10am, with internment at Woodland cemetery to follow. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. John’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.

Dixon, Percival 'Percy' 1927-2009

passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Percy passed away at the Henderson Hospital on October 20, 2009 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Donna (Cullwick) of 50 years. Loving father of Janice (predeceased 1996), Pamela Dixon (Brian Biffis), Brenda McKay (Ray Di Lullo), Ken Dixon (Carole Turcot), Pierrefonds, Quebec. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Christopher and Kyle, Kelsey and Cameron, Pierre-Andre and Patrice and his sisters Gladys (Ken Davis), Margaret (Bob Anderson 1996) and sister-in-law Betty (Ralph West 1997). Predeceased by 4 brothers and 4 sisters and survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Percy’s Life will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Rd. E (between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa) HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2pm. Sincere thanks are extended to the staff of Clinic E at the Juravinski Cancer Care Centre, the staff of E-2 of the Henderson Hospital and the home care team- Kathryn, Janice and Bonnie. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated by the family.

Douthart, George 1936-2009

June 5, 1936 – April 19, 2009
Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, George joined his “pal” and grandson Christopher on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Sadly missed by his one true love and best friend of 51 wonderful years of marriage, Lina. Treasured and adored by his children Danny (Kathy) and Julie (Sharon) and his grandsons Christopher, Ryan and Patrick. Beloved son of the late Mary and Harry Douthart and son in law to Rosina (Late Carmelo) Bellino. Cherished brother of Ann and Ed Preston and nieces Terry, Carol, Lori, Donna and their families. Loving brother in law to Matilda (Late Gaetano) Pannucci and nephews Mark, Gary and their families. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, (between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa) HAMILTON on Wednesday April 22 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Followed by a funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. Donations would be greatly appreciated by the family to B.R.A.I.N Child in George’s name.

Suddenly, at the Henderson General Hospital, on Friday, June 25, 2010, Philomena Duggan, in her 74th year, beloved wife of Matthew for 52 years. Dear Mother of Paul (Allison) of Burlington, Brian (Connie) of Calgary, Alberta and Matthew Jr. of Burlington. Dearest grandmother of Cheri, Mikey, Kailee, Gerrad and Rhett. Sister to Marion, Muriel and Eileen. Philomena loved to dance and so she was an avid dancer and a great stepdancer. She loved her sons and adored all of her grandchildren. Philomena thoroughly enjoyed her work as a waitress/bartender at many workplaces in the area and always gave her time and energy to her customers. She will be missed by many.
Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton (905-574-0405) on Monday.June 28, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Cherished grandfather to David, Taylor, Kristen, Ryan, Shaun, Paul and Melissa and fondly remembered by his 4 great grandsons. Survived by his sister Muriel Hardie.

Peacefully at Burlington on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Roy was born in Grimsby, England and served in WWII as a Navigator in the R.A.F. Loved husband of the late Jean East. Loving father of Roger (Tracy), Carol (Mike) and Mark (Jarate). Will be remembered by his grandchildren Simon, Emily, Matthew, Kelly, Nick and great-grandchildren Matthew, Amy and Thomas.
