It is with great sadness that the family announces Fern’s peaceful passing on January 24, 2010, in her 81st year. Fern is survived by Bob, her beloved husband of 59 years. Loving mother to Joyce Morrison and her husband Ric, Karen Lape and her husband Bill. Proud grandmother to Kristin, Darrell and his wife Brittnay and thrilled to be a great grandmother to their son Jack. Fern will be remembered fondly by a multitude of other family members, neighbors and friends, especially her “2nd” family, the Shields clan. After a short illness, we sadly announce the passing of Eileen at the Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton, on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Reg (1994). She will be remembered with love and laughter by her daughter and son-in-law Geraldine and Ken Tregunno of Dundas, and her cherished grandsons, Jeremy Kowalyshyn of Calgary and Brett Tregunno of Peterborough. Predeceased by her sister Lillian and brothers Stanley and Russell. Eileen will be fondly remembered by her many friends including those at the Sackville Seniors Centre and the Royal Canadian Legion. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Cathie peacefully passed away, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 57 on Thursday, December 10th, 2009. Cathie will be missed by her devoted husband of 36 years, John. A loving mother to Stephanie (Chris Blunsdon), son Mark, and a doting Grandma to Aiden. Daughter of Martha Hall and big sister to Ann, June, and Mandy. Special friend and niece to Sally and Bill Hogg. Will be missed by friends Judi, Carol, Marie, Lorna, and Susan. She will be missed by extended family, friends in Canada and Scotland. Cathie cherished her time as a lunchroom supervisor for the HWDSB and then as a PSW - and friendly fixture - at Macassa Lodge. Cathie spent her life helping others, with a genuine spirit and her infectious smile. She definitely lived a hundred lives in a very short time. Deepest thanks to Dr. S. Yu, Dr. Tozer, Dr. Bertothy, the amazing staff at Juruvinski, Henderson Ward E3 and all of the “angels” at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice – where Cathie had a beautiful end to a beautiful life. She is survived by her son Steven (Donna) of Wilton, Connecticut and her daughter Margo (James Mundle) of Burlington. She will be sadly missed by her three grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) and Michelle Sams and Heather Mundle. Genie is also survived by her brother Craig Cassels of Toronto.

Lee was a loving companion and husband to Genie (nee Cassels) for 56 years. He passed away at the Carpenter Hospice on Wednesday September 10th after a courageous battle with cancer. Along with his wife, Lee is survived by his son Steven (Donna) of Wilton, Connecticut and daughter Margo (Jim Mundle) of Burlington. He will be sadly missed by his three grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) and Michelle Sams and Heather Mundle.
Lee enjoyed life and loved to make people laugh. Some of his happiest times were spent sailing with his son and crew aboard their boat “Sandstorm”. He loved to race and he liked to win. Over the years he acquired a strong work ethic. He ran a small company along with the help of this daughter and he kept at it until almost the end.
