Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at the home of her daughter Nancy, on Monday August 11, 2008 in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late David Scott (1989). Loving mother of Linda McLam (Jim) of Wyoming, Tom (Marilyn), David (Freda), Nancy, Janet Wessel (Pieter), all of Hamilton and the late Larry (June 2008). Will be remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Larry Salvisburg (Doreen). Special thanks to Freda for the tender loving care she gave Mom – Love Nancy and Janet, and also to the CCAC. Private Cremation, Bayview Crematorium, Burlington. Scott, William Thomas Cunningham 1932-2008

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Bill Scott surrounded by his family at McNally House, Grimsby on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Iolla (Hill) for 58 years. Loved father of Roberta Greenwood (Morley), Dan (Inger), Hank (Annette), Joanne Robitaille (Ed), and predeceased by his son John (Doreen). He will be greatly missed by his (23) grandchildren Chad (Rhonda), Jeremy (Leanne), Ben, Steve, Danielle (Jeremy), Rodrick (Fiona), Tanya (Anthony), Amanda, Emery, Ethan, Ezra, Margaret (Rob), Dan (Ceridwen), Will (Sarah), Rebecca, Christine, Rachel (Adam), Mark (Alicia), Caitlin, Carlee, Audrey, Jerome, and Kelly. Also, 16 Great-grandchildren: Jade, Wyatt, Jack, Liam, Lynette, Rod, Natasha, Austin, Cole, Nevan, Matteo, Linnea, Olivia, Mitchell, Evan, and Quinn. Dear brother of Eva Perry, Jack and Earl Scott. Will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was a full-time farmer for over fifty years, and proud founding member of the Niagara Area Landowners Association. He was known as a man of principles, infinite strength, and love. Shaw, Allan 1922-2009

Al passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Henderson General Hospital at the age of 87 years. Survived by Ida, his loving wife of 60 years, daughters Mary Theresa (Doug Stirling) and Rosalie Ann. Cherished grandfather of Andrew and Vanessa. Al also leaves behind his sisters Carmela Alfano, Mary Ellis and Grace Nunziato. Predeceased by parents Maria and Vince, siblings Ramona, Connie, Leonard and Rosalie and many nieces, nephews and friends. Al served with the Air Force during WWII. Al was the Owner & Operator of Al's Electric Service. A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses in the ICU Unit at Henderson Hospital for their compassion and care. Loving father of Leslie, Karen Shimmin both of England, Dawn Latimer (Bryan), and Elaine Manner (Tanner) both of Burlington and the late Kenny (Margie). Cherished grandad of John, Kenneth, Sharon, Samantha, Neil, Lisa, Sarah, Roxanne, Stephen, Zachary, Bonnie, and great-grandad of Dylan, Braden, Conner, Callum, Skye, Isaac, Madison, Marc, Kya, Mille, Ellie, Zach. Loving husband to Incoronata of 53 years. Beloved father to John and Natasha Siena, Lucy and Alfredo Sardo, and Christina Siena. Nonno to Santina and Gino Pagliaro, Cora Sardo, Katya, Cora and Emmett Siena.

Predeceased by his father Giovanni Siena, and mother Lucia Siena (née Gravina). Also predeceased by brothers Michele and Matteo Siena; brothers-in-law Michele, Giuseppe, and sister-in-law Nunziatina Masciale.

Survived by sisters Maria (Frank) DiCosmo, and Filomena (Pasquale) Sebastiano; sisters-in-law Anna and Giuseppina Siena, Bambina Masciale, Antonietta (Giuseppe) Sollazzo, Donatella Masciale, Carmela (Giuseppe) Impagliatelli, and Rosa (Mauro) Spaziani; and brother-in-law Filippo Natale.

Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Rd E, HAMILTON, 905.574.0405, on Monday, January 18, 2010, from 6pm-9pm, and Tuesday, January 19, 2010, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held Tuesday at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Annunciation of Our Lord, on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Bayview Mausoleum, in Burlington.

Our Heavenly Father took unto Himself, our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Sunday, August 24, 2008 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Trijntje “Trudy” (nee deJong) for 65 years. Loving father of Diane Vanderdeen (Eppe), Grace Vanderdeen (Bill), Annemarie Bartels (Bill), Rick Sikkema, Pieter Sikkema (Ali), Linda Roza (Abe) and Chris Sikkema (Jackie). Cherished grandpa of nineteen grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by his sister Janny Wieringa (Edo) of The Netherlands. Visitation will be held at Ebenezer Canadian Reformed Church (607 Dynes Road, Burlington) on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenwood cemetery. SIMPSON, James (Jim)
passed away in his 90th year. After a brief illness on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at his residence, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 68 years. Loving father of Jane (Gord) and Jo-Anne (Larry) cherished grandfather of Cindy & John LeBlanc and Derek Lees and great grandfather of Megan and Laura LeBlanc and Jarrett and Chloe Lees. Dear brother of Tom and Bill. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Robina and Janet.
Jim was a R.C.A.F war veteran of W.W.II and a retired Stelco employee of 45 years.

In loving memory of Patsy Singh, who passed away on June 5, 2010, after a short battle with cancer in her 74th year.

Beloved wife to Serafino DeCarolis. Loving mother of Dennis (Joan), Audrey (Walt) Wagner, Leonard (Julie), Raymond (Connie), Donna (John), and Deryck (Sandra). Devoted Grandma to 11 Grandkids: Christine, Dennis Jr, Jennifer, Tanya, Kandi, Amanda, Robbie, Katrina, Robert, Natasha, and Rachel, and 5 Great Grands: Bailey, Brenden, Kianna, Makayla, and Aryonna.

Special thanks to the many doctors, hospital and palliative care staff.

Singh, Ragbar "Cecil" 1929-2008

Peacefully on November 11, 2008 at the Henderson Hospital, Cecil passed away at the age of 79. Dear husband of Betty. Beloved father of Lakeram Singh (Mala), Chandra Gajadhar (the late Dennis), Nadira Singh (the late Buddy), Mala Persaud (Navin) all of Guyana and Jai Singh (Lolita), Dave Singh (Diane), Kamla Balram (Omkar), and Indra Dass (Samuel) all of Hamilton. Will be missed by his 27 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Singh, Rajkumar 1965-2008

Suddenly on October 29, 2008, Rajkumar Singh left behind a loving wife and his four girls. A devoted husband to Rajwattee (Surita) Singh, and proud father was a symbol to humanity. He will forever be remembered for his smile, energy and personality. He was not only a great husband, father brother and uncle to many; but he was a hardworking, loyal co-worker that was taken far too soon from this earth. Resting at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East (between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa), HAMILTON (905-574-0405), on Saturday, November 1st, 7-9 p.m., Sunday, November 2nd, 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5th (time t.b.a.) Cremation to follow. A time like this is not only difficult emotionally, but could also have a financial impact on this family. After a courageous battle with heart disease, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2009, at the age of 84.

Devoted and loving husband of Lois for 58 years, founders of The Elves Workshop, Vincent also successfully built M&P Transport into a nationwide carrier. Admired father to Jeffrey (Deborah) and predeceased by daughter Kimberly Ann Frid (David). Cherished grandfather to Rob (Sarah) and Andrew Frid, great grandfather to Tegan.

Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME , 1010 Botanical Drive (across from the Royal Botanical Gardens) BURLINGTON (905 527 0405) on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 1 p.m. with a private family service to follow at 2 p.m. Interment at Woodland cemetery , Burlington.
