It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of David at “The Carpenter Hospice”, on April 24, 2009, after a courageous battle with Lymphoma and Melanoma Cancer. David was in his 49th year.
Dearly loved son of Joan and the late Derek Whittle (1999) of Burlington. Dearest brother of Diane and husband Jeremy Palmer of Caledon, Paul Whittle of Vaughan, and Karen and husband Steve Breitner of Dundas. Loving Uncle of Adair and Michelle Palmer, Kurtis and Drake Whittle, and Sarah and Jonathon Breitner. Dear nephew of Margaret and Raymond Whittle of England & Glenys and Abe Friesen of Manitoba. David was a 30-year employee of Smurfit-MBI of Burlington.
At David’s request there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place. Visitation with our family will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009, from 2- 4pm at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (behind Royal Botanical Gardens) BURLINGTON (905-527-0405).

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved husband and father, Michael Wiecek, on February 21, 2010 in his 90th year. Husband of June for 60 years, proud and loving father of Lynda, Irene, Helen, Susie and Elizabeth, and father-in-law of Serge, George, and Gerry. Beloved grandfather of David, Paul, Nicholas and Katherine. He will be greatly missed by his brother and sister-in-law Henry and Marysia Wiecek and by his many nieces and nephews.
Dad loved having his family around him and had a great appreciation for nature. His main wish was that we would each be happy. He cherished time at the cottage and his life on the land and lake. He made a wonderful life in Canada for all of his descendents and we will honour his memory by living our lives to the fullest.

In his 70th year, beloved husband of Carole Anne Wilson. Peacefully on July 19, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital after living with ALS for the past 13 years. Much loved son of the late Earl and Frances Wilson. Dear son-in-law of Audrey Taylor and the late Herb Taylor. Dear loving father of Tim and his wife Julie, Tanya, Chris and his wife Michelle. Proud brother of Marlyne and the late Wayne Van Exan. Brother-in-law of Joyce and Ed Bothen, Ron and Ginny Taylor, Herb and Peggy Taylor. Adored Poppa to Courtney, Zachary and Azure-lee. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He went out of his way to bring joy to all those he encountered. His passion for life was infectious. Tireless advocate and supporter of the ALS Society of Ontario. Bruce received the 2005 Hamilton Health Sciences Cornerstone award for his work with patients and hospital administration identifying and improving wheelchair accessibility at McMaster University. He was a resource for students studying the needs of the physically challenged. His work with the students earned him the designation of Professional Associate from McMaster University. Life long member of All Saint's Anglican Church. He was a server and recipient of the Order of Niagara. Long time member and Inky award winner with Hamilton Theatre Inc. Special thanks to the loving care given by the medical teams in the BTU, General Hospital and the rehab team at St Peter's hospital Dr. Turnbull was a constant resource to Bruce during his long battle with ALS. Suddenly on June 1, 2009 Catherine Fraser Wilson born on October 4, 1935 in Dundee, Scotland in her 74th year passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She is predeceased by her husband David and survived by her brother George (Maureen) Brown. Devoted mother to Grant, Valerie (Terry) and Gary. Great-grandmother of Sandy, Logan, Verity and Ginny. Born November 6, 1907 in Toronto and spent all of her married life in St. Catharines. Malcolm passed away peacefully on Thursday March 5, 2009 after a courageous battle. With loving memories we are left to celebrate the life of our husband, father, grandfather and friend. Malcolm has left behind his beloved wife and best friend Brenda. Malcolm was the loving father of Bruce (Cheryl), Kirk, Shelley (Dave), and Tracey (Joe), and his grandchildren Todd and Trisha, Peter and Tommy, Emily and Emerson. He also leaves behind three step children Terry, Cheryl (JD), Kevin (Michelle), and their children with whom he has shared many memories. After retiring from Stelco (employee of 32 years), he enjoyed sailing and spent many happy hours with his golfing buddies. Malcolm will be greatly missed by all. Cremation has taken place.
