MCCAIG, Edna M. - Peacefully at Perth on Wednesday December 5th, 2007 Edna M. (James) McCaig (formerly of Elliott Lake) at the age of 84 years. Loved mother of Jane (Gerry) Ozon, Anne (Jack) Bowes and Andrew McCaig; she will be sadly missed by her grandchildren. Dear sister of Harry (Iris) James of England and the late Ron James. RAINS, Laurence Edward - “The Ole' Saw Duster” - July 1, 1925 - December 7, 2007 - He passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the Sault Area Hospital - General Site in his 83rd year. Loving husband of 60 years to Marie. Father of Gloria (Gord) and Brian (Jackileen). Papa to Stephen and Shelly, grandpa of Lawson (Jessica) and Linsey. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Elizabeth, his brother Murray and his sister Jean. Brother-in-law of Mary Lou. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff at the Sault Area Hospital ICU. TURCOTTE, Adele - Born December 18, 1989 in St. John, New Brunswick; Adele passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the age of 17 years. Dearly loved daughter of Denis and Julie. Loving sister of Danielle, Patrick and Phillip. Dear grandaughter of; Andre and Raymonde Turcotte of Thunder Bay and Denise and the late Lucien Lemaire of Orleans. Niece of; Philip and Kerri Turcotte, Josee and Bob Ballantyne, Michele and Lucy Lemaire , Sue and the late Andre Lemaire. Fondly remembered by her many other relatives and friends. Adele had Diabetes since the age of 6 years and worked hard at having a normal life in spite of it. Adele was a kind, loving and protective sister always watching over her sister and brothers. She always stood for those who had difficulty doing so for themselves. She believed in being up front, direct and honest about her feelings. Adele had the heart of a lion and cared for all things true and good. She strongly believed in family first and followed the motto, 'Families stick together and help each other out.' To her mom and dad she was that wonderful little girl with the twinkle in her eye and a zeal for life. We will all miss her and never forget her. WILSON, Charles Leroy - Peacefully at the SAH on Thursday, December 6, 2007 in his 93rd year. Dear husband of the late Louise. Devoted father of Bob (Mary), John (Judy) and the late Ronald. Grandfather of Cameron, Christian, Michael (Jennifer), Clinton (Kara) and Charlie. Special great grandfather of David. Beloved brother of Pauline Taylor (late Jack) of Sarnia. Brother in law of the late Harry, Albert (Moon) and Fred (Mickey) Garrison. Survived by several nieces and nephews in Southern Ontario. Special friend of Red Nelson and family and Bill Patterson. Charlie was born in Sarnia on October 14, 1915 where he grew up, married then moved to the Sault in the 1930's to work at Algoma Steel. He was a veteran, loved hunting and fishing, a past member of the Rod, Gun and Pistol Club, and the 34th Technical squadron where he attained the Rank of Regimental Sergeant Major. He was a devoted caregiver to our mother for many years. The former Luella Plant was the beloved wife of “Tom“ Russel Wark. She was the loving mother of Wayne and his wife Karen, Garnet and his wife April, Phyllis and her husband Doug Pennock and Debbie and her husband Brian Kirk. Dear sister of Gordon Plant, Laverne Plant and Eleanor and her husband Fred Carty. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her 9 grandchildren: Melissa and Jim, Amy and Daryl, Kyle, Tristan, Kevin, Krista, Whitney, Austin and Joshua as well by her great- grandson: Jimmy-Mac. Sister-in-law of Ross and Lorraine Wark, Gordon and Marjorie Wark, Freda and Bruce Hardy, Bernice and Steve Strba and Doreen and Bev Kirkland. Predeceased by her parents: Harvey and Marina Plant, her parents-in-law: Garnet and Myrtle Wark, her brother Mel, brothers-in- law and sisters-in-law: Laverne and Betty Wark and Ivan and Alvera Wark. Friends may call at the CURRIE FUENRAL HOME, in Chatsworth for visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 1p.m. Melinda Cornfield will be the officiating clergyperson. Interment will take place at Hillcrest cemetery in Tara. Ronald Conrad Bouchard

BOUCHARD, Ronald Conrad (1951- 2007) - The family is very sad to announce the sudden death of Ronald Bouchard, 56 years, December 2, 2007 at his home in Calgary. Loving father of Wesley Toppazzini of Whistler, B.C., and Whitney Bouchard of Calgary, AB. Cherished son of Rae (Rejeanne LaRue) and Butch (predeceased), brother Gary (Claire) and sister Lynn. Will never be forgotten by his nephew Christopher and nieces Deana, Renee, Danielle and Liane. Ron was an ironworker who began his career in Sudbury with Local 786, then later transferring his card to Local 725 in Calgary where he worked on many projects in a supervisory capacity. Ron was an accomplished pool and dart player; he was a fun loving man with many friends and will be missed. A Celebration of Life will take place in Calgary on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Pierson Funeral Service Ltd. In Ron's memory donations to the Heart and Stroke Association would be greatly appreciated.

June Alietha (nee Desjardins) Cecchini

CECCHINI, June Alietha (Desjardins) - Our mother joined hands with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007. She peacefully surrendered her soul to reunite with her husband Jack, predeceased 1999, and children Thomas (1950), Donna Marie (2005) (husband Brian Sawyer) and Deborah Ann (2007) (husband Bud Schmidt). She was surrounded with love, peace and her adoring children Mary Lou Arseneau (Leo), Gary (Rose Marie), Pamela Humphrey (Richard), Tom (Barb), Carolyn Pennock (Cliff), Tracy Roy (Andy), Connie Conlon (Michael), Jackie Cecchini- McAuley (Kenneth). She was the proud grandmother to 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her. She was blessed with many life long relatives and friends whom she cherished. Born in 1929 in Danberry, Connecticut and raised in Prescott, Ontario, she was the daughter of Melvin and Bessie Desjardins (Thorpe). She moved to Capreol when she married her husband Jack of 52 years in 1947. She devoted her whole life to her 11 children. Tiredlessly she never stopped loving, teaching, cooking and caring for them. Some of her precious and peaceful memories were spending time at the family cottage with them playing Euchre, dominos and enjoying sunlite days and nature. A very special thanks to Dr. R. Mehta for the wonderful care, respect, attention and affection he showed our mother. She always said how special he was. A special thank you, as well, to Natalie Moyle, mom's primary nurse, for her exceptional care and support day and night. The family is forever indebted. Arrangements have been entrusted to LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, HANMER/CAPREOL, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer. Friends may call 2- 6 p.m. Friday, December 7th, 2007. A private service to celebrate our mother's life will take place the following day. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney foundation would be appreciated. Daughter of the late Philippe and of the late Ida (née Dionne) Bruneau. Wife of the late Guillaume Malbeuf, of the late Joseph MacDonald and of the late René Fortier. Loving mother of Roger Malbeuf (Yvette) of Webbwood, Donald Malbeuf (friend Marie MacBain) of Sudbury, Maurice Malbeuf and Ronald Malbeuf (Shelley) all of Edmonton. Predeceased by her son Robert (late Betty). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren and her 8 great- grandchildren. Lauri Iisakki Kriikula

KRIIKULA, Lauri Iisakki - In loving memory of Lauri Iisakki Kriikula, in his 100th year, who passed away Wednesday morning, December 5th, 2007 at the Finlandia Koti. Beloved husband of Aili (Makela) Kriikula predeceased January 10th, 1991. Loving step grandfather of many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sadly missed by his niece Irene Poikkimaki, and many great nieces and nephews. Born in Kurikka, Finland, he moved to Canada in 1929, marrying Aili in Sudbury in 1955. Sherdon George “Gary“ Lott

LOTT, Sherdon George “Gary“ - In loving memory of Sherdon George “Gary“ Lott, 84 years of Sudbury who passed away Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. He was born in Clouston, Saskatchewan and married Elizabeth “Betty“ (Soward) in Halifax, N.S. in 1945. A proud Canadian Gary had served in the Canadian Army during World War II. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #564, Lockerby, the Sudbury Garrison Old Guard and the R.C.M.P. Veterans Association. He had been the Safety Supervisor at the Copper Cliff Smelter retiring from INCO in 1982 with 34 years service. Gary had been a member of the Association to Advance Ethical Hypnosis and the International Society for Professional Hypnosis; he also had been a member of the Sudbury Militia for 17 years, life member of the Caruso Club Golden Age Club and the Sudbury Lodge #658 AF & AM. An Anglican, he belonged to St. John the Divine Church. Gary lived the lessons taught by Jesus as a Good Shepherd and Good Samaritan to all he met. He will be well remembered for his goodness and values by his loving family and many friends. Beloved husband of 62 years of Elizabeth “Betty“ (Soward) Lott of Sudbury. Loving father of Carole Landon of Kingston and Michael (Desiree) of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Leigh Kent (Matthew) and Jess Landon (Samantha); great grandchildren Maguire, Rory, Fergus, Kyla and Savannah. Predeceased by her three sons, Gabriel (wife Lucie), Léo (late Rita) and Armand (late Thérèse) and by her daugther Rollande Paquette.
